Morning all. Sorry for the later than usual thread, but I'm away at the moment/1

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

As we've now completed the first two, more strict, weeks of Bootcamp you have a choice. You can move on to Bootcamp Light, (rules are on the spreadsheet tabs), which essentially means you can add in a few nuts/seeds, and some fruit (berries, and strictly in moderation), and you can have alcohol occasionally.

However, if you haven't really done Bootcamp strictly enough, or you cheated, or just because you think it's going well, you can stay on Bootcamp. (If you do, though, please make sure your carbs are mainly coming from vegetables and salad, to make sure that you're getting a good balance of nutrition)

Alternatively, you can do Bootcamp during the week but Bootcamp Light at the weekend. The choice is yours.

However, there is one thing I have to warn you about. Weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for little or no weight loss. If this happens to you, please don't panic! Just keep on keeping on and things will start to move again.

After initial big losses in the first couple of weeks, you can't feasibly expect to see that continue, and you should that weight loss settles down at around 1-3lbs a week, depending on how much you have to lose.

Good luck all! Flowers

Well done to all the losers - keep at it to all those who sts.
I'm on a bit of a road trip - staying with my parents atm and it's very hard. My parents eat a lot of sugar, visited my brother yesterday and again masses of sugar - feels quite sad to be saying No thank you all the time. And while travelling I have had to resort to emergency peanuts to deal with hunger pangs, I hadn't packed enough low carb snacks to take me through 2 days of travelling. No alcohol though so at least that's something.Smile
Yesterday's food
Had a lovely breakfast - bacon, eggs and fried tomatoes
Lunch - boiled ham and a couple of cherry toms - nice enough for an emergency
Dinner - slow cooked pork shoulder with roasted butternut squash, buttered leeks, spring cabbage and a smidge of unsweetened home made apple sauce.....which was so delicious and comforting - it was exactly what I needed to remove the feeling of deprivation.

Moving forward will continue doing dairy free, coconut free BC with some wine cheats at the weekend.

lexloofah · 31/05/2016 08:06

ready congrats on the promotion

blacktea I was the same at Easter for weeks on end and found LC to be very hard indeed, had to resort to two rounds of antibiotics in the end to shift it, hope you feel better soon

Well best laid plans and all that, our weekend away started fine, M&S picnic for lunch, all BC Lite then dinner out, duck and veg, lovely but then next day DH started with terrible stomach flu, poss the noro virus that has been mentioned so all plans out the window, had to drive home early which included getting stuck on the M4, poor DH all he wanted to do was get home asap. So nothing planned for tea as not supposed to be home for it so succumbed to carbs for a meal plus a bit of comfort eating and feel awful today as well as 3lbs heavier which is a shame as until then was feeling slimmer.

Back on it today with lots and lots of water and a long walk planned for later, goes to show it happens to be best of us and just need to put it behind me and move on

ReggaeShark · 31/05/2016 08:10

Kummerspeck I wonder if you're eating enough fat? That is what gives us the full and satisfied feeling. Sounds as if you're limiting it too much.

I weighed yesterday and while I'm not sure of my starting Wright as haven't weighed for a few weeks (and was too scared to when I started) I think I've lost 5LB. Yippee.

Did an unintentional intermittent fast yesterday as no time for breakfast. It really threw me out for the rest of the day. Felt hungry and had a terrible headache all afternoon and evening despite trying every kind of snack and drinking loads.

Half term this week so have filled fridge with bc food so I don't give in to temptation.

MushroomTree · 31/05/2016 08:11

No loss this week. Getting a bit disheartened now as haven't really lost anything for ages. Maybe my body just thinks I should be 11st 4lbs and isn't going to budge!

ReggaeShark · 31/05/2016 08:18

How long since you lost Mushroom? Are you hard core bc'ing? Not too many treats? When I've done this woe in the past I ended up eating too many nuts/carb heavier veg/wine---- and stalled for ages. Not saying you're doing this.

reader77 · 31/05/2016 08:20

I weighed again today and am just under 164... 163.8 to be precise. But ha! Broke that barrier! Grin I'd been stuck there a week!

I think the main reason a diet/woe doesn't seem to work is that we don't stay on it long enough and give up. Koko!

CiderwithBuda · 31/05/2016 08:29

Morning all.

Sorry some people are feeling disheartened. It is hard to carry on if you aren't seeing results. Post your food and we will see if there is anything obvious.

I'm a pound up this morning. Not enough happening in the bathroom department and I forgot to take my magnesium yesterday.

Food yesterday
B 2 black farmer sausages and some egg mayo
L Peri peri chicken and salad with mayo dressing and avocado
S 2 black farmer sausages (love cold sausages!)
D - chicken fajitas with cauli rice, avocado, grated cheese and sour cream. It wasn't ideal as it was a packet mix and had sugar in but I got DH to make me some plain chicken too as he does with DS and I added lots of plain chicken to the fajita chicken to sort of dilute it a bit. I'm going to make up a jar of fajita spice mix with no nastiness as its a meal we all like.

Drank all my water. Measuring the amount in a particular glass and working out how many glasses I need in the day has really helped. As has the app on my phone.

Lex - that's a shame about your DH getting ill on your weekend away.

Ready - congratulations! Prosecco definitely called for.

Mothership - can you try drinking your water earlier in the day? I ended up having four glasses left to drink at about 6pm which I did and it was th first night I had to get up to pee for a while. I'm going to try to drink more early in the day.

Have a good day all.

RoundTheBend · 31/05/2016 08:43

Morning! I lost 4lbs this week and am very pleased with that. I had a weekend where I was "encouraged" to go off plan but I did my best to stick with it whenever I could.

At work at the mo, so will catch up and read the thread tonight.

SingToMeInFrench · 31/05/2016 08:54

1lb off, happy with that.

Have a butter chicken in the Slow
Cooker and having pork belly for breakfast!

Going to stick with bootcamp for a week or so more, I need to be stricter

Well done everyone!

MontserratCaballe · 31/05/2016 09:03

Morning!

Sts for me this week but away for the weekend so had a couple of non plan treats. It's now 2 weeks til I go to Spain for my holidays so I need to stick to it. It's hard in half term though but I shall persevere.

Congratulations, Ready, lovely news Smile

Well done to all the losers and KOKO to everyone else.

Pisseslikeahorse · 31/05/2016 09:09

Good morning all,

Just putting my head around the door to have a moan. Not really been feeling it lately with a good few family problems messing up my world and trying to get out of a s* job into something decent and had to stop running with a calf injury, . Still trundling along with the low carb just been adding in some booze but the foods been good and the taste in my mouth is awful so its working. Grin

poorbuthappy · 31/05/2016 09:20

0.2lb off... which is quite disappointing cos I feel thinner, my belly has definitely shrunk!
I'm sticking to BC for this week.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 31/05/2016 09:30

Had a couple of strawberries yesterday with my yoghurt- they tasted sooo sweet, almost overbearingly so!

Still not missing pasta or bread at all.

DoingItForMyselfAtLast · 31/05/2016 10:23

After my pitiful moaning yesterday morning about not losing anything, I got my period in the afternoon and this morning I am down 1.6 lbs! Damn bloating and water retention! So that's exactly 9 gone in total. Love it! I've updated my numbers on the spread sheet.

Am really going to try and keep the water going this week - think I tapered off last week and was drinking too little.

Xoticdreamz · 31/05/2016 10:32

Morning, weighed in this morning at 128 lb if someone could update please that would be great.
Not a huge loss for me this week but that will be the booze at the weekend.
I'm going to continue on boot camp but I will have the occasional gin and slim.
Away overnight tonight in Glasgow as getting some more tattoo s added to my back.
Waiting for my new phone to arrive first ,been a right pain over the last few days not having one.
KOKO everyone .

LaserShark · 31/05/2016 10:42

I give up with my scales, weighed eight times this morning and got six different weights. I may have lost 4lbs, gained 2lbs, stayed the same or somewhere in between!

regularbutpanickingabit · 31/05/2016 10:59

Late check in after an insane weekend!
Again, masses of thanks for the advice on portable and picnic food. It made all the difference to my weekend planning and eating and means the only thing I lacked was a steady consumption of water. Toilets were gross! I made up for it at the beginning and end of the day.

Anyway, 3.5lb off this week which makes 9lb in two weeks. THRILLED!!!! DH also says I have lost that bloated grey face look which is probably down to cutting out alcohol, damn it.

Celebrated a successful competition with a G&T last night which tasted like nectar but was actually enough. One G&T is never enough usually, so that's also great!

Today's food:
B - 3 egg scramble with butter and cream plus slice of cheese
L - prosciutto, mozzarella and tomato mixed leaf salad
D - roasted chicken thighs with roasted veg and feta
S - not sure yet. Parmesan crisps are calling my name and I have lots of celery and cream cheese left over so probably that. And cheese. I do love cheese!

MushroomTree · 31/05/2016 11:06

I've been losing and gaining the same 1lb for weeks. Was being fairly strict in the run up to bootcamp and since bootcamp I've been mega strict and managed not to cheat at all.

I've been drinking so much water I feel like a fish! Going to ditch the dairy this week and see how that goes.

Just very frustrating particularly as I was a size 6/8 as a teenager and now I'm in my mid twenties I can't seem to get below 11st!

SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2016 11:12

I'm away from home at the moment, and have no access to scales, so can't weigh myself. Will do so tomorrow morning when I'm home, and will update the spreadsheet then. In the meantime, please don't delete me!

I have done ok with eating out. Last night I had a burger without the bun and chips, but with a large mushroom, cheese, and some home made tartare sauce and slaw. As I had asked for no chips, the pub kindly offered me a different side order instead, so I had some lovely green cabbage, which made such a difference to the dish.

reader77 · 31/05/2016 11:24

mushroom that's my mini goal at the moment: the 11 stone barrier. Argh!

MushroomTree · 31/05/2016 11:31

reader77 I'd be happy if I could just get below that. My first bootcamp I lost 2st with minimal effort. This last 7lbs just won't budge!

I've got a two week holiday next week so after that I think I need to ramp up the cardio and see if that helps Hmm

Nateismine · 31/05/2016 11:41

Please could someone enter my wt as 133.4. Thanks.

STS this weekend- to be expected after 6 months of low carbing. Just need to lose another 6lbs, will probably have to cut dairy to achieve this.

wombattoo · 31/05/2016 13:59

Afternoon everyone.
Spreadsheet has been updated.

To those who are disappointed about the weigh in - I had a period of this, where the scales refused to move, but my clothes were still getting looser.
KOKO Thanks

Veryflummoxed · 31/05/2016 14:07

Hi thanks to whoever updated my weight on the spreadsheet yesterday. Just noticed that although the new weight is in it's not showing the pound lost. No idea why.

WanHeda · 31/05/2016 15:06

Just want to recommend 2 cook books that I am enjoying. Some of the recipes are not 100% BC but the majority are and can help if anyone one is in a rut with food. My fave is The Real Meal Revolution and the other I bought is Joe Wicks Lean in 15. Have bookmarked a few recipes in them to try.
