Morning all! I'm excited to see what the scales are telling everyone this week - it sounds like we've had some great results so far!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Here's to another successful week

Thank you for adding me to the s/sheet. Flowers

Today was an ok day. Felt a bit zapped of energy. When does the energy slump disappear?

B: mushrooms fried in butter
L: tuna salad
S: some chicken and spinach leaves
D: fish and spinach in butter with a side of veg

2 L water.

MrsDesperado · 23/05/2016 21:19

I'm almost 3lb down to 135.75lb. Happy with that! Tummy feels slimmer too.

Would someone be able to add this to the spreadsheet for me, please?

Congrats on the losses everyone Flowers

monkeyfacegrace · 23/05/2016 21:19

Oh god I've been really bad tonight Blush

I roasted a pork shoulder, a small one but a shoulder never the less, and I've eaten the entire thing, smothered in sour cream and guacamole and it was AMAZING Blush

I know we don't count the calories as such, but yikes Blush

KP86 · 23/05/2016 21:28

Ended up same as last week, if someone could please update me - all thanks to my (long planned) non-LC day yesterday.

Back on it today, though. Had so many snacks, I always find first day back really hard.
B: eggs and mushrooms
L: Covent Garden mushroom soup, cheese and ham roll up
AT: Pork scratchings
Pre-dinner: 30g hazelnuts (carefully weighed)
D: steak with roasted LC vegies, topped with mushroom and butter sauce
Snack: handful 80% chocolate chips

Water: around 2L. Last night I drank 1.5L overnight. Had to refill my bottle twice!

BIWI · 23/05/2016 21:30

Sorry for putting in such a late appearance - bit of a busy day today!

SoMuch I know you're frustrated but:

  • you're 3lbs down, which is brilliant. That's 6 packs of lard! (Mmm lard ...)
  • you are in the dreaded stall period. It's very, very common for people not to lose anything in weeks 3 and 4.
  • you don't really weigh that much, so you're not going to suddenly drop half a stone - your weight loss is likely to be more gradual

Here's what I would do:

  • drink more water
  • add more fat; your protein choices (apart from the roast pork) are fairly low fat, so go for fattier meat. Go for belly pork instead of a loin, for example
  • cut out the processed food (bacon, and the burgers - unless you've been making them yourself from scratch?)
  • go without the cream in your tea, and stay dairy free for a few days

But really these are tweaks - your meals look fine, so hopefully once you get into next week, the scales will start to move again for you

I've added you LazyCake and I updated your weight MrsD.

wombat I also managed to change the colour back (1 cell refuses to change!) I moved Sabine up a few rows. I can't alphabetize it though.

monkey I ate a ridiculous amount of pork cracking this morning, I'm sure it's fine....

granjinx · 23/05/2016 21:31

So happy - I started Bootcamp a week early and have lost 11lbs in 2 weeks. Will continue with Bootcamp as I have a lot to lose. Thanks BIWI for organising this life saver.

BIWI · 23/05/2016 21:32

monkeyface What on earth do you mean?

Oh god I've been really bad tonight

I roasted a pork shoulder, a small one but a shoulder never the less, and I've eaten the entire thing, smothered in sour cream and guacamole and it was AMAZING blush

I know we don't count the calories as such, but yikes

What's wrong with that?! Plenty of fat, good protein and low carb.

BIWI · 23/05/2016 21:32

granjinx that's amazing! Well done! Flowers

Because it was about 600g at a guess and approx a gazillion calories and was oozing with oil and I covered it in salt and it was SO GOOD that it must have been bad Grin

It's not normal for one human to be able to consume that volume of food in one go.

But hey ho, I have literally no desire for carbs or sugar so I'm still abiding by your rules Smile

BIWI · 23/05/2016 21:35

Indiana you should be drinking 3.5 litres of water every day, not 2 litres. That will help not only with your weight but also with the energy.

And if you're eating enough fat (and food in general) you should expect to feel much more energetic from now onwards!

BIWI · 23/05/2016 21:36

STOP WORRYING ABOUT THE CALORIES! Grin

SabineUndine I'm a bit confused - are you low carbing/following Bootcamp?

I realise that you've lost a lot of weight following your own regime (well done!), but eating apple and beans isn't low carb, so just need to make sure that you know that!

Thank you SayrraT Flowers

Thanks, Sayrra. Flowers

Veryflummoxed · 23/05/2016 21:54

Good evening and well done all.

It's been a bit difficult on the food front today so not the most nutritious of food for lunch and a bit low on the water.

B Left over Beef burger and the rest of the coleslaw.

L pork scratchings and two baby bel.

D 2 chicken thighs. Cauliflower and spinach, well buttered.

Black tea. I'm starting to adjust to no milk in my tea now but I drink very little compared to before BC because I'm so full of water.

trixymalixy · 23/05/2016 21:54

Today's food has been:

B egg and chicken salad
L tuna and avocado salad
D homemade chilli (no beans and not too much tomato) with sour cream, cheese and jalapeños.

Gcalgske · 23/05/2016 21:55

hehe monkey worse things have happened. I have to keep protein moderate to lose but I find so tough. I could easily eat a whole pork belly roast.

regularbutpanickingabit its ok, it's a highly refined coconut oil. Doesn't have the coconut taste or smell. I use it for deep frying occasionally and oil pulling.
I try to have food that is processed as little as possible so I use the cold pressed and a lightly steamed one when I don't want a coconut taste (biona cuisine). Coconut oil has MCTs which are great for energy and I've been told that this one has less due to the processing.

restinglawyer · 23/05/2016 21:55

Very happy to have lost 2lb in my third week of LC (7lb overall) despite 3 days in a hotel for work and the whole weekend sitting in Twickenham stadium with three children. Felt a real sense of being in charge of what I eat, so hope that lasts through the stall which will probably follow. Thank you BIWI and fellow bootcampers for lots of inspiration.

Gcalgske · 23/05/2016 22:02

lunch was a small chicken thigh fried with 1/2 an under ripe avocado in butter and hot sauce. Coffee with cream.
Dinner was a hm burger with a little cheddar, the other half of the avocado fried with shallots, mushrooms, slice of tomato, lettuce, hm mayo and olive oil.

if you open an avocado and it's hard don't chuck it, fry it in butter till the outside is crisp. It's awesome.

SabineUndine · 23/05/2016 22:04

Monkeyface, would love to know if you used any particular spicing on your pork?

monkeyfacegrace · 23/05/2016 22:06

sabine Nope. Just shoulder out the packet, rubbed salt over the skin and roasted for couple hours. Hot, juicy, greasy lushness.

SabineUndine · 23/05/2016 22:13

Monkeyface was it pullable, though? drools slightly

Billionnairewannabe · 23/05/2016 22:31

Thanks for the new thread & motivation BIWI. Wow - some great losses - well done!

I'm pleased to have lost 2.5lb. I haven't done it as I religiously as I would have liked mainly due to having awful cold and not being able to face proper food or drink all that water.

Today's more on track:
B- FF yoghurt
L - prawns with avocado salad
D - Moussaka (of sorts) - aubergines fried in butter, bolognaise, sprinkle of cheese. (Is it possible to live on one dish alone as this would be it for me!)

KOKO everyone!

CiderwithBuda · 23/05/2016 22:32

Evening all.

Food today -
B last of th breakfast muffins
L salad of baby kale leaves, four cherry toms, some red pepper, cucumber, four stuffed cherry peppers, smoked makerel and mayo and oil dressing, oh and avocado
S two Babybels
D pork stroganoff with cabbage greens fried in butter

Feeling bunged up and struggled with water today - I think about 2 l rather than th 3.5 I need. Two herbal teas too. Did some weeding in the garden and felt really shaky after. Took a multivitamin. Am feeling like I've no energy so hoping that helps. Coming upstairs to bed my legs felt like lead!
