Morning all! I'm excited to see what the scales are telling everyone this week - it sounds like we've had some great results so far!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Here's to another successful week

Can I ask if this coconut oil is ok? It has zero carbs but not sure about any other problems! It was on offer for £1 at tesco...

No idea re the coconut, sorry. I'm starving today. Can't stop bloody eating cheese.

I've had,

B: egg and minced beef fried with spinach
L: chorizo chunks fried with spinach and oil
Snacks of cheese cheese and more chunks of cheese.

We've got no food in the fridge and I can't get to the shops until later tonight so there's no veg to snack on or make a proper meal. I've just bunged a pork shoulder in the oven, so will have that with aubergine, courgette, mushrooms and sprouts for tea.

wombattoo · 23/05/2016 17:17

Evening everyone. There are some fantastic losses. Well done all Thanks

I've been through both threads and updated everyone on the spreadsheet.
3.5 off for me. I'm well pleased Grin

regular That coconut oil looks fine to me.

SoMuch Do you want to list out what you've been eating so we can try and spot something?

Thanks for the new thread BIWI

Just had a nice tea, have been looking for more meals to eat with the kids. We had roast pork and broccoli in cheese sauce and I added some mashed potatoes for the kids.

Only issue was the cheese sauce was quite runny, I just used extra thick cream and grated cheddar. Anyone know how to thicken without flour?

SoMuchToBits · 23/05/2016 17:31

Ok, wombat, here's what I've been eating for the last few days.

Breakfast every day has been 2 eggs, 1 rasher bacon, 2 mushrooms, 1 small tomato, either fried or made into an omelette, but cooked in butter either way.

Lunch has been a salad, which has always included spinach leaves, cucumber and mushroom, sometimes a bit of red pepper or tomato. Yesterday I had that with prawns, avocado and mayonnaise. The previous day with chicken breast, avocado and mayo, the day before with lamb burger and mayo.

Dinners - last night's was roast pork with crackling, broccoli and asparagus with a blob of butter on top, and gravy, made from meat juices, some weak stock, but no flour. The night before was salmon wrapped in prosciutto, baked in olive oil, with spinach and herbs wilted in butter and leeks and courgette, also cooked in butter. The day before I had mini steakburgers with mayonnaise and broccoli/asparagus with butter.

Snacks, I was having Babybels until I had been advised to reduce dairy, so have been using them up, but yesterday had some cold leftover chicken breast (cooked in butter) instead, and today had olives.

Have been drinking 2l water a day, and a few cups of tea with double cream.

wombattoo · 23/05/2016 17:42

Well I can't see anything wrong with those meals So
I can't remember if this was your first week, but stalls are notorious in weeks 3/4. All I can suggest is keep on and hopefully you will have a whoosh Thanks

wombattoo · 23/05/2016 17:44

The only other thing I can suggest So is are your portions big enough?
Hopefully BIWI will come along later with some real advice.

Iamdobby63 · 23/05/2016 17:53

StrawberryLeaf I make my cheese sauce slightly differently; knob of butter, tbsp or two of full fat cream cheese and lots of grated cheese. Zap in micro for 1 min and stir.

SabineUndine · 23/05/2016 17:53

Hello Wombat, hello everyone else!

How do I get on the spreadsheet please? Starting weight is 235 pounds (actually starting weight was about 260 but that was back in February).

WanHeda · 23/05/2016 17:54

Was treated to a lovely lunch at a posh golf hotel today, had the mushroom soup which was perfectly low carb. Dinner is crispy fried chicken thighs, avocado & mayo.

I have not had periods in years, yet today I have the start of one. Oh well.

Iamdobby63 · 23/05/2016 17:54

Doh, meant to say, it's quite a thick sauce!

SoMuchToBits · 23/05/2016 17:55

This was week 4 for me - I did 3 weeks before Bootcamp started, but only lost 3lb so far.

My portions look ok to me, but maybe I should take some photos. I certainly don't feel still hungry when I've eaten a meal.

I know I'm 54 and past the menopause, but hoped this WOE might have been the answer, where previous diets/weight loss plans have failed, despite the fact I have stuck to them. I've been a stone or two overweight for most of my adult life, and have only ever twice succeeded in losing the weight, and both times the weight loss was very slow (last time I lost 22lb in 31 weeks, and that was 17 years ago).

SoMuchToBits · 23/05/2016 17:57

The unexpected period sounds a bit inconvenient, WanHeda! Shock On the other hand the soup sounds lovely.

wombattoo · 23/05/2016 17:58

Welcome Sabine I have added you to the bottom of the spreadsheet.

Sayrra There are a block of blue cells on the spreadsheet which I don't want to mess with, so I have added SabineUndine below those. Don't know if that's the right thing>

wombattoo · 23/05/2016 18:01

So I think you are in the dreaded stall period. I have had this on previous boot camps, but although the scales didn't go down, my measurements went down and clothes were looser. Don't know how.

SabineUndine · 23/05/2016 18:05

Thanks Wombat. I am trying to avoid snacking then I got hijacked by some feta at 4pm. Lunch was half a tin of low sugar Heinz beans, 15g grated pecorino and a poached egg. Breakfast 100g Greek yogurt and a stewed apple. Dinner is going to be a huge salad plate with ALL the things and half a can of tuna and some olives and grilled red peppers.

Iamdobby63 · 23/05/2016 18:14

SabineUndine Low sugar baked beans and stewed Apple?

Wintersea · 23/05/2016 18:15

Thank you for updating the spreadsheet wombattoo
Lunch today was pancetta and spinach fried home made garlic/sea salt butter- lovely
Snack - an avocado and small slice of smoked mackerel around 5ish

Also coffees (2 caffeine, 2 decaf) with bit of cream in each
Not sure about dinner yet...
I'm same age So and similarly hoping the menopause won't make it impossibly hard to lose weight...

WanHeda · 23/05/2016 18:17

Sabine, what a great loss you have had :) welcome!

Somuch - yes, bit of a pain but I am taking it as a good sign that my body is releasing fat!

SoMuchToBits · 23/05/2016 18:18

wombat, my clothes felt a bit looser after the first week, but since then they seem about the same. I'm definitely less bloated, but not sure I've lost much fat.

I'm going to keep sticking with the LCing though, as the other benefits are worth it!

SabineUndine · 23/05/2016 18:19

Iamdobby the apple for breakfast, the beanz for lunch!

Statelychangers · 23/05/2016 18:20

somuch I didn't get any weight loss at all for the first 3 weeks! Then things started to happen. Have you measured yourself?

ClopySow · 23/05/2016 18:21

Just back from my weekend away, there was wine, but i've been doing this since 20th April ish so not in my first 2 weeks.

But, after sticking more rigidly to bootcamp, i lost inches last week.

My scales are bonkers, veering wildly between 14 and 15.5 stone, so i'm not weighing in today. I'll either do it in boots tomorrow (scarey) or order a decent set and weigh in next week if that's ok.

Had a lovely time away, but glad to be home cooking my first meal without the feeling that i'm missing out. Lamb and braised cabbage.

SoMuchToBits · 23/05/2016 18:21

Here's hoping, Wintersea!

SoMuchToBits · 23/05/2016 18:22

stately, no I haven't measured myself. In the past I've felt that my measurements change by the hour, depending on bloating etc, so wasn't sure how accurate they'd be.
