Morning all! I'm excited to see what the scales are telling everyone this week - it sounds like we've had some great results so far!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Here's to another successful week

I want chocolate! Ice cream, preferably. Or gooey brownies. Aaaah! Angry the only thing stopping me from eating that stuff is how full my stomach feels. Even if I did eat chocolate I don't think I would manage much! Did someone say up thread that in boot camp light we could have dark chocolate?

My food today
B-leftover bolognese and cheese
L-salad with chicken and bacon on it, and fatty dressing
EM-leftover chicken thighs and asparagus in a really creamy and buttery sauce.
Snack- what snack? Lol
Plenty of water. I don't count but I keep a big water bottle at work and refill it many times a day.

yongnian · 26/05/2016 21:28

B: Greek yog clotted
L: grilled haloumi
D: salads nicoise
W: 2. Litres (not enough)
Busy day and ate out at Pizza Express so not bad considering.
Home tomorrow so will cook some good bc stuff.

PlayNice · 26/05/2016 21:58

Finally had a good day!

B: Turkish yogurt
L: egg salad
D: roasted vegetables

KP86 · 26/05/2016 22:04

Turned my food around a little today because I had a late sports game tonight and didn't want to eat a big meal beforehand.

B: piece of salmon, two eggs and cream scrambled, mushrooms and spinach
MT: black instant coffee
L: 200g chicken breast baked with coconut oil, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini with a huge dollop of Hellman's mayo
D (more like supper, it was at 9:30pm): bowl of Onken natural set yoghurt with some vanilla, and some chocolate ganache with 80% choc chips plus a pack of pork scratchings. The ganache and scratchings were partly to increase my fat intake for the day.

I've really enjoyed my day of switching things up, I didn't go looking for snacks at all (very unusual), and if I didn't have to prepare family dinner each night I could quite easily have a big breakfast/lunch and small supper every day. But I don't think I could sit watching DH eat his meal and have a simpler dish for myself. Plus it would be annoying to cook so often!

Not enough water, will be 1.2L by bed. Which is soon.

Xoticdreamz · 26/05/2016 22:06

Appetite not huge today
1 creamy coffee
Eggs and spinach
Sausages / avocado / asparagus salad with mayo ( weird but actually nice )
Not enough water as I should .
I was approved for a morgage today so have had a big smile on my face 😀
I have felt a bit more tired and weak today though .

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 26/05/2016 23:01

Congrats Xotic!

CiderwithBuda · 26/05/2016 23:27

For those of you feeling 'off' today - try a good multivit. I felt the same during the week and started taking a multivit and it def helped.

Good day here. Although my food plan from this morning changed completely!
B - ham and Philadelphia roll ups
L - leftover shepherds pie
S - two Babybels
D - BBQ - homemade burger with blue cheese, black farmer sausages, halloumi and salad

Was tempted by wine. It was such a lovely evening and BBQ always has wine. But I resisted! I knew I would be so pissed off at myself if I gave in.

As a treat later I had strawberries and cream. I know strawberries aren't allowed yet but given the week I had I decided on a treat. So I had two strawberries and some extra thick double cream. It was lovely and felt very decadent.

Gcalgske · 26/05/2016 23:51

Public service announcement

Aldi extra thick cream is an abomination. Blerch. Cannot be used in recipes as seperates and goes all greasy.
Tesco or morrisons is lush and good for cooking.

SoMuchToBits · 27/05/2016 07:21

Sainsbury's is fine too. Smile

lexloofah · 27/05/2016 07:43

Breakfast fit for a queen, and me: Buttery scramble, cold poached salmon, asparagus slathered in butter. I love asparagus, do any if you know if it is easy to grow?

Belated happy bday perfect

ClopySow · 27/05/2016 07:45

I've completely gone off breakfast again so just had coffee with cocunut oil for the last couple of days.

The good news is the scales are heading in the right direction again.

HumphreyCobblers · 27/05/2016 07:51

Asparagus is not hard to grow but you need to be patient as it takes at least two years to be able to harvest. You also need to be happy to dedicate a fair bit of space to it.

It is fab eaten fresh though, we are picking ours for the second year and it is great.

StrawberryLeaf · 27/05/2016 07:55

Lexloofah that breakfast looks lovely!

CathemeralChild · 27/05/2016 08:28

Breakfast at lexloofah's everyone!
You do have coffee as well, I hope?

regularbutpanickingabit · 27/05/2016 08:29

Morning!
On a train to a distant part of the world. Well, a 2 hour train journey away anyway. Cooked up lunch last night to bring with me and decided to try the cauli couscous from sains. Not completely convinced I have cooked it through properly but will see.
Went to Leon at the station for breakfast, having planned to get their avocado and egg pot but they had sold out. Eek! Found a ham hock, Gruyere and truffle replacement and just scoffed that. Very nice and very very low carb. Phew.

Not sure I will consume quite as much eater as I have been doing too now, too many hours on trains and in taxis and don't think I can find enough loos to cope with the bladder issues! Will make up for it tonight.

Thank you so much for all the picnic ideas. I bought tons of stuff yesterday and tonight I am making the IPD Thai fish cakes in miniature, breakfast muffins (have muffin cars but not a muffin tin. Hope that works), have planned meals so that we have leftovers from tonight for tomorrow night, sausages to cook up for Sunday and leftovers of chicken, roast veg and feta to take on Monday. Lots of roll ups and salad, avocado and mozzarella to fill in the gaps. Yum!

B - Leon ham, egg and cheese pot
L - chicken, mushrooms and spinach fried in butter with cream and cauli could cous
D - pork belly, broccoli and cauliflower cheese

My dh has been tucking in to the ice cream all week and I actually haven't even craved it. The kids have a tin filled with chocolate biscuits and delicious carb snacks. Not even crossed my mind to raid it, even when working from home. My head is in the right place for the first time in 8 years and that's down to you lot. Thank you!

bettyblueeyes83 · 27/05/2016 08:34

After two days working at home and adding in some low-carb snacks, I've gained a pound! After a really steep loss in the first week this now means I'm a pound up on this time last week, which is dispiriting. I feel like the magic had stopped working Sad and maybe I AM eating too much fat after all. I'm going to try and tune in more to my body today and eat when I'm genuinely hungry and the amount I'm hungry for, and no snacking...

Abracadabra12 · 27/05/2016 08:36

Morning campers!

Love the look of that breakfast @lexloofah

Food for today:
B egg muffin things - halloumi and fried onion in them this week, will try something different next
L meeting a friend at Granger & Co and menu shows they do a poached egg/ avocado/smoked salmon thing that looks BC-friendly
D not yet sure - only planned week out as far as Friday lunchtime. Maybe a bun-less burger?

trixymalixy · 27/05/2016 08:59

I had a sneaky step on the scales this morning and think I'm 2lbs down. DH has lost a stone which is really unfair!!

I had a good day yesterday despite being out for lunch and had a tennis match which meant baking cake.

B boiled eggs with butter
L mozzarella and Parma ham to start, chicken saltimbocca with courgette fried in butter instead of potatoes
D chicken Caesar salad without the croutons(while watching everyone else tuck into the choc Guinness cake I had made!!)

Iamdobby63 · 27/05/2016 09:04

bettyblueeyes83 Scales will fluctuate all the time, your 1lb gain is unlikely to be fat.

cousinsandra · 27/05/2016 09:06

Hello! Have been enjoying watching the thread and getting many handy hints. Tried BPC for the first time this week (just couldn't get my head round the idea of it on previous boot camp!) and am a convert! I've stuck to the rules for the fortnight but am weighing in today as going away for the weekend and then camping next week so won't be able to check in and want to see my loss in black and white!

Thanks for all the expert advice and motivation - I've lost 6lb in 2 weeks which is flipping remarkable!

Have a great BH weekend everyone - hopefully sunny so lots of LC BBQing!

WanHeda · 27/05/2016 09:08

betty I am a daily weigher and I can go up & down several times a week! Overall though, the trend is downwards, and I've lost 1 stone & 1 lb in 4 weeks, so the magic is still there :)

Wintersea · 27/05/2016 09:11

Not that I'm an expert bettyblue but scales do go up and down a bit like that so ignore them! Keep on, judge how well yr clothes are fitting, and am sure you'd start losing again.
Weight loss stalls too after initial loss (which is often mainly water/glucose) in any diet, so I know the key thing is to keep going as we'll still be burning fat. And I'm saying this as someone who has given up in the past on different diets - really want to stay the course this boot camp and will be relying on all you lovely low carbers to keep me going when I falter - as i probably will at some point.
Have a good day all!
Today poss:
coffee cream, eggs
Chicken salad
Pork stir fry

Pengweng · 27/05/2016 09:18

Breakfast this morning was broccoli and 3 Heck chicken sausages (1.5gs carbs per 100gs, which is about 3 sausages). the broc had been cooked underneath my chicken thighs last night so was all chickeney and oily mmmmmmmmmm.

For lunch i will be jumping on the halloumi (sp?) bandwagon with salad.

Dinner is marinated steak with swede chips (delicious cooked in beef fat) and some salad.

Whistle73 · 27/05/2016 09:27

After failing miserably last weekend because I was away I'm now dreading this weekend because I'm also away! Working at a festival. I'm taking eggs and bacon with me so I can have a decent breakfast but will be at the mercy of festival food for lunch and possibly dinner too. At least it's a 'posh' festival so the food will be nice (last year I had lobster!)

Have lost the weight I put on last weekend plus another pound so hopefully will be OK.

Have a good day all!

LaserShark · 27/05/2016 09:34

Had a multivit this morning as adviser upthread. It's the first day of half term so made the children pancakes with chocolate sauce for breakfast and didn't feel at all interested in them myself. Haven't decided what to have for breakfast yet, I don't really fancy bacon and eggs which is what I planned.

I hopped on the scales this morning, have only been on bc since Monday but have dropped 4lbs already and broken a stone barrier - not saying which one as it is considerably more than the 10 stone barrier mentioned upthread! But I'm very pleased with how well it's going and I'm marvelling that it's actually working considering I switched from a VLCD to this and my calorie intake must have doubled but my weight loss hasn't slowed in the slightest.
