Morning all! I'm excited to see what the scales are telling everyone this week - it sounds like we've had some great results so far!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Here's to another successful week

Right, today's food:-

First thing, 3 cups tea with double cream (am really not awake until I've had my 3 cups of tea).

Breakfast - omelette with 3 eggs, 2 mushrooms and a small tomato, cooked in butter.
Lunch - salad of tuna (in oil), boiled egg, cucumber, spinach leaves, raw mushroom, small tomato, mayonnaise.
Snack - pate and slices of cucumber
Dinner - baked chicken thighs (skin on) with aubergine, courgette and red pepper, garlic, herbs and olive oil, served with broccoli with butter.

2l water, but am going to try to drink a bit more before bed. Another cup tea with cream.

monkeyfacegrace · 24/05/2016 21:30

Its official, Im a water fiend.

I went to the shops and bought 6 x 750ml bottles of water.

Id drunk 2 before I even got home!

But Im so premenstrual and miserable and hungry. Luckily I have cheese and scratchings and bacon to keep me sane. And Ive just had a bowl of lightly whipped double cream to really push me over the edge of indulgence.

Mookbark · 24/05/2016 21:35

lex I meant to post before about how impressed I am with your weight loss. I started at a similar weight and would love to get nearish to where you are now.

BIWI · 24/05/2016 21:45

seasidesally I only ever bother to weigh at home - so I can do it first thing in the morning, naked, after I've been to the loo!

If you're weighing at Boots, you'll be weighing your clothes as well as everything you've eaten and drunk up to that point in time.

Far better to use scales at home. I think mine are Salter ones - can't remember now! - but I bought ones that would work on a carpeted surface

Hello all

Much better today in terms of energy. Could be due to drinking more water following advice from BIWI!

B: Mushrooms cooked in butter
L: Scrambled eggs cooked in butter
D: salmon in butter and vegetables

Those that have lost stones on low carbing - has this just become the way you eat now? I need to really lose at several stone and wonder if I can keep this going to reach my goal weight.

lexloofah · 24/05/2016 21:45

mook, thanks, it is the equivalent of my 5yo which is not something to be proud of really. Slow and steady wins the day, I have never had a whoosh and sometimes it felt like I wasn't getting anywhere but looking back of course I was. Whilst I am still impatient I need to remember there is no need to rush, it's not like much about my eating will change once I am at goal

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/05/2016 21:45

I made a cauliflower pizza crust for dinner, topped with the left over salami/pepperoni and some olives, baby spinach and mozzarella, it was surprisingly tasty! Cauliflower is proving to be a champion on this woe.

I'm also in love with my spiralizer, I won't eat salads without it now, although apart from cucumber, carrot ( not too much!) and courgette, I'm not sure what else to put through it. Any ideas?

I'm going shopping tomorrow, I will buy pork scratchings. Smile

Statelychangers · 24/05/2016 21:49

Grin No worries Lex I agree - eating too many gives me a sick feeling too!

reader77 · 24/05/2016 21:58

Hello all. Just checking in.

B/L - scrambled egg with tinned mackerel

D- mince with cauliflower- cabbage hash

S-small bowl mince with cheese

yongnian · 24/05/2016 22:14

Checking in...
B: Greek yog, clotted, coconut oil
L: grilled haloumi
D: crust less quiche with rocket, cucumber, radishes, coleslaw and mayo and olive oil
W: 2 - 2.5 litres

SayrraT · 24/05/2016 22:18

Sorry just on quickly but wanted to say monkey I just looked at your weight on the spreadsheet and that's the weight I'd love to be. Everyone on bc has their own reasons for wanting to lose weight whether it's 6lb or 6 stone.

BIWI · 24/05/2016 22:22

Indiana - yes, I pretty much eat like this all the time, even when I'm not trying to lose weight. It's just become a habit.

Every now and then I might have some potato, or the odd slice of bread/toast. Very occasionally I will choose a sandwich for lunch (as opposed to having to have one because there are no alternatives!), and very, very occasionally I have some pasta.

But in the main, I'm just used to eating this way.

Re pork scratchings, I really don't like any of the brands I've tried - much prefer home-made ones

seasidesally asking about scales. Mine are Tanita. Do lots of fancy things like store multiple people's details and tell you your fat percentage which I don't really use but I've had them for years and they're very reliable and consistent. I weigh daily and know exactly how things are going

Today's answer is not well. Red wine is to blame. Just had a very lovely fillet steak and green beans plus 5 sweet potato fries Shouldn't have had the fries or the wine.

An abstemious few days ahead.

PlayNice · 24/05/2016 23:50

Bad day today :(. Made a cake and too many 'tastings' of the mixture/frosting/praline layer occurred.

OneMoreForExtra · 25/05/2016 00:00

Oh no, another vibrant entertaining fast-paced thread...

Hope the poorly poster (StillLoving? this morning was pages ago so I can't check!) is feeling better.

My re-booted week 1 is still going well, even though I had to scavenge supper from Kings Cross at 10pm after an event. Didn't cane it with the water as well due to rushing around, so will step up even more tomorrow.

B: omelette, BPC
L: avocado, chicken thigh, celery, Philly and olive oil
S: babybell
D: Leon grilled chicken pot dipped in a pot of Waitrose crème fraiche on the train - yum!

Thanks for posting the handful of fat, BIWI - strangely comforting!

CiderwithBuda · 25/05/2016 00:30

I can't quite believe I've stuck to proper Bootcamp rules - esp the no alcohol one! - for 9 days now! I always end up having wine. Feeling chuffed.

It's a bit of a stressful time here too as I'm starting radiotherapy tomorrow and am also stressed abut DS who is having daily migraines and has missed over two weeks of school. Back to GP tomorrow for a referral to a specialist. I would normally be self medicating with wine and carbs. And feeling out of control.

This Bootcamp came at the perfect time - thanks Biwi et al.

Anyway. Food today

B - egg mayo and two teas with milk
Coffee with cream
L - salad leaves, four cherry toms, a spring onion, cheese, ham, egg mayo and mayo dressing
D meatballs, a veg medley thing from Sainsburys and a small spoonful of a tomato sauce
S slice of ham

Didn't do too bad on the water but I need to measure my intake better.

Myothercarisalsoshit · 25/05/2016 00:43

5lb weight loss in the first week so am fairly thrilled! I did LC for 3 months last summer and was worried that it wouldn't work this time but it seems that I have left long enough in between for it not to be a problem. After the first couple of days I have not felt hungry at all and have had to force myself to eat. I am also struggling to drink enough water so I'm going to have to start forcing myself.
Today's menu:
B - Celery sticks and full fat cream cheese, creamy coffee
L - Ham & egg salad with mayo
T - Chicken stew with spinach fried in butter
Have also had a bit of cheese as a snack.
I have also joined the gym. My instructor said that starting exercise makes you gain 3lb! Does anyone know if this is true? Don't suppose it really matters as I am feeling much better anyway.

MothershipG · 25/05/2016 05:59

Myother I am also struggling with drinking enough water and I have got myself a 1l water bottle with an infuser section which I find helps a lot as at least the water tastes of something. Grapefruit is my favourite.

stilllovingmysleep · 25/05/2016 06:02

CiderBudda good luck with your radiotherapy. Thinking about you. And your DS's migraines. Amazing that you're managing Bootcamp in this context. Maybe that's the point though. To have something positive and well structured at a hard time

MontserratCaballe · 25/05/2016 06:27

Good luck today, Cider. Plan a nice LC treat for yourself for afterwards. Sorry to hear about your DS, too. Hope he gets sorted soon Flowers.

Mothership, if you are struggling with the water, many people recommend that a sports bottle makes it easier. I find having big glasses is easier than small ones to get it down as well. Just a pint glass on my desk at work from which I keep sipping. Grapefruit water sounds lovely - can also recommend cucumber, esp when it's very hot.

Out for breakfast this morning. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Hold the toast. No one will know. Amazing.

Have a good day everyone Smile

BIWI · 25/05/2016 06:54

Thinking of you, Cider.

And bloody well done on the no wine! You're a better man than me. Grin

margaritasbythesea · 25/05/2016 07:22

Buda - Flowers I hope you have a good day and get the support you need for you and your son.

Minimim · 25/05/2016 07:23

Only just managed to get to the scales after being away with work, but am now 153lb so a 3lb loss Smile - pretty happy with that considering I had a major slip up on Saturday (big work celebration dinner involving wine and other bad things - determined to stick to the plan from now on!!)

Statelychangers · 25/05/2016 07:35

Good luck tomorrow Cider with the treatment and your visit to the GP. Sounds like stressful times.

Well after reporting on Monday with no weight loss (I'm on week 6) but feeling I'd lost inches, I weighed in this morning and I'm 3lbs down - Grin
