Morning all! I'm excited to see what the scales are telling everyone this week - it sounds like we've had some great results so far!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Here's to another successful week

Nah, i'll just leave it as it is. I know all bets are off when you're pre menstrual. And it'll be a harsh reminder about what the wine and sambucca can do.

It just makes no sense to me that i can lose so many inches but no weight. The scales i was weighed on initially were at the drs. I can't believe they'd be 10lbs out.

Saying that though, i did read in 'pig to twig' that some people lose inches before weight starts dropping.

Patterkiller · 24/05/2016 19:25

Oh bugger. I've just had a lidl mini choc caramel. Sad

Eva50 · 24/05/2016 19:35

Good evening. I'm a bit tired and slightly grumpy but it's been a lovely sunny day here which makes things easier.

B FF yogurt and buttered spinach
L blue cheese and pate salad
D chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce with buttered cauliflower

I'm not needing snacks. I'm barely even hungry for meals.

Wintersea · 24/05/2016 19:40

Oy patterkiller BIWI will be along with her big stick...
You'll be ok. Just don't do what I usually would- think I've blown it now, may as well have another and another and yes, a glass of wine and some crisps please...

I ate the rest of my coconut yoghurt tub -zillions if fag and calories so must be really really on it tonight tomorrow or the fat/carb combo cd be an issue...

Wintersea · 24/05/2016 19:41

If fag?
Sh read
Of fat

Patterkiller · 24/05/2016 19:57

Grin

But why did you do that, Patter? Did someone hold a gun to your head and make you do it?

The brand 'Caulirice' is 3g carbs per 100g and there are 200g in a packet

But it's just as easy to make your own!

Take off outer leaves of cauliflower
Break into florets
Put into food processor with the normal blade, pulse it, so that all the florets come into contact with the blade, and continue to process it until it's the right size/consistency for you.

Personally I'd say it's more like couscous than rice.

Just logging food. Horrible pmt binge but all low carb

B coyo, chai tea w coconut oil and cream
L corned beef cucumber pork scratchings
T chicken with chorizo, mushrooms and mozzarella

S half a ton of parmisan crisps. Pork scratchings prawns and cucumber

Not enough water

Patterkiller · 24/05/2016 20:25

Oh bugger spotted before I ducked out of sight

No gun involved. Just horrible period cravings. Actually compared to the amount of carbs I would usually consume this week I'm not beating myself up about it. Back on it tomorrow.

ClopySow · 24/05/2016 20:50

Speaking of pmt...

My cycle has annoyingly been 23 days since november. Since starting the lchf, my last cycle was 24 days and this one is at 25 and still no period.

I'm really hoping that is a positive side effect of this way of eating.

seasidesally · 24/05/2016 20:53

im reading this thread with interest im not on BC but have been LCHF for nearly 3 mths with a loss of 29lbs so far which leads me to my ??

i have scales at home which i jump on most days but dont really take them as law as they given non accurate readings but find it much more accurate to use the ones in Boots The Chemist weekly and take that as my weight

so do you log your weight from home scales and if you rate them what make are they??

ReggaeShark · 24/05/2016 20:59

How do you cook the cauli rice?

readyforno2 · 24/05/2016 21:01

Omg. I can't keep up. I must make a point of reading through/adding to the thread more frequently.

Food over the last two days..

Monday
B mushrooms fried in butter
L cauliflower cheese
D gammon with egg and loads of salad
cheese board minus the crackers

Today
B coffee with cream -slept in.
L chicken wrapped in bacon with cheese and salad
D pork loin with mashed turnip

DoingItForMyselfAtLast · 24/05/2016 21:02

Pork scratchings... I have a question. Bought a packet (Mr. porky I think) and they were utterly rank. Soft, greasy, slightly stale tasting, not at all salty - is this it?! Was looking forward to them, as I'd seen so many of you listing them as your snacks. I thought they'd be really crispy. Do I persevere with a new brand?

LaserShark · 24/05/2016 21:05

B - leftover protein shake from my previous diet, really had to force it down. I have always woken up hungry and never in my life contemplated leaving the house without breakfast but I could have done so happily this morning! Might not bother finishing these shakes as I'd much rather have proper low carb food. They're just very convenient!

L - tuna salad

S - mini pepper stuffed with cream cheese

D - lamb burger with buttered leeks and courgette followed by some Greek yoghurt.

Drunk approx 3l water, a creamy coffee and two black coffees.

Mookbark · 24/05/2016 21:05

Reggae I put it in a microwavable container and microwave for 10 minutes. Doesn't need any water. Or you can fry it, if you want to do a stir fry type thing, or fry with eggs for egg fried rice.
Ended up having salmon with pesto and Parmesan topping with a ginormous salad and avocado fried with garlic and then a touch of lemon juice. Another yummy meal. Grin

Mookbark · 24/05/2016 21:10

Doing I'm not a great fan, but the M&S ones aren't too bad - others have recommended them.

Mookbark · 24/05/2016 21:11

Sorry for double post!

Statelychangers · 24/05/2016 21:17

I like the Awfully Posh Pork crackling - no artificial rubbish in them either.

Was very active today 25,000 steps on my fitbit - including a bootcamp in the park - no loss of energy either. I do need to drink more water though.
Food today
Brunch - Big ass steak salad
Dinner - Asparagus wrapped in parma ham with 2 fried eggs
Lemon & Ginger Tea and liquorice & peppermint tea.
Snack - small handful cherry tomatoes.
Going to bed early as part of this health kick is to get a good night's sleep - people who sleep less, eat more!

Iamdobby63 · 24/05/2016 21:20

Pork scratchings any brand shouldn't be soft, think they were off.

lexloofah · 24/05/2016 21:22

doing, I prefer home made crackling to scratchings but I know that is not particularly useful when you need a snack away from home. Once the first few weeks are over you won't need to snack anyway. I had some yesterday as was feeling hungry about 4pm but really wish I hadn't as then felt sick which took care of the being hungry sensation- urgh. they were the 'awfully posh' ones so avoid those

Had a lovely dinner of chicken fricasse after being inspired by a recipe in the weekend paper. I don't know makes it a fricassee but frick me it has a lot of lovely fat in it: coconut oil, butter, double cream and crème fraiche. Was very tasty and filling, had with steamed cauli and spring greens in butter.

lexloofah · 24/05/2016 21:26

stately, just seen your post, mine was not meant to criticise your scratching recommendation, sorry if it reads like that, I agree they are the least worst additive wise but just not to my taste, I think I would rather eat butter, hmm might try that tomorrow with marmite on
