Welcome everyone!

We have around 130 people signed up this time, so it's going to be a busy and fast-moving thread.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to enter your weight.

The lovely Sayrra manages the spreadsheet. Please don't mess with it! Just enter your weight and leave all the other columns/rows alone!

I'll start a questions thread to run along side this chat thread, so that you can post stuff there in the knowledge that your question will definitely be seen. (I can't promise to get to your questions immediately, but I will read and answer them)

And please, please, please - no matter how fast-moving the thread is, please read the whole thing and don't just post your own thing. You'll miss a lot of valuable stuff that way, and it also presumes that I (and other posters) are happy to keep repeating stuff.

But above all, very good luck everyone!

I'm afraid I haven't been doing this perfectly, although I have had some signs of ketosis like achiness, bad taste in my mouth, thirst/urination, and lack of appetite. I know have had some foods I shouldn't though. I'm getting better as I go along. Should I do this intense phase for longer, like say an extra week, or should I just go along with everyone else?

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 20/05/2016 12:28

Also what ratios of macronutrients are we looking for? Is it 75% fat?

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 20/05/2016 12:33

Oh and you can add to list I've had an unexpected period and I've lost some weight.

Sorry, I'd edit my posts instead if I could.

HumphreyCobblers · 20/05/2016 12:45

I am really looking forward to the scales saying 9 something!

Cooking in the cobbler household is quite complicated at the moment, DH has just started an incredibly restrictive diet due to intolerance testing, he is on no wheat, no dairy (same as me so far except butter) no beef, no sunflower oil, no eggs (this is the killer). No butter is the worst, as I would add butter to all veg normally. Thank goodness you can get microwavable rice now, he can have that. Typically he has lost 9 lbs in three weeks Envy

CiderwithBuda · 20/05/2016 12:59

SociallyAcceptable - it's up to you. Lots of people continue the intense phase longer than the two weeks. Some people switch to Bootcamp Lite. Some people do Bootcamp during the week and Bootcamp Lite at the weekends. I'm sticking to Bootcamp for a few more weeks for sure as I have a lot to lose.

It also kind of depends on what food you have had that you shouldn't. If you've had a lot of carbs or sugary stuff you might be better to start again properly - that can be today! - and see how you go. You could look at these last few days as a trial of Bootcamp or a gentle lead in. Some people gradually reduce certain foods etc leading into Bootcamp proper.

Up to you.

CiderwithBuda · 20/05/2016 13:00

Oh and if you have accidentally eaten something you shouldn't because you just didn't know maybe have a good read of the rules in Biwi's original post or on the spreadsheet.

reader77 · 20/05/2016 13:02

Fried halloumi...whoever mentioned this thank you! Delicious lunch.

anniebambammie · 20/05/2016 13:12

I'm in Oz so operating on a different time zone to most!
Today:
B mushrooms and bacon in cream with spinach leaves & coffee
L mushrooms, cabbage, zucchini in cream
D slow cooked lamb with cauli rice and green beans
Snacks- celery, babybel

Dinner was so good! It's freezing over here so nothing better than a big bowl of slow cooked lamb and some cauli rice to soak up all the juices!

I'm thinking of making some kind of hash with the leftover cauli rice, eg whisking an egg and stirring it through to make a little buttery fried patty, fried egg on top ... Has anyone done this? Not sure if it will hold its shape but sounds like a delicious idea in my head!

WanHeda · 20/05/2016 13:14

Another one with a tricky weekend! Going out all day tomorrow, going by train, with a big group of friends. They are all taking nibbles & drinks for the journey, and it will involve at least 2 meals out with cocktails - argh!

poorbuthappy · 20/05/2016 13:27

How goaty is halloumi?
I get on with most cheese apart from goats!

BIWI · 20/05/2016 13:34

Have just enjoyed a lovely lunch - salmon fillet cooked in the microwave with butter and lemon, with asparagus (also cooked in the microwave with butter and lemon).

Thanks cider I have so much to lose that I don't mind continuing for longer.

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 20/05/2016 13:42

Also, is boot camp lite not the next stage? Where do I find the next stage? Is it on the spreadsheet and I haven't seen it?

CiderwithBuda · 20/05/2016 13:59

Yes Bootcamp lite is th next stage. I assumed that's what you meant.

I have lots to lose too. Am hoping to lose as much as possible by 12 July which is when we go on holiday.

Whistle73 · 20/05/2016 14:02

Poor - halloumi isn't goaty at all, its just very salty tasting, and can be a bit squeaky to eat depending how you cook it.

Socially - the BC lite rules are on another page of the spreadsheet

WanHeda · 20/05/2016 14:08

Crayfish in mayo on lettuce wraps. The food on this woe is amazing!

L: Chicken breast, avocado and salad
D: Not sure yet. Pork belly and veggies fried in butter?

WanHeda · 20/05/2016 14:16

BIWI your lunch sounds lovely too!

Whistle73 · 20/05/2016 14:26

I had cold poached salmon in lemon and parsley from Asda, yummy! With lashings of mayo.

Bought my first courgetti too for bolognese tonight.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 20/05/2016 14:29

Just had a lovely chicken (meat from thighs for extra fat content), mayo and haloumi salad. What's really struck me so far is how much more veg and salad I'm eating. It feels very healthy despite all the mayo and cheese!

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 20/05/2016 14:54

Ok thanks cider. I misinterpreted your post and got confused. I did think bc light was next.

poorbuthappy · 20/05/2016 14:54

Cheers Whistle73

updates shopping list

Statelychangers · 20/05/2016 15:11

Brunch today - cauliflower and leek topped shepherds pie with watercress and green onion.
Dinner roast chicken with chipotle coleslaw

Weekend will involve drinking - will try very hard to keep it to a min. Have offered to drive to lunch on Sunday so I won't be tempted to have a glass.

wombattoo · 20/05/2016 15:31

Hello everyone. It's great to see we are mostly managing.
Can I point out to any one new to lc that your tolerance for alcohol will be much lower I learnt this to my cost
You all know we shouldn't be having alcohol but if you must, then vodka and soda is very low carb. Sorry BIWI

margaritas I hope you are feeling better Thanks
ready thanks for the recipe. I don't like 5 spice but it will be fine without
Wan Well done. That's a great loss
blacktea The thread always move fast for the first week or two of bc but then slow down
Socially I don't really move to bc lite. I stay this way, but may have a bit of 85% green and blacks choc.
poor I detest goat's cheese but hallumi is lovely and nothing like it

B: tuna mayo and 2 exploded babybels
L: Chicken/courgette curry
D: Will be cheese omelette

Victrix · 20/05/2016 15:41

I'm now at least 60% chicken thigh and it is brilliant
