Welcome everyone!

We have around 130 people signed up this time, so it's going to be a busy and fast-moving thread.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to enter your weight.

The lovely Sayrra manages the spreadsheet. Please don't mess with it! Just enter your weight and leave all the other columns/rows alone!

I'll start a questions thread to run along side this chat thread, so that you can post stuff there in the knowledge that your question will definitely be seen. (I can't promise to get to your questions immediately, but I will read and answer them)

And please, please, please - no matter how fast-moving the thread is, please read the whole thing and don't just post your own thing. You'll miss a lot of valuable stuff that way, and it also presumes that I (and other posters) are happy to keep repeating stuff.

But above all, very good luck everyone!

Clopy it's on MFP app . I know I shouldn't BIWI but it's a habit that I have had for a year or so . It would actually be nicer nit to do it !
I will try and wean myself off 😀

Pisseslikeahorse · 19/05/2016 20:37

been in a foul mood all day, loading butter cheese and marmite to up salt and fat (yes salt on top).
But I'm sure I'm falling short on intake thats effecting me greatly, mood swings etc.... so will try to get more in, DW said that I was the same last time i did bootcamp and wants me to carry the pig snacks.

today
B: butter cheese etc coffee black
L: bacon eggs cauliflower mayo
D: curry goat and a bit of nan bread

ClopySow · 19/05/2016 20:48

I have a confession. I found an app and checked.

I am indeed on track. I won't do it again. Definitely.

tinybellows · 19/05/2016 20:50

I've fallen off the wagon a bit tonight after a long miserable day indoors potty training dd.

I've had crisps. On the plus side they tasted horrible so I won't again. But I'm so cross with myself. Have I undone all my hard work? Sad

Back on it tomorrow. Sigh.

reader77 · 19/05/2016 20:52

Had a stressful day and the after eights in the fridge are calling me...

I had steak for dinner, made a creamy mushroom sauce to go on top. With broccoli and courgettes.

I'm not hungry at all but this would be the time I would nibble on sweet things for comfort/relaxation.

BC has made me aware of my habits if nothing else!

BIWI · 19/05/2016 21:31

Yes, tiny, you have, I'm afraid Sad

Be super strict and drink lots of water. Hopefully you'll be fine!

But this isn't a very forgiving way of eating, and cheats really won't help you. Especially in these first two weeks. Sorry to have to tell you that.

stilllovingmysleep · 19/05/2016 21:33

tinybellows, good luck with getting back on track again! Hopefully in 2-3 days this will be behind you.

yongnian · 19/05/2016 21:36

Started eating again after 3 days of not over facing my poor stomach (bug)

B: lidl Turk yog, clotted cream + small amount whole earth peanut butter (breastfeeding so bc lite)
L: butter + a few cocktail sausages
Snack: half avacado
D: chicken korma cooked in ghee with extra coconut oil + rocket.
W: 2 litres (not enough)
Will be building the greens back in tomorrow, just taking it easy with fibrous veg til stomach fully settled.

I generally always have this WOE now since starting low carbing 18mths or so ago. (Apart from when I disastrously fall off and do half LC WOE and add in loads of crap. Don't be like me.)
But I've just twigged my protein intake is probably a bit too high and so prob inhibiting losses beyond a certain point.
BIWI stuntnun whenever you are able to in this busy thread, could you tell me what i should be aiming for protein wise please?

tinybellows · 19/05/2016 21:40

Thanks BIWI and still

I don't think I'll have a problem getting back on track. Just a bit cross about the setback. Onwards and downwards

Veryflummoxed · 19/05/2016 21:44

Good evening all.

B. Fage ff yogurt

Coffee and cream.

L (left over) pork curry. Green leaves with oil and vinegar. Side of Radishes with salt and butter. (This was yum so thanks to original poster)

Dinner. Prawns fried in butter. On bed of dressed (oil and vinegar) leaves. Cucumber avacado and mayonnaise.

Just under three litres of water today. Bit of a fail but I had extra mint tea so hope that works. Black tea. (I got a bit fed up of sloshing)

I also weighed this am. I think i'm down three pounds however I'm another one with very dodgy scales. However I feel loads less achy in the joints and I'm sleeping well and the headaches ( I started LC a few days before b c )seem to have gone and food is delicious.

MothershipG · 19/05/2016 21:45

Has anyone got one of the smaller spiralizers, like this, I don't have room to store one of the bigger ones.

readyforno2 · 19/05/2016 21:55

Wombat
I don't know if I do it right, but it's delicious.

Whole head of cauliflower blitzed in food processor and chucked in the micro for about 6-7 mins with a splash of water.

Fry (in butter) chicken, shallots and bacon till cooked with a wee touch of Chinese 5 spice
Add any lc veg you have, we had baby corn, tender stem broccoli and green pepper with a splash of soy sauce and a load of salt.
Chuck in the cauliflower and mix around with more butter then whisk two eggs (I usually do one egg per person) and pour it over.
Good mix around to cook the egg and another wee sprinkle of 5 spice and that's it!

It's proper comfort food for me, careful with the 5 spice though I'm sure it's quite high in carbs, I use less than a teaspoon for dh and I so I tell myself it's ok.

BIWI am I kidding myself?

readyforno2 · 19/05/2016 21:56

Should have said, this fed dh and I with some leftover for tomorrow's lunch.

FarelyKnuts · 19/05/2016 21:59

Evening all.
Today was
B: Baked avocado with eggs
L: Chicken and avocado salad with ceaser dressing
D: Taco spiced mince with lettuce, cheese and sour cream
5L of water

BIWI · 19/05/2016 22:05

Sounds fab, ready!

yongnian - glad you're feeling better. Your food looks fine to me - why do you think your protein is too high?

OP posts:
stilllovingmysleep · 19/05/2016 22:05

Another good day for me too. Well done to all of us for making it to day 4 with no major casualties!

B: just some goats cheese / black coffee / then at work mozzarella & olives
L: M&S marinated calamari (great for LC; no added sugar or preservatives) with green salad & oil/lemon
D: 2 eggs scrambled in butter w. cream / leftover swede mash from yesterday / green salad with feta cheese

Drank loads of water and generally feel great.

DietChic · 19/05/2016 22:09

No booze today - so hard to socialise without it I was quite concerned for myself!
B: mackerel, poached eggs and buttered spinach
L: chicken, baby spinach, cucumber, green beans, Avocado, chilli, raw broccoli and full fat caesar dressing
Dinner: 4 baked chicken thighs.

I know I'm not hungry but could have snatched the red wine out of my friend's hand!

IndianaJone · 19/05/2016 22:12

Feeling much better today too. Still a bit tired but starting to feel perkier. Missed lunch today and after catching up with this thread I see that's a no-no. Also suspect in going protein heavy. Finding it difficult to see how I would add fat so that there's more fat then protein.

B: 3 eggs fried in butter with cheese and tomato.
L: Missed
D: 2 pieces of pollack fillets, lightly fried and spiced courgettes, aubergines, peppers and peas. Some coleslaw on side.

2.5 litres of water.

BIWI · 19/05/2016 22:38

Indiana - have you read Bootcamp rules? peas are definitely out! And did you check the carb count of the coleslaw? It can be really carby.

bettyblueeyes83 · 19/05/2016 23:01

So busy at work so hard to find time to keep up with thread. But LC really helping with this - just not hungry even when I didn't get time for lunch until 5pm! And seem to have lost 5lbs as of this morning, although half of that probably gained over previous weekend...

Breakfast: scrambled eggs with cream
Lunch: left over Diet Doctor low carb pizza
Dinner: Diet Doctor garlic chicken with creamy cheesy leeks
No snacks except Americano with cream and two cups of tea with whole milk

IndianaJone · 19/05/2016 23:04

Oh no! I did read the rules but obviously not thoroughly enough as somehow missed the peas bit. There was about a tablespoon worth. Thanks BIWI. Will check carb on coleslaw too.

Wasn't going to post daily food but so glad I did now!

Gcalgske · 19/05/2016 23:04

OneMoreForExtra I'm happy to share but don't want to confuse anyone with chat of things that don't effect most. Can PM me if you like?
I'm PCOS with very severe insulin resistance.

LadyAntonella · 19/05/2016 23:22

Evening all!

Today was ok:

B: total yoghurt, 7 X small strawberries, 2 X tsps flax seed and an avocado

L: fried chicken breast and butternut squash soup

D: squid with tomato, fillet steak, peppercorn sauce, courgette and salad

Gcalgske · 20/05/2016 00:16

ladyantonella fruit? You'll end up with the big stick Grin
indianajone to get fat higher than protein start with fattier cuts of meat:
Chicken thigh, duck, pork belly, well marbled steak etc that way you already start well.
Then add fat. Cook in butter and olive oil or coconut oil. Make bernaise or hollandaise (quick blender versions are super quick and yummy) or just use melted butter with garlic/ chilli etc.

Try making coleslaw - shredded cabbage, shallot, celeriac is yummy. My go to dressing is normally mayonnaise, grainy mustard, lemon juice, double cream and a glug of olive oil.

make tasty compound butters and use them on everything (I'm currently in love with Parmesan / smoked salt butter)

HumphreyCobblers · 20/05/2016 05:32

Morning all. I have been up for an hour

Had a great day yesterday, now I am eating enough fat I am back in the place where I don't think about food unless it is time for a meal. This is so different from other kinds of dieting.
