Welcome everyone!

We have around 130 people signed up this time, so it's going to be a busy and fast-moving thread.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to enter your weight.

The lovely Sayrra manages the spreadsheet. Please don't mess with it! Just enter your weight and leave all the other columns/rows alone!

I'll start a questions thread to run along side this chat thread, so that you can post stuff there in the knowledge that your question will definitely be seen. (I can't promise to get to your questions immediately, but I will read and answer them)

And please, please, please - no matter how fast-moving the thread is, please read the whole thing and don't just post your own thing. You'll miss a lot of valuable stuff that way, and it also presumes that I (and other posters) are happy to keep repeating stuff.

But above all, very good luck everyone!

Sounds like everyone's doing really well. My inner rebel's out in force demanding all sorts of nonsense but having a much better breakfast and lunch today means I've fought it off more successfully. Yesterday I was rushing around living off coffee with cream cheese and boiled eggs with salt. Today I've had an omelette for breakfast (thanks DH) and roast ham and buttered cabbage (thanks local Italian cafe) so much fuller and happier. Not enough water so will dose up when I get home.

ClopySow · 19/05/2016 18:28

My inner rebel is shouting "WINE! WINE!" and "FAGS, SMOKE FAGS"

I quit smoking at the end of march, did well until last week when i cracked and smoked like a trooper and drank loads of wine. Back on the wagon this week, but i'm craving.

OneMoreForExtra · 19/05/2016 18:28

Gcal I'd be interested to know more about your metabolic and insulin stuff, if you don't mind sharing. This is my 3rd (or possibly 4th) boot camp and I've spent most of them in a furious stall (name changed - I was Mojangled). despite that , LC has been my default woe for 2 years, because skin, energy, etc improve a lot this way. I'm running at a stone less than when I started, but never get below that consistently. I'm in denial about needing to cut out dairy, but will come round to it soon, but various other things make me suspect a metabolism thingy going on too.

stilllovingmysleep · 19/05/2016 18:35

My inner rebel craves pasta and also apple crumble with custard (for some reason).

I will shut up now Grin.

Instead I'll ask here tooI already asked at the questions threadwhether you know of any good gadget for 'courgetti' (which I still can't picture!) Preferably on Amazon so I can use my prime. If I can't have spaghetti, I'll have courgetti damn it!

monkeyfacegrace · 19/05/2016 18:36

What's the consensus on this:

Layered whole large aubergine, tin of chopped toms, handful of spinach, broccoli florets, topped with grated cheese and oven baked. Topped with a chicken breast and ricotta. Drizzle of olive oil and nob of butter.

Yey or nay?

BIWI · 19/05/2016 18:37

You need a Spiralizer - Lakeland sell them. Or Sainsburys sell ready made courgetti

OP posts:
BIWI · 19/05/2016 18:38

Monkeyface - if you fry all the different elements first in olive oil, not only will it taste much better but you'll also get the fat content higher

OP posts:
stilllovingmysleep · 19/05/2016 18:38

Thanks BIWI!

BIWI · 19/05/2016 18:39

... And forget the nonsense about a drizzle of oil! You need a bloody big glug!

(sliced aubergine I presume you meant, not whole ones?)

stilllovingmysleep · 19/05/2016 18:41

Went on Amazon, there are loads of spiralizers. Which one actually does the work properly (=that is, will be able to deal with my pasta craving?)

WanHeda · 19/05/2016 18:51

I actually just bought a julienne peeler, was only about £2 and does the same thing as a spiralizer with less washing up Grin

Evening all. I'd forgotten how fast this thread moves. Has taken me ages to catch up.

Didn't check in yesterday but food was
B - Greek yoghurt w strawberries (using them up)
L - big plate of salad with chicken, some chopped pepper, a few cherry tomatoes, avocado, stuffed peppadew peppers and a dressing made from Delouis mayo and olive oil
S - two Babybels
D - courgetti with bolognaise and Parmesan
S - Brie and olives

Today
B Greek yoghurt and strawberries again (all gone now)
L - bolognaise with grated cheese
S - sliced ham (then realized after I'd eaten it it was breaded ham!)
D - salad with chicken, avocado, bacon and some cherry tomatoes with diluted mayo dressing
Will have Brie and olives later if I am hungry

I think I have been too dairy heavy with th Greek yoghurt so will be giving that up for a bit. I don't do well with dairy - can't drink lattes as they make me feel sick and have hardly any milk in tea. Although I love cheese. So I think I will limit myself to max three teas a day and no yoghurt for a bit. Cream for cooking only if I need it and will try limit cheese. I did Atkins years ago and he didn't recommend yoghurt but cheese was ok in moderation.

Sneaky weigh in and think I'm down 2 lbs.

CiderwithBuda · 19/05/2016 19:08

Stillloving - I'm on iPad so can't link easily but if you google spiraliser Amazon I think the top one is similar to mine and I noticed eBay do the same. It works like a pencil sharpener so is really easy and it just pops in the top of the dishwasher.

stilllovingmysleep · 19/05/2016 19:24

Thanks Cider. I imagine it's the one that costs 35£? Would my food processor be able to do the same thing I wonder?

CiderwithBuda · 19/05/2016 19:28

No! It was £13 or so.

CiderwithBuda · 19/05/2016 19:36

There's some for £9.99 and the one I noticed was £11.99.

stilllovingmysleep · 19/05/2016 19:43

Ah ok much better!

Xoticdreamz · 19/05/2016 19:48

It's very strange getting used to looking at the macros and my fat content being the highest !
Feel very full today .
Just had some pork scratching ... Lovely

BIWI · 19/05/2016 20:03

Evening all.

Finally back home.

I shall draw a very large and very thick veil over the last few days. Suffice to say, it was very definitely the worst possible time for me to try and start Bootcamp!

But I'm back at work tomorrow, so back on it.

Sounds like everyone is doing really well, and it's great to read your meals and recipes! Hugely inspirational.

And already some good results on the scales, which is fantastic to hear.

SayrraT · 19/05/2016 20:07

still if you wait until BClite you can have Crabbys Crumble (on recipe thread). It's delicious.

ClopySow · 19/05/2016 20:08

Where do i count macros? I've tried, i'm very confused. All the sites i've found are for body building and want me to up my carbs.

BIWI · 19/05/2016 20:09

Clopy - you don't need to! That's the whole fecking point of Bootcamp - that people don't have to weigh or count anything Grin

Just follow the rules and you. will. be. fine.

ClopySow · 19/05/2016 20:15
