Welcome everyone!

We have around 130 people signed up this time, so it's going to be a busy and fast-moving thread.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to enter your weight.

The lovely Sayrra manages the spreadsheet. Please don't mess with it! Just enter your weight and leave all the other columns/rows alone!

I'll start a questions thread to run along side this chat thread, so that you can post stuff there in the knowledge that your question will definitely be seen. (I can't promise to get to your questions immediately, but I will read and answer them)

And please, please, please - no matter how fast-moving the thread is, please read the whole thing and don't just post your own thing. You'll miss a lot of valuable stuff that way, and it also presumes that I (and other posters) are happy to keep repeating stuff.

But above all, very good luck everyone!

Whiffy I have also made a note of your details as I don't think it works with you below the formatted cells and will add you later.

wombattoo · 17/05/2016 17:18

Veryflummoxed there is a weight added next to your entry on the spreadsheet. I won't post it here as not everyone posts weight on the thread, but it looks ok to me?

wombattoo · 17/05/2016 17:21

I've had a good second day

B: Poached salmon and cream cheese
L: Chicken and courgette curry with a bit of savoy cabbage
D: Hm beef burgers and belly pork with mayo and 2 cherry toms
S: Crackling strips from M&S
My quota of water

It's good to see so many are doing so well

WanHeda · 17/05/2016 17:42

Yvonne you can try taking Biotin for hair loss?

BIWI · 17/05/2016 17:51

Yvonne here's an interesting link about low carb and weight loss

The good news is that it would suggest it's only temporary.

And the implication of it is that you mustn't go too low in calories when you're doing it (which is something I say about Bootcamp anyway!)

Sorry - I meant low carb and hair loss! So used to typing 'weight loss'!

wambattoo thanks. Sorry if my post was a bit confusing. Someone kindly posted my weight yesterday. However StuntNun asked for someone to try a link. I did and told her it worked then looked again and decided it only partly worked.

eleven59 · 17/05/2016 17:53

Thanks Wombatto. Found it!

Abracadabra12 · 17/05/2016 17:57

Hi all

I don't know why but today felt so much easier! Much less hungry than yesterday.

Breakfast - egg and feta muffin thingies with half an avocado
Lunch - smoked mackerel pate with salad leaves
Snack - a babybel
Dinner - salmon fillet, fennel braised in butter, cauliflower

Is that too much cheese?? (Please don't say yes...)

BIWI · 17/05/2016 17:58

Ye ....

Grin

Only you will know if it's too much cheese. If you find that you're not losing, or you're losing very slowly, then cheese/dairy is one of the first things to consider. (Assuming you're following the rest of the rules)

I only managed a 20 mins run today, as started to feel quite strengthless and shaky. After the attempt I think I'm starting to have a mild case of the carb flu. Headache and feeling tired and cold. Feeling thirsty, so drinking the required amount is no effort. Also I've got an unpleasant taste in my mouth, which is making me wistful for gum. I wonder if chewing some fresh mint leaves would be nice?

Otherwise it's been a good day. I didn't make it home for lunch for my soup, so went through a packet of naice ham and an M&S deli pot of olives and mozzarella for lunch, and will be having the creamy chicken soup for dinner in a minute.

BIWI · 17/05/2016 18:36

Definitely carb flu, Bursars! The taste in the mouth is a dead giveaway. Although it's not the most pleasant thing, it's a good sign - and it's also temporary. Sugar-free gum can help as a very temporary measure (as it contains sweeteners), along with drinking even more water.

Read my post thread about carb flu and how to help with it.

Second day gone well:
B- Greek yoghurt with some chorizo after
L- salad with salmon, artichokes and Mayo dressing with olives on the side and small cubes of cheese
D- omelette and veg
S- matchbox sized piece of cheese
Think I may have to experiment with dairy to see how much I can tolerate. I suspect that I'm drinking too much milk at the moment although I've cut down to 3 cups of tea/coffee today. Will try and cut down more tomorrow.

HumphreyCobblers · 17/05/2016 18:52

veryflummoxed, I collected some butter on the edge of the radish, dipped it in a bowl of salt and bit it. Repeat as necessary. I read about it in some random newspaper article years ago, turns out it is a brilliant way of getting more butter in.

Veryflummoxed · 17/05/2016 18:57

B ff total yogurt

Coffee with cream

L salmon. Salad leaves, cucumber, mayonnaise.

D roast pork and cracking. Celeriac mash (loads of butter) runner beans. Mushrooms fried in butter.

Mint tea. Black tea and (it will be) 3and a half litres of water.

What wonderful food every one is eating.

KP86 · 17/05/2016 18:57

Evening, everyone :) Hope you're doing well on day 2.

As I've been LC for a few months now, I've decided this week's challenge will be to get my water intake up, up, up! So far I've been doing well, close to or more than 3L since Sunday (whereas it wouldn't be unheard of for me to only have 1 glass over a whole day normally), and it doesn't feel like a total chore.

B: coconut oil, creamy coffee
L: out and about with DS so it was pork scratchings Blush
D: Greek-style marinated chicken pieces (glug olive oil, 1 tablespoon bottled lemon juice or half a fresh lemon, dried rosemary, oregano, marjoram, basil, a little bit of garlic and paprika) with roasted cauli, broccoli, zucchini and mushrooms.
Snack: cheese cake mix

SoggyBottoms · 17/05/2016 18:59

Hi guys, I've been following BC for a few weeks now and have lost 8lb already so I have a head start! Still want to lose another stone though and that will be the baby weight done... though I do still struggle with feeling rotten some days and particularly with nausea as I'm just not used to eating such rich food.

Today have had
B: Smoked salmon and sour cream
L: Chicken curry, courgetti and FF yoghurt
D: Chicken and vegetable stir fry
S: A few pork scratchings, mainly to get my fat content up.

Any clever ideas for getting fat content up without adding to nausea, I'm interested..

Veryflummoxed · 17/05/2016 18:59

Humphrey Cobblers thanks. I will definitely try that.

ClopySow · 17/05/2016 19:07

WanHeda and Gcal*

LC restaurant in Aberdeen?

ClopySow · 17/05/2016 19:11

So i made the braised cabbage from the spreadsheet. Ah. May. ZING!

B 2 cold sausages because they needed using up and a cup of coffee with cream

L green salad with asparagus, boiled eggs, olives dressed in oil and mayo

D braised cabbage and lamb chops

At least 2 litres of water so far today

wombattoo · 17/05/2016 19:18

Soggy - have you tried bullet proof coffee (bpc). Coffee with a teaspoon of unsalted butter and a teaspoon of coconut oil whisked with a brother. It tastes a bit like a latte

wombattoo · 17/05/2016 19:19

Whisked with a FROTHER not your brother Blush

Iamdobby63 · 17/05/2016 19:20

KP86 Cheese cake mix? Please share...

wombattoo · 17/05/2016 19:20

Also Soggy - are you drinking plenty of water?

SoggyBottoms · 17/05/2016 19:30

Ha ha ha. I definitely won't try to whisk it with my brother!!

Yes drinking lots of water already. The BPC sounds interesting. I don't drink either coffee or tea... Is there anything else I could add it to? I was thinking of ginger tea maybe?
