Thought we could post here when we've done a work-out and not clog up main thread. I'm really hoping that it will speed up the weight loss a bit and tone up my numerous wobbly bits!

I'm starting with L1 D1 of the 30 Day Shred tomorrow - DD doesn't think I can commit to it - I'll bloomin well show her!!

Shred done - 4/26

mustbemad71 · 02/02/2016 17:22

Nigella I will catch up with you tomorrow, no time this morning and I'm crap at exercising after work. However need to do an hour of housework at lightning speed now then hoping for an early night with DP later as DC at their dad's - does that count as exercise?! Grin

NigellasGuest · 02/02/2016 18:57

Haha just read what you wrote on the other thread! I guess it depends how - um - active you get! Enjoy your evening ;)

Mookbark · 03/02/2016 11:01

Well done on the shredding and, um, the other exercise everyone. must Wink
As I mentioned in the other thread, I was unwell yesterday and although I feel a lot better today I'm still not well enough to exercise. I'm hoping to feel well enough for some light exercise by tomorrow.
Did walk the dog this morning and will do so tonight as well, so that is something, I suppose.
I have a fitbit and my steps yesterday were terrible - 5,000 compared to 13,000 the day before.

NigellasGuest · 03/02/2016 11:18

aaagghhh you are called Mookbark I've been calling you Moonbark with visions of my dog making a noise in the dark! anyway get well soon and it's definitely a bad move to go back to exercising too soon so take it easy.

I'm off to walk dog soon too, plus yes I did the shred and so now I can say
5/25!

How's things, must? Wink

mustbemad71 · 03/02/2016 11:37

Well ladies - I got blown out! He was too tired too busy reading car magazine!!! No shred for me today as doing 1:45min full on yoga with DD tonight. Walking dog now.

Mook I have a Fitbit gathering dust in a drawer somewhere - let's start logging steps too? I will start tomorrow. Hope you feel better soon.

Nigella you are now leaving me for dust in the shredding race!

OP posts:
Mookbark · 03/02/2016 13:08

Nigella Grin Don't worry about it, I answer to most things. In fact, it is nothing to do with the dog and derives from me mis-saying bookmark and being laughed at by DH and DS3!
must Men, eh? Would be good to compare steps. I was obsessed with my fitbit when I first got it, but now, almost a year on I need encouragement sometimes.

NigellasGuest · 03/02/2016 15:19

Must - don't worry it's not a race! Dog walking and 1:45min of yoga is not exactly sedentary!(and something will happen in my life sooner or later that stops me shredding, I guarantee it)

Mook that makes sense!

mustbemad71 · 03/02/2016 17:18

Thanks for encouragement Nigella! I love yoga with my DD - although last week the chap RIGHT in front of me had a severe case of escaping ball sack when in downward dog - it was rather disconcerting! Hoping he's got some more suitable attire on tonight or at least stays at the back!!!

OP posts:
TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 03/02/2016 22:41

Please may I join in? 2/28 done!

GrinGrin at escaping ball sack! Cor blimey!

I have Shredded before but never made it past about 12/18. Sometimes I have cheated and skipped Level 1 because I have done it so often. I have done Level 2 two or three times, but I have only ever done 1 day of Level 3. This time I will finish it!

mustbemad71 · 04/02/2016 07:28

Too you found us! I plan to shred later - I think I'll do what Stuntnun suggested and stick with Level 1 for the full 30 days until I can do it with ease.

No ball sacks on show last night thank god!

OP posts:
TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 04/02/2016 07:38

I have to exercise at night - well, that or get up at 5.30. I am not a morning person! Good luck today! We are well on our way to getting Shredded!

NigellasGuest · 04/02/2016 09:18

No shredding for me today, just not feeling it, as the yoof say.

Glad yoga went well with no unwanted show, Must!

Hi there Too - nice to have another shredder!

Mookbark · 04/02/2016 10:03

must glad there was no ball sack action last night. Why do some men do this? Do they not realise? Although, if I had my fanjo wafting in the wind, I'm sure I would know Grin
I'm proud of myself this morning as I went to the gym before work. I got my food, kit, work clothes, make up, etc ready before I went to bed last night. So, all I had to do this morning was get dressed, put the beef curry on in the slow cooker (Mmm, yummy) and go.
Feeling 90% better, but not 100%, so I just ran for 20 minutes today and did a bit of planking.
Managed to still get into work for 8.25. I'm going to try and do this once a week.

antimatter · 04/02/2016 11:20

There's new Fitbit available called Alta.
I lost my old one and am very tempted.
But there may be better way to spend £99 if I already walk because that is an essential part of my day and go to the gym whenever I can.
Owning Fitbit for over a year made me more active but the main difference between now and a year ago is that I changed jobs and stopped driving to work and have access to the gym at lunchtime.
When i was driving it was big effort for me to walk 10K steps a day. Now I clock easily 14K + do my gym visits without much effort.

NigellasGuest · 05/02/2016 11:33

Back on the Shredding Wagon today - so 5/25

Mook how are you feeling? 100% again yet?
Anti sounds like you don't really need that new Fitbit?
Must I'm envious of you doing yoga with your DD - none of mine would be interested I'm afraid. Must be lovely doing something like that together! I can't even get mine to come out to walk the dog. The only joint activity atm is watching Celebrity Big Brother and Eastenders with DD1 Blush

Mookbark · 05/02/2016 18:01

Well done Nigella. I'm feeling much better now, thanks.
Not had chance to exercise today or even walk the dog as I had to go to work early, then straight after work I take DS3 to beavers. It's gone 7 by the time I'll get home and then all I'm ready for is dinner and a relax.
Will be back walking the dog, and hopefully exercising tomorrow. Think I might not get to the gym, but might brave a run outside!

mustbemad71 · 05/02/2016 19:02

Evening ladies - I've been crap as so busy with work then sorting out the DDs. Going to shred tomorrow though!

Nigella I absolutely love the yoga with DD1! We are trying to persuade DD2 to come too but it's not her thing. Neither of them will dog walk with me though!

Mook I didn't sit down until 10:30pm last night - we must be burning cals running around after everyone!

OP posts:
NigellasGuest · 06/02/2016 17:33

Shredded this a.m. so 6/24 but ate Bad Things last night and feel fat and blobby.

Mookbark · 06/02/2016 19:06

Well done for shredding Nigella. Forget about last night, it's in the past now.
Must I agree, being active must be good. However, sometimes I'd just like a day of doing sweet FA Smile
Today been another run around day. I didn't manage to go for a run as DH was longer at the gym than expected and with everything else that needed doing, the only time I could have gone would be at about 8.30 - 9.00 tonight. I've done that in the past, but it's pissing it down here and blowing a gale, so I really, really don't want to. Unfortunately, my gym closes at 8pm at a weekend as most people have a life
It's my turn for the gym tomorrow though, so I will definitely be going then.
I have walked the dog for an hour, mostly against the wind, so that must count for something!

NigellasGuest · 06/02/2016 22:07

thanks Mook
blowing a gale here too - hope it's calmer tomorrow, I'd like to do a spot of gardening!

NigellasGuest · 07/02/2016 12:00

OK so it's still blowy here but at least it's not raining and we have intermittent sunshine. No shred for me today - I take Sunday literally as my Day Of Rest, I have now officially decided.

Anyone not exercising right now due to Life, that's normal, we will all get back to it in the week! Dog walking, gardening, even just resting - it's all good from time to time.

Mookbark · 07/02/2016 18:37

Hope you are enjoying your rest day nigella.
I ran for 30 minutes on the treadmill today, was really pleased to manage a full 30. I was slow, so my next challenge is to stick with a 30 minutes run but increase the pace. Did a bit of planking then, then went for a quick swim.
I've also walked the dog twice, for a total of at least an hour and a half. My Fitbit says I've done 22,000 step, 15 kilometres and 154 active minutes. Shame work gets in the way and I only mange that sort of activity once or twice a week. Grin

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 07/02/2016 20:46

3/27 done! Gaah. That was hard! Somehow day 3 is always hellish. This week I will attempt to do more than 3 days of Shred - I'll never get anywhere at this rate!

15km, Mook, wow! That's amazing.

ami9 · 07/02/2016 23:21

Hi I am starting Tracy Anderson dvd from tomorrow so would be posting 4 times a week. I need to get back on boot camp too. Wish me luck xx
