Morning all!

I see we have almost 90 brave souls signed up this time. Welcome everyone, and to the lurkers at the back.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

The list is alphabetised, and all you need to do is to add your weight next to your name. Don't do anything else or touch any of the other cells! If your name isn't on the list for any reason, add it to the bottom of everyone else's names, and the lovely Sayrra will re-alphabetise the list later.

If you don't want to put your actual weight, you can index it - i.e. your starting weight is 100, and every pound you lose is one. So if you started today at 160 lbs, and in the first week lost 7lbs, then next week you'd enter 93.

Also, don't feel that you have to weigh today - you might prefer to make another day of the week your weigh-in day. Up to you - but the spreadsheet is there as a resource to help you track how it's all going.

Re weighing, if you can, weigh first thing in the morning, naked, and before you eat or drink anything else. Don't weigh later on in the day, as all you're doing is weighing yourself plus whatever you've had to eat or drink. And use the same scales. Remember, it's not the actual weight that the scales tell you, more the weight that you've lost that counts.

Some people prefer to weigh every day - I'm one of them, as it helps to keep me focused - and some prefer to weigh once a week. It's up to you which you prefer. Bear in mind, though, that if you weigh every day you are very likely to see the scales fluctuate, which means that they may go up for no apparent reason. This is totally normal, as your weight can fluctuate on a daily basis (especially if your period is due). But psychologically it can be quite difficult - so if you don't think you'd be able to cope with this, then weekly weighing is for you.

I'm going to start a questions thread now as well. In the first few weeks of Bootcamp the chat thread can move very quickly, and it's easy for posts to get missed - so if you have a particular burning question, it's probably best to post it on the dedicated thread. And if we can all keep an eye on the questions thread, rather than just me, we can get everything answered quickly!

Given up with the app and I can't use the computer as its a work one and IT monitor it. So no idling on mn...

Drank loads of water to my surprise as I'm not vg at that. Also weighed myself and was horrified to see I weigh the same as I did when about to have dc1 Shock

Jerm123 · 18/01/2016 20:42

Hi, would someone add my weight (205lbs) as My IPad is a second generation and doesn't support the app [hmmm] maybe a new iPad can be a motivational present to myself when I've lost 2 of the 4 stone I need to loose.
B whipped egg omelette, with salmon and dill
L steak with a version of hollandaise sauce, mashed swede and spinach.
D soup - made from yesterday's roast chicken and veg- carrots, broccoli and cauliflower.

I tried coffee without sugar and found it so disgusting, I'm sticking to water. Sad

But all in all, I've not been hungry at all, and I will be keeping soup on tap, in case of nibble attacks! it can zap in the microwave in minutes.

Thank you so much to the leaders of this thread, it is much appreciated Flowers

ShebaQueen · 18/01/2016 20:44

Thanks for the shiny new thread BIWI. I've updated my entry on the spreadsheet. Good luck everyone!

BIWI · 18/01/2016 20:45

Evening all!

Thank you for all those who are helping out by putting the weights onto the spreadsheet, and apologies about the problems with iPads Sad

I had a bit of an odd day today because I'd been away at the weekend and hadn't really organised myself properly!

Missed breakfast - too much on at work
Lunch - tin of tuna with some mayo, then followed by a bowl of 0% Total - all the supermarket local to work sells Angry, with some extra thick double cream stirred in, to make up the fat, with some vanilla extract
Dinner - roast pork, crackling, celeriac mash with buttered leeks stirred in, broccoli pan fried with shallots and red chilli

Plenty left over for me to take to work and use for my lunch over the next two days! And DH went shopping this afternoon, so the house is now full of the right kind of stuff.

One quick question, can I use ground almonds? I think I might be able to mix it with eggs to make a sort of morning pancake?

Mookbark · 18/01/2016 20:54

Jerm not on BC, but I think you can on BC lite.
I've had a good day, over 3L of water and lots of lovely food.
Ive just been making pancetta, leek and mushroom muffins to take to work over the next two days as I've got two busy days at work coming up.

Jerm123 · 18/01/2016 20:55

Sorry, just read that nuts are off the menu. Sorry.

Wombatinabathhat · 18/01/2016 20:56

Jerm I've added your weight. I think ground almonds are out for the first 2 weeks but I could be wrong

ChesterDrawers · 18/01/2016 20:56

Jerm no nuts for the first two weeks, I'm afraid.

TrinityForce · 18/01/2016 20:57

I weighed myself for the first time today, since when I last did bootcamp 3 years ago

I've put on 4 stone :( and not even really noticed it creeping on.

So ashamed

VikingLady · 18/01/2016 20:57

God, I'm an idiot. Totally forgot the date! I'll weigh in tomorrow when I can get to Boots scales.

Mookbark · 18/01/2016 21:00

Trinity Thanks no need to be ashamed. I suspect everyone here has had weight creep on without really realising at one time or another. I know I certainly have. The important thing is that you are here now ready to do something about it.

Melinda - you should really only be having one bpc a day!

Trinity - you're not an idiot. You're a human being! And you've started now, so the only way is down

Then one cube of low carb brownie. One cube is a really really small amount BTW. I might have some Total in a minute too VagueIdeas

I;ve had lots of water, herbal teas, and 3 coffees (but quite weak coffee with cream).

DartmoorDoughnut · 18/01/2016 21:40

FelicityFunknickle · 18/01/2016 21:53

Had poached salmon with holandaise and broccoli for supper.
Then an avocado with some grated cheddar.

Coffee with cream, just the one. No sweetener (that's new for me).
Dh drinking wine now so im going to bed Envy
I must get some of that salted caramel tea englebert
The spicy tea with almond milk was lovely.

milkmilklemonade12 · 18/01/2016 21:56

trinity it's so easy to do. 2 stone has crept on without me even noticing really. I'm tall and can carry weight well... It's just sort of 'there' really.

milkmilklemonade12 · 18/01/2016 21:59

mom I've done: avocado and smoked salmon with salt and pepper, cold sausage and bacon with ff Mayo to dip, a 'picky box' with LC veg crudités (celery, cucumber, peppers, radishes), some ff Philly in a cling film twist to dip, 2 babybels and some ham and cheese roll ups... These have all worked well for me Smile

Also a can of tuna with a ring pull lid and a fork is a good addition!

Jerm123 · 18/01/2016 22:23

Jerm I've added your weight. I think ground almonds are out for the first 2 weeks but I could be wrong

Thank you Wombat

BIWI · 18/01/2016 22:26

No ground almonds for the first two weeks, I'm afraid!
