Morning all!

I see we have almost 90 brave souls signed up this time. Welcome everyone, and to the lurkers at the back.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

The list is alphabetised, and all you need to do is to add your weight next to your name. Don't do anything else or touch any of the other cells! If your name isn't on the list for any reason, add it to the bottom of everyone else's names, and the lovely Sayrra will re-alphabetise the list later.

If you don't want to put your actual weight, you can index it - i.e. your starting weight is 100, and every pound you lose is one. So if you started today at 160 lbs, and in the first week lost 7lbs, then next week you'd enter 93.

Also, don't feel that you have to weigh today - you might prefer to make another day of the week your weigh-in day. Up to you - but the spreadsheet is there as a resource to help you track how it's all going.

Re weighing, if you can, weigh first thing in the morning, naked, and before you eat or drink anything else. Don't weigh later on in the day, as all you're doing is weighing yourself plus whatever you've had to eat or drink. And use the same scales. Remember, it's not the actual weight that the scales tell you, more the weight that you've lost that counts.

Some people prefer to weigh every day - I'm one of them, as it helps to keep me focused - and some prefer to weigh once a week. It's up to you which you prefer. Bear in mind, though, that if you weigh every day you are very likely to see the scales fluctuate, which means that they may go up for no apparent reason. This is totally normal, as your weight can fluctuate on a daily basis (especially if your period is due). But psychologically it can be quite difficult - so if you don't think you'd be able to cope with this, then weekly weighing is for you.

I'm going to start a questions thread now as well. In the first few weeks of Bootcamp the chat thread can move very quickly, and it's easy for posts to get missed - so if you have a particular burning question, it's probably best to post it on the dedicated thread. And if we can all keep an eye on the questions thread, rather than just me, we can get everything answered quickly!

Evening Smile

I wrote a post this morning but got distracted with DS so didn't press post... anyway good day so far. I'm really looking forward to this Smile apart from the lack of chips...

AuntieMaggie · 18/01/2016 18:38

ijustwanttobeme · 18/01/2016 18:51

Before I go out for dinner - away with work and team want to go to a carvery. Thinking about it now, not sure if s good idea.

Know obvs that roasties, peas and carrots are a no no, but are green beans and red cabbage OK in terms of low carb veg?

HammerToFall · 18/01/2016 18:51

Hello everyone!

Scales are not working- bigger. Will have to weigh tomorrow.

B- cheese omelette and slice of bacon
L- cheese omelette and green beans
D- chicken stuffed with full fat cream cheese, wrapped in Parma ham. Buttery and creamy leeks

How has everyone's first day gone?

Wombatinabathhat · 18/01/2016 18:56

I've added AuntieMaggie Readyfor and Hammer

NigellasGuest · 18/01/2016 18:59

Ijustwanttobeme- I think those are low carb, as long as the red cabbage isn't baked in sugar or anything like that

YesEinsteinsMumDid · 18/01/2016 19:05

saffynool how come you've been up for 56 hours?! Insomnia can really be that bad. Thankfully when i took my nap I crashed and slept 4 rather than 2hrs and am ready for bed so it was only a 30hr day before that which is far more managable.

DiscoDancer · 18/01/2016 19:07

Marking place to add details later Smile

DiscoDancer · 18/01/2016 19:33

And just wanted to say I have the PMT munchies big time. I started on the 4th jan, had no cravings the first week but last few days I find myself looking at carbs where before I happily ignored all the Christmas selection packs we had lying around!

Pcat · 18/01/2016 19:33

Can I join please. 199lb.
Long term low carber in the past stopped when pregnant.... I have been doing 5 2 for the last year and failed to lose weight. Time to admit bread and I cannot be friends.
I can't add myself to the spreadsheet on the ipad- been trying all day to update iOS so I can download the app.....

feekerry · 18/01/2016 19:43

Engelbert umm what is this salted caramel tea you speak of??? It sounds AMAZING!!!!

Wombatinabathhat · 18/01/2016 19:51

Pcat I've added you.
I promise I'm not just keeping guard on the spreadsheet Blush wanders off to get a life

Nateismine · 18/01/2016 19:53

Good day as day 1 should be!
B- scrambled egg and butter plus a bulletproof coffee which was unexpectedly delicious
L- rocket, avocado and egg salad
D- salmon with mushrooms and cream and an enormous pile of buttery kale

Drank 2.5l water. Peed constantly!
Went swimming and bought a road bike.

Good luck to all?

Pcat · 18/01/2016 19:56

Thank you wombat

blackteaplease · 18/01/2016 20:13

Tomorrow is a tricky day for me, toddler group straight after schoolrun then I get home at lunchtime hungry. In the afternoon I drive my eldest to ballet and get home at 6.30 hungry again but have to process 3 children alone as dh is at work late.

I have the main meals sorted but what can I have in terms of quick snacks to fill me up?

FoodPorn · 18/01/2016 20:13

D - devilled eggs and leftover paneer curry from last night's dinner (various low carb veg).

It's my first time and I'm loving reading what others are eating - great inspiration. I've been blowing DP's mind telling him that this diet includes snacks of cheese spread with butter and pork scratchings for breakfast Grin.

CharlieSierra · 18/01/2016 20:18

Hi all, checking in. I am ill, feeling very sorry for myself and my ribs hurt from coughing. I've not got much of an appetite but I've had a vanilla Coyo, a baby avocado, a slice of frittata and some cold Guinea fowl. I'm hoping to feel better tomorrow.

SayrraT · 18/01/2016 20:21

Hello everyone Grin well done on the first day.

I had a slight fail by forgetting we are not allowed nuts and I had coconut porridge for breakfast.

B: coconut porridge, coffee with cream
S: FF yog
L: Broccoli soup, babybel
D: Rump steak (no veg as forgot to go to supermarket!)

Sorry that the spreadsheet doesn't work with i-things, we have this problem every BC.

hefzi · 18/01/2016 20:22

blacktea how about hard-boiled eggs? You can prep them in advance and then just snack when you need to.
