Dobroye utro!

(Or good morning Grin)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Thankfully I'm nowhere near any scales at the moment. Apart from the food on the plane yesterday, I've managed to resist the lure of the carbs, although it was pretty tough at breakfast this morning, as my body was shrieking at me to have toast! But I resisted, and had two hard boiled eggs and some plain yoghurt. (I'm sure it was low fat, as that's par for the course, but it wasn't sweetened).

Anyway, I hope you all have good results this morning, and here's to another successful low carb week.

Didn't manage omelette - had some chicken with whole earth peanut/flax /seed butter and cucumber to dip.

Huntthepigsear · 10/11/2015 21:45

I'm going to have to try those M&S nuts BIWI, but not too many at once. Grin
I love reading everyone's food, it gives me some good ideas. I've tried looking on the recipe thread, but never get passed about page 2. It's a shame it's not searchable.
Today, I had breakfast at about 12.30 as I didn't have time before then. I had to take DH back to the hospital to get his leg brace adjusted and then straight to work. Still managed to fit lunch in!
B - 2 hb eggs with butter, coffee with cream
L - mackerel pate with lettuce, cucumber and olives, ff yoghurt
D - sausage and cheese bake - black farmer sausages fried and then placed on top of shallots, yellow pepper, mushrooms and spinach and covered with mozzarella and cheddar and baked for 20 minutes. Yummy, and enough leftover for lunch tomorrow.
S - spicy chai latte with almond milk and cream.

ChesterDrawers · 11/11/2015 07:29

Hunt if you are on a PC or iPad you can search the recipe thread. Put all the posts on one page, then on PC use Ctrl + F to bring up a search box and if on iPad, just type the word you are looking for in the web address box, then look down the list and it will say something like 'find on this page' in the suggestion box and you can click on that.

Hope that makes sense helps.

EwanHoozami · 11/11/2015 09:26

B - not v hungry so had a liquid one: coffee & almond milk, buttery Bovril and a pint of water

L - three egg omelette with spring onions and seaweed

D - mackerel salad

going to try not to snack but there's greek yog in the fridge.

ChesterDrawers · 11/11/2015 11:03

Yesterday started off well but then went slightly awry.

B: Eggs, butter, half avocado - good
L: 150g of salted almonds Blush In my defence, there was only 6g of carbs in the whole 150g, but still, I only meant to have a handful your honour
S: A fair few chunks of cheddar
D: As I'm in the middle of birthday cake hell, we decided on a takeawy kebab. I usually have a chicken kebab or a mixed chicken and lamb kebab (both chunks of meat). So I asked DH to get a mixed kebab - and that's exactly what he asked for, only a mixed kebab is not what I actually meant, I just assumed he'd know what I wanted (I was trying to make a chunk of yellow icing look like a minion at this point so may not have been fully engaged in the conversation). So I ended up with a box full of reconstituted meat products of unknown carbage instead of my lovely marinated meat chunks. Now things are quite strained with DH and I at the moment. We are working on it, but I felt so bad as he had got me what I asked for and looked really pissed off when I complained. So I ate what I could then cried 'full', so goodness knows what a fuck up that was.

So we live to fight another day.

Today's plan:
B: As yesterday - -amazing
L: Hmmmm, but not as yesterday, that's for sure
D: Salmon in parma ham with veggies of some sort

regenerationfez · 11/11/2015 11:55

I'm doing some lc baking today. I've made some mini muffins and I've got a batch of Oopsie rolls in the oven. I couldn't open the recipe on the thread, so I googled the recipe. I've managed to get 12. Do they really take 40 minutes in the oven??? I've put the oven on 140c as it was a us recipe so said 300f

WhiffyBiffer · 11/11/2015 12:24

Sorry can't help with the oopsie rolls but interested to hear how they turn out!
Yesterday:
B: 2 eggs scrambled with butter & spinach, creamy coffee
L: can't actually remember! But it was fine I think. Involved smoked salmon.
D: 2 LC sausages, mushroom tuna melts

S: pork scratchings, ff yogurt, marmite drink.

My headache did lift after the marmite so will bear that in mind for future!

Today same breakfast, lunch will be mackerel salad

BeyondThirty · 11/11/2015 12:57

Hey, i'm still bootcamping, just not been on. I've also been using mfp to try to get to the bottom of why my weight is going nowhere fast (thyroid came back normal). I've also just started hydrotherapy, so hopefully that little bit more activity will help :)

BeyondThirty · 11/11/2015 13:03

Some good news for you chester - the "elephant legs" should only be made of meat and spices, no extra carbage. Now theres no saying what meat exactly, nor what bit of the animal, but they (and their lovely high fat content) should be safe for LC :)

nekobus · 11/11/2015 16:35

Managing at last to drink my water but sloshing about a bit!

Yesterday
B - tea and soy milk, babybel
L - early lunch of 2 pork shoulder steaks, salad, dressing and mayo
D - mussels, smoked mackerel and prawns with courgette spaghetti

S - 85% Aldi choc bar

Today
B - babybel, coffee & cream, ff Greek yog & dbl cream w vanilla powder
L - same as yesterday
D - roast duck leg, LC veg not sure what yet!

Wombatinabathhat · 11/11/2015 17:12

Hello all.
Was working away yesterday so had to 'eat out'. I had a real burger without the bread and a side salad. I could taste something sweet in the salad dressing, as I forgot to ask for it undressed, so I left it. I did succumb to a couple of gherkins.
Today
B: Boiled eggs
L: Lamb, courgette and aubergine curry
D: Roast belly pork slices and cabbage - yum!

ShebaQueen · 11/11/2015 19:08

Evening, tough day for me today as I was attending a workshop and lunch was provided. There was very little beyond sandwiches so I hardly ate anything. Luckily I had a reasonable breakfast and drank gallons of water throughout the day. Am home now and cooking some chicken for dinner, planning to have it with cauliflower rice and spinach and some sort of cheese sauce.

Wombat - isn't it strange how your taste buds become so sensitive to anything sweet? I was a total sugar fiend before this diet, now even salad dressings, sauces and milk taste sweet.

Billionnairewannabe · 11/11/2015 20:18

Yesterday didn't feel hungry so very lite
B - small ff yog
L - 2 lettuce leaves & pâté same for dinner
Plus aerobics class so drank 3.5 l water

Today - starving!
B - quiche without pastry, m&s bacon strips (who suggested those! Grin) & ff yog
L 2 LC sausages with mushroom & aubergine fried in butter
D 2 LC sausages with fried mixed veg and strawberries & whipped cream!

Getting the water down now I'm back to work and doing my routine of 2 x 500ml in the morning, 2 - afternoon & 2 - eve.

Sheba - it's amazing isn't it? The biscuit tin used to rule my life and now I couldn't eat one if my life depended on it!

ChesterDrawers · 11/11/2015 20:24

Haha, it was me Billionaire, I could eat them for breakfast, dinner and tea. They are my Frazzles Grin

LexLoofah · 11/11/2015 20:31

Big breakkie for me as knew I wouldn't be having lunch as out and about so had 2 scr eggs, smoked salmon & avocado - felt terribly decadent, don't get that feeling with a cereal breakfast do you?

L- water

D - slowcooker lamb curry, cauli rice which re-heated beautifully from the freezer and roasted aubergine chunks

dark choc but a bit more than I should have had - two of the big but thin flat squares, they were the last in the bar and I just gobbled them up rather than put one square back in the packet

LexLoofah · 11/11/2015 20:37

can we not have ibruprofen BIWI? I have taken a few the last few days as hurt my lower back somehow and while can manage the pain OK thought it might help with inflammation but won't take anymore if they are a big no-no

CharlieSierra · 11/11/2015 21:56

Thank you BIWI, I take them for the anti inflammatory effect. I'm feeling a bit better today. I've been better with the water and I didn't need any drugs. Going to have an early night, and work from home tomorrow so can have a bit of peace and no commute.

B: Coyo
L: tuna, avocado, Mayo
D: meatballs, roasted veg

ChesterDrawers · 11/11/2015 22:24

Better today:

B: eggs, butter, avocado
L: tuna, pesto, avocado, olive oil, salad
D: salmon topped with pesto and Parmesan, roasted brocolli and asparagus, mushrooms in a cheesy cream sauce

Three actual meals - yay!

regenerationfez · 11/11/2015 23:06

My DH had a really crap day at work today so the salmon and cabbage wasn't really going to hit the spot! He wanted takeaway, so we had Indian. I had tandoori mixed grill, brinjal bhaji and Okra bhaji which was delicious with lc rice. I even wrapped my tandoori meat in my freshly made Oopsie rolls and they were really quite acceptable as an alternative to naan bread! The proper naan smelt so divine I thought I'd have to cave, but I waited a bit until they were cold and the smell went, and I was much more able to resist!

whitershadeofpale · 12/11/2015 09:07

I put on 2lbs last week. Too many coffees with milk and someone had made me a cake to celebrate my return to work so it seemed rude not to have a slice.

At least I know why, been really good this week and weighed myself this morning and I'm back to where I was so I'll KOKO.

WhiffyBiffer · 12/11/2015 12:15

D last night steak & onions with cauliflower cheese - yum. That's twice this week had a sauce made with cream and cheese, wonder if it will be too much dairy?

Coffee at a friend's this morning. Can't stand it black so had it with milk.

Was wondering about getting some uht cream portions off amazon to keep in my bag, would that be weird??

LexLoofah · 12/11/2015 12:34

B - cabbage in butter with caraway seeds, 2 fried eggs, cuppa, creamy coffee
L - use up day: aubergine, shallot coconut curry w cauli rice, sq dark choc
D - leftover lc lasagna

whiffy do you like herbal tea like peppermint? Might be easier to keep a few tea bags in your bag?

WhiffyBiffer · 12/11/2015 12:49

Thanks Lex yes I don't mind herbal and actually don't mind a weak black tea, I've just become very partial to a creamy coffee and hadn't had one this morning. I'm not quite getting enough sleep (baby-related) so am a bit caffeine-dependent at the moment!

BIWI · 12/11/2015 13:58

I don't think the occasional ibuprofen should do that much harm, but if you do need an anti-inflammatory it might be worth considering aspirin instead. (Paracetamol isn't an anti-inflammatory, although it is a painkiller)

Back from Moscow now, and looking forward to being in control of my food!

Wombatinabathhat · 12/11/2015 17:13

I had a babybel this morning and then didn't want any breakfast. A first for me.

I went for coffee with a friend at lunch time and she nagged and nagged me to have a bun/cake or share hers Confused
She's really slim so can eat what she likes cow but I don't get why she just couldnt accept that I didn't fancy one. It was a major triumph as I didn't have anything, and I felt surprising bad about having tea with milk. I don't know why because I've had the odd cup of tea with milk this week.

Anyway, had lunch late curry again, and mince and chorizo meatballs for tea.
Hope you are all doing ok.
