Dobroye utro!

(Or good morning Grin)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Thankfully I'm nowhere near any scales at the moment. Apart from the food on the plane yesterday, I've managed to resist the lure of the carbs, although it was pretty tough at breakfast this morning, as my body was shrieking at me to have toast! But I resisted, and had two hard boiled eggs and some plain yoghurt. (I'm sure it was low fat, as that's par for the course, but it wasn't sweetened).

Anyway, I hope you all have good results this morning, and here's to another successful low carb week.

A whopping 4lb off this week. My appetite is disappearing so I'm inadvertently doing 5/2! I'm sure being poorly helped a bit too.

Thanks for the new thread.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/11/2015 07:40

Signing in even though I've STS this week.

Dobrye dyen, BIWI Wink

SayrraT · 09/11/2015 07:56

Just signing in since I seemed to have missed last weeks thread completely Blush will be back later I need help!

ChesterDrawers · 09/11/2015 08:23

Back down by 1.2lbs so the same as I was two weeks ago after my unexplained gain. Not enough water this week, and probably a bit too much dairy yet again. Wish I could get my life eating back on track, would be so much easier. Oh, and STILL way too much wine.

Got DS' birthday party x 2 this weekend so will be baking a Minion cake later on in the week and trying not to eat any. I am feeling pretty determined right now so hoping that lasts. Will be ok at party on the Saturday as it's only a soft play thing, but have family over on the Sunday so that will be hard. Buffet will contain lots of BC friendly foods, so as long as I can eat something, hopefully I can get away without the third degree from my low fat, WW-loving relatives.

Yesterday was ace. Went to the pub for lunch with friends and ordered home made pork scratchings for pre-diner nibbles. OMFG, they were amazing! They were strips, about six inches long and all puffy and crunchy. I am so going back there again! Rest of meal was a bit meh, as they only had roasts on so I had a plate of pork, cabbage and broccoli and a caffetierre (sp?) of coffee with cream for pub.

Well done Glen, send that blood Whoosh Fairy my way if you see her again, I could do with a 4lb loss myself!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/11/2015 09:14

Oo Chester! I need to make a Minions cake for DS1's birthday in December - are you doing a flat one or a 3D one? I tried to persuade DS1 that a banana cake would be the way forward but he's having none of it - has to be chocolate cake

ChesterDrawers · 09/11/2015 09:25

I'm going for something like this Thumb but square and bigger - 3D is a bit beyond me. Going to attempt the actual Minions tonight! Confused

Just good old vanilla sponge here. I only do this once a year so rather than getting easier it's like the first time every time, but with the added fear of what can go wrong from previous experience.

DartmoorDoughnut · 09/11/2015 09:27

Managed to loose 4lbs, bit shocked tbh, all that dog walking up hills must be paying off!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/11/2015 09:31

I have a completely failsafe chocolate cake recipe, one that even survived the oven (gas) switching off after putting it in, and me not realising for half an hour, and the boys love it so I mostly get told to make that. Grin

That cake looks fab! This is what I'm going to aim for, I think (I can't do the 3D one either), although I haven't decided on the type of icing yet:

WhiffyBiffer · 09/11/2015 09:41

3.5lbs off for me, 6.5 altogether but only started 2 weeks ago. Week 3 for me but will stick on full boot camp I think - give myself an inch I'll take a mile! Am going to treat myself to prosecco when I lose a stone.
B: buttery scrambled eggs & spinach, creamy coffee

nekobus · 09/11/2015 10:24

4 lbs off this week, but that just takes me back to where i was at end of week 2, so after my unexplained gain in wk3 I'm at 4.8 lost in total. Please can I have a whoosh moment too? Chester send that fairy my way after you?! Grin

today's plan:
B - BPC, one babybel, 2 slices chorizo
L - leftover roast pork and veggies (adding lots of butter and mayo)
D - beef frying steak probably made into a stirfry with courgette noodles

must drink my water, lay off the dairy and no sneaky wine and 85% choc until I've lost some more pounds!

Well done on those losses everyone.

regenerationfez · 09/11/2015 10:31

I'm going to weigh myself every 2 weeks from now on. I'm really enjoying the delicious food cooked in butter and fat and don't miss carbs at all. I'm not bloated and my double chin has gone. However, its not showing up on the scales! I'm being massively rubbish with the water so I'm going to down herbal tea as well as water whenever I remember. I'm also going to try cutting down the dairy. I'm pouring a lot of cream into my coffee. I've had coffee with cream today but will stick to soya or herbal from now on!

B: Coffee with cream, Alpro coconut yoghurt with cream (I know what I just said, but I ran out of Greek yoghurt
L: Might fry some fish and veg.
D: Shepherds Pie with swede mash

EwanHoozami · 09/11/2015 10:32

Morning all. End of week 1 for me, not weighing though.

Appetite and lust for sugar have both subsided and I didn't really get any carb-flu on the transition. Hooray.

Well done you lot on some brilliant losses so far this week!

B - just an almond milk coffee, wasn't really hungry. Will have a big proper early lunch which will be...
L - spinach omelette with a nice oily salad
D - corned beef hash (made with leeks, corned beef, wholegrain mustard, chopped gherkins with roast swede and a fried egg on top - lush)

BIWI · 09/11/2015 10:54

there is a reason why I tell you to drink the water, regen!

OP posts:
regenerationfez · 09/11/2015 11:12

I know! I keep forgetting, then at the end of the day, I'm parched!!!

StuntNun · 09/11/2015 11:29

The scales are my enemy today. Koko.

BIWI · 09/11/2015 13:07

Not only parched, but also not losing weight! That's why you need to drink the water ...

Down 4 so I am 1.5 above my starting weight in Oct. Blush This loss was due to feeling poorly though. I got my flu jab on Tuesday (rather late in the season) and that triggered sinusitis that is trying hard to become bronchitis. My throat was so sore I really wasn't interested eating-it even hurt to speak. I had to indulge in some warm Lemon/Honey Tea. Anyway, antibiotics are working and I feel like I can exercise/rake leaves this week.

Yesterday:
B-Eggs, cream cheese, butter
L- an Atkins frozen low carb meal. (I know, not ideal, but once in a blue moon.)
D- roasted broccoli and cauliflower in olive oil with smoked oysters (and I resisted the crackers I would have loved to have with that!)
S-2 slices deli cheese
3 liter water

Genx77 · 09/11/2015 13:29

Is it too late to join?!
Just signed up for 6 weeks with a personal trainer, taking me right up to christmas Eve.
Breakfast for me today was 2 protein pancakes with Greek yogurt
Lunch was Turkey steaks with Parmesan courgettes.
Superfood chicken salad for lunch (after the gym - I'll be starving!)

regenerationfez · 09/11/2015 13:59

I know, I did the same today! I filled up my 750ml water bottle, drank most of it, filled it up to go out, then forgot it! I did buy a bottle of water from a shop though, but was kicking myself.

I still have time to do the 3 litres and I'm having a herbal tea with my Cod fried in butter and leeks.

ShebaQueen · 09/11/2015 14:04

Hello all, 1lb down for me this week, which I am very happy with after STS last week. Koko everyone.

ChesterDrawers · 09/11/2015 14:04

In need of comfort food today after being very annoyed at work and TOTM being due, on top of trying to organise two parties at the weekend.

So lunch was a pot of M&S cheese and onion sandwich filler with a pack of crispy bacon strips Blush I think they need to stop selling these as they are my crack cocaine, I can't say no to them.

Got some LC whoopsie sausages for tea but I promise I will have some veggies with them too.

Usually, today would be a chocolate and chocolate kind of day, so I am making steps in the right direction, albeit, a bacon-y direction, What does everyone else eat for LC comfort?

BIWI · 09/11/2015 15:34

Not really much wrong with this - obviously bacon is processed, but as long as you're not snaffling it at every mealtime, every day, it's fine!

Rather than asking what LC comforts there are, perhaps you should be asking why you associate food with comfort? Emotional eating is a problem for a lot of people, and being able to break that connection could be hugely beneficial for you

AndtheBand

Really? You had to indulge in something that is going to sabotage you? Why is that? Why couldn't you just have some lemon tea? Or something else hot? It's a complete myth that honey is comforting. Break that association!

These kind of slips aren't insignificant.

Gcalgske · 09/11/2015 16:05

Hot tea with lemon and coconut oil is amazingly soothing on a sore throat. Also drinking water with apple cider vinegar (one with the mother) about a tsp in a pint us really good.

Wombatinabathhat · 09/11/2015 16:53

Thanks for new thread BIWI

Another 2lb off for me making 11lb in total this BC.
I'm really thrilled as I couldn't manage the last 2 BC's, I kept sabotaging myself. I have pretty much stuck to bc apart from wine on Sat

B: 2 boiled eggs
L: Lamb, courgette and aubergine curry
D: Roast lamb and cabbage
S: A few pork scratchings, coffee with cream

Well done everyone Thanks
