Morning all!

Apologies for the late start today - bit harassed and manic at the moment.

Anyway Here's the Spreadsheet

Hope that this last week has been a good one, and that you see the results this morning.

We have just four weeks left, so let's stay focused and see what we can do. All being well, we could get rid of another pesky half stone!

Good luck to you all

morning, survived my first 2 days on placement and no cheating and not even any tea as I was too knackered when I got in.
Will catch up on thread later as not had time to read just wanted to place mark. :) hope everyone is well. I only had a 0.2 loss this week but thats ok as I had that funny couple of days with my tummy.

Thank you for the kind messages on the last thread.

hangon, I read the post at the end of last week's message. I wanted to wish you strength and support, because, speaking from experience, sometimes it is easier to run away from difficult emotions, than face them, so seeking support is a courageous step. I have started my daily meditation practice again which is part of what I learned last year; and it is helpful, and my weight loss started properly about half way through my therapy course, because determination kicked in, but also I started talking. I hope things go well for you Flowers. Nothing gets resolved overnight, it is a series of small steps, one at a time.

On an unrelated note, I really must get the Dr Briffa book.

dita, a small loss is also fine because it means the weight is staying off! (Particularly if you have been ill and having a new work situation to deal with)

Just hear to log my food plans for the day. I find it easier if it's all planned in advance. As before, I'm new to bc but not new to lc, so any tips or advice if I'm not doing it right gratefully received!

B: bpc with coconut oil and double cream, not really hungry.
L: chicken and avocado salad with 1 cherry tomato, mayo, evoo
Supper is hm beef and horseradish burgers with an aubergine mozzarella pizza slice and salad.

Aiming to eat a bigger supper tonight as I had a small bowl of curry last night as I thought I wasn't that hungry, then later ended up having 2 pieces of cheddar with a cherry tomato and a chai tea with cream.

I don't want to get into the habit of not eating enough then snacking because a) I find it harder to find snacks that aren't processed or cheese on this woe, though meals are easy, and b) the other day I went about 5 hours between meals which I'm not sure I've done in my life!

Ooh beef and horseradish burgers, will have to try that!

My food yesterday :

B: Courgette fried in butter plus scrambled eggs. Creamy coffee
L: Few bits of posh cheese from a French market we went to on Sunday, aubergine fried in butter, pate.
D: Pork meatballs (pork mince, chilli, shallot) and cauliflower rice with some soy sauce

It was all lovely but feel I ate a bit too much. I'm trying to lower my portions as that seemed to work for me last week.

I've got a company party tonight with food and drink so really hoping there is something I can eat!

They are delicious Wine I basically stole the flavours and ingredients from this recipe and made it into a burger. I just omit the port and balsamic and just use normal vinegar. The creme fraiche dipping sauce is really nice on them too.

Hi, hope you are having a good week!
Been a bit stuck for ideas- food wise but you've given me inspiration! Will plan to do the fathead pizza tomorrow, just need the almond flour. Homemade coleslaw sounds great, I think I have all the ingredients to make that tonight.

All of these goals are making me motivated to keep pushing on! My goal is to finally wear something cropped, like a cropped jacket or a top that comes to the hip.I don't wear them because I feel it draws too much attention to where I have piled on the weight. So looking forward to Jean shopping, that will be much easier! Smile.

Similar to trash would like to lose 2 stones by september, koko then reach my goal by summer and try and maintain it.

Ramadhan started so struggling a bit with the water intake. I think I had 2.5 litres of water last night, will try to reach 3l tonight. Erm been trying to make a non grain porridge, that I could have in the morning , best version is a sort of carrot halva inspired porridge with coconut and paneer instead of oats.

Anyway this is what I had today:
B: 1/2 avocado, cucumber, tomato, spinach in olive oil/ lime dressing, mayo and toasted nuts on top. 1l of water
D: 2 dates
1l of water
Something with mushrooms, coleslaw and meat? Mexican maybe.
Snacks: double cream, frozen blueberries, ff yoghurt and Coconut.

Will try to weigh before I start the next fast.

Hi five saranghae and hats off to you for managing Ramadan fasting whilst staying lc.

I'm back down a pound this morning so going to really push the four litres of cider vinegar water. I've also bought some decaf lavazza coffee. I enjoy the taste of the bullet proof coffee more than any other bullet proof drinks, but the timing of it is difficult sometimes with regard to the caffeine. I need to drink them at least twice daily, it really impacts on my loss in a good way. Fingers crossed this will work.... But does anyone know, how caffeine free decaf really is? I'd love it to be zero.

On that note, I had a caffeinated one this morning, and for lunch I've just eaten a little gem, quartered and dressed in oil and cider vinegar, a few green olives and four slices of Morrisons Bavarian smoked ham. It's very thin and lovely with mayonnaise spread on and rolled up. Perfect texture and flavour. I must admit I've been shopping there more often cos the match and more scheme means I get about ten quid a week in vouchers. They have really nice rollmops in the polish food section too.

Dinner is just me on my own today Grin Dp away on a surfing break and dcs gone to there dads for the night. Bliss. I'm having slow cooked brisket with aubergine and kale.

big respect to you sara I'm rather in awe of anyone fasting for such long days. What was your coconut / carrot porridge like?

StoneFox and WineCheese portion size is such a tricky balance isn't it? Too small and snacking can creep in, too big and there's the worry that it's impeding loss. I take the attitude that too much of a good thing is bloody marvellous. In other words, if I know what I'm eating is really clean (i.e. unprocessed) and LCHF I'm not shy about having a big portion of it.

well leaving dinner last night was fine, turned down the champagne, had a canape which was ham rolled around goats cheese and baked - lovely, might have to make some of these - for mains I had rack of lamb and got extra veg instead of sweet potato puree, no dessert even though I really wanted to as knew not only would it sabotage weight loss it would also give me a hangover, camomile tea

Is it possible to eat too much fat? I think it might have made me sick.

Felt fine before hand - had a BPC for breakfast, pork belly in chilli powder for lunch. I cooked cauli rice in the fat from the pork to have with it but then didn't fancy it. Had another BPC in the afternoon and then the cauli rice at dinner and a few tiny bits of chicken thigh / skin with the olive oil/chicken fat poured over. It was delicious but very rich then bam about an hour ago nausea and then I was very sick. Felt a lot better after. Have had 4+ litres water today.

Ewan yes, I'm still finding my feet with portion sizes. I made a 3 egg omelette with so many mushrooms and so much butter and a bit of cheese and I could barely move, it made me feel quite ill and it really didn't look big at all. Suffice to say, next time it was a 2 egg omelette. But I am greedy so totally agree with you on allowing a really decent amount within the parameters of the rules.

Too much fat is quite nauseating, I find it helps to stop before you feel properly full as the full feeling just keeps on increasing when you are eating hf quantities.

Romeyroo · 25/06/2015 08:16

gcalske, I think it is different for everyone. I get the point about not putting your body into starvation mode when you are fat burning therefore not eating too little fat, but there is probably a balance between that and eating too much. I have no idea what my macros are, I tend now to go on the general principles of BC and then, within that, tweak as I go along. So I have been stalled by both eating too much and eating too little, and generally I go now on 'what do I feel like eating?' - not because I think I should be eating something - but within BC allowed foods, if that makes sense.

I ate nuts the other day which I had not done since Christmas and ping - back up a pound.

I hope you are feeling betterFlowers

Though I am pleased to say I was back down a pound this am, so no more nuts!

Romey thanks for the nuts reminder, it has made me think about just how many I have been mindlessly popping into my gob as I tit about in my kitchen. I have to have them for my meat-refusing ds but maybe I'll put them in a high cupboard so I think before I eat!

It was a bit of an odd evening yesterday food-wise for me. I was at a work do and all the options were Carb heavy as expected. They looked lovely too. I ended up eating 2 sausages by themselves (looking a bit odd no doubt) and then eating just the meat and cheese of a burger on the way home! I felt quite wasteful throwing away the bun and the chips that came with it but it was the best option in the station and I had to eat before my long journey home. Definitely didn't have enough water though.

I hope I made the best of a difficult situation anyway and will try and cut back on the processed meat over the next few days to compensate a bit.

Being part of this group has really improved my will power, I thought going and getting weighed at a WW/SW group was the only way to keep me motivated and on track but definitely not the case!

Went shopping yesterday and astounded myself by fitting into size 14 trousers - I knew I had lost weight and changed shape but really didn't think it was enough to have dropped a dress size - very pleased and will use it as motivation to KOKO; no point buying new clothes if I won't be able to fit into them by falling off the wagon!

Yesterday's food:

B - coyo, ff greek and berries
L - goats cheese salad, lots of dressing
D - creamy 'pasta' sauce of prawn, asparagus, smoked salmon, shallots and cream, served with penne-sized chunks of courgette. Really tasty!

Today's food:
B - coyo, ff greek and berries
L - smoked salmon, prawn, hb egg salad with watercress and oily dressing
D - pickings from the fridge; DH is out so I will probably concoct a weird combination of LC options that I can find in the fridge and cupboards

Don't think I drank enough yesterday so am making up for it today!
