Hello everyone. Smile I'm starting this week's thread as BIWI's away and Sayra's internet connection is a bit unreliable.

Here is the The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness.

Here is the weight tracker.

So firstly, a massive WELL DONE! for surviving the first fortnight. You now have the option of moving to Bootcamp Light, which means that you can introduce low carb fruits (berries, basically - raspberries, strawberries, red and blackcurrants) and nuts to your diet. Be careful though, as this can add a lot of carbs. Nuts, especially, can be very moreish. Some people stay longer on Bootcamp proper, some do Bootcamp Light at weekends and drink wine. I'm sure BIWI will be along when she gets the chance, to give you all some pointers.

Good luck with the weigh in, everyone, and please remember that weight loss is not a linear thing. Don't be discouraged if you haven't seen as much of a loss as you'd like - just KOKO and The Whoosh Fairy will visit you, whisking away a sudden whoosh of weight. Wink

Where are the BClite rules located? I wanted to continue on in BC for a while longer but I worry the more restrictive I am, the more likely I am to crumble and fall off the wagon.

I think I need to visualise BIWI and her stick every time I enter the kitchen!

shebedee · 26/05/2015 14:43

Hi Pata
I think the most comprehensive list of rules for the BC and BC lite are on the webpage in MM. Try this link

Thank you Gcalgske, I'll steer clear of the amaretto one! Don't think it will the best thing to drink before work.. the nearest waitrose is miles away unfortunately, going to track down a store so I can buy coyo yoghurt! Grin.

*Hissy - I think it would be near the flour/baking material or the gluten free section in the supermarket. I looked at the tesco website and they do sell coconut flour. Not sure if it is in store. You can probably find it in Holland and Barrett. Hope that helps Smile

Patapouf · 26/05/2015 15:24

Thanks Shebedee

LexLoofah · 26/05/2015 15:50

Tetley hope your viewing goes well, if nothing else your DCs will benefit with all that Latin1 We have one after work so fingers crossed they are 'the ones'.

Went for blood test this morning so could not have anything to eat beforehand, pre-BC that would have been a challenge to leave the house without breakfast but now it was fine. Went to a cafe afterwards and had 2 poached eggs, asparagus, smoked salmon & hollandaise + a cuppa.

Tetley650 · 26/05/2015 15:51

patapouf - I was just about to go off message biwi post pops up and I head for a glass of water!! Hehe!!

Tetley650 · 26/05/2015 15:55

Thanks lex another one tomorrow - I hate cleaning but with 3 dogs no choice! Ds has already decided that he won't be doing Latin again!!
I saw a recipe for a coating of psyllium husk powder - has anyone tried that. Has the benefit no doubt of moving things along!

tutorproof · 26/05/2015 16:27

I've also put on 2lbs.

However I ate out a couple of times last week and although I tried to stick to the rules, it wasn't strictly boot camp.

I'm still not drinking enough water and haven't been to the loo for days Shock

Am going to do my best this week, even though half term is hard.

However I do FEEL much better. I have a lot more energy and genuinely not hungry or craving snacks. I am naturally a nervous, twitchy snacker so the has been a bit of a revelation.

I'm hoping one good poo and I'll lose loads this week. Grin

minibmw2010 · 26/05/2015 16:31

Just back from a lovely weeks holiday with the inlaws. I actually managed to eat almost fully LC every day as there was lots of salad and fish involved, I made sure I had lots of oily avocado and mozzarella salad with them. Ruined it today with a McDonald's after we landed, but have done a shop for a proper LC dinner. Will weigh to see what the damage is tomorrow.

mummyto3under4 · 26/05/2015 16:55

Ive put on 3 I think it's the dairy
What do the dairy free campers use to replace cream for creamy sauses and cheese the dairy free cheese is full of starch so cannot eat that. Today I really really miss chocolate :(

Gcalgske · 26/05/2015 17:00

Hissy do you have a home bargains? They do big bags for 79p

Gcalgske · 26/05/2015 17:02

To clarify that's the pork scratchings - coconut flour is a touch pricier Grin

Gcalgske · 26/05/2015 17:08

My local tesco has coconut flour in the nutricentre concession (it's quite a small tesco so it's just a few shelves) or try a health food shop.

Gcalgske · 26/05/2015 17:14

I'm not dairy free on BC but my daughter has cmpa so I'm used to cooking without dairy. My favourite 'creamy' sauce is peeled courgette cooked in a little flavourless coconut oil or light olive until soft but not coloured then processed until smooth with a little almond milk, stock or water.

Tetley650 · 26/05/2015 17:28

Costco sells coconut flour and oil - who'd have thought

Hangonaminutewillyou · 26/05/2015 17:57

quick question for the BC experts....chopped tomatoes in sauce...is this to be avoided or just used in small quantities? I've seen tomatoes are 3.1g carb per 100g so as they are just over the 3g we're aiming for I assume we should use them with caution but so many sauces need chopped toms! let me know what you think. thanks

Fatstacks · 26/05/2015 17:57

Blimey I'm ravenous today too Sad

Can't seem to fill myself up.

Tetley650 · 26/05/2015 18:04

Good luck lex hope they are the 'ones' ??

Gcalgske · 26/05/2015 18:11

Tinned toms are good but use with caution. A can is 12.4g carbs (plus depends on brand) so be careful-it soon mounts up. I tend to have something very low carb for lunch if I'm doing a tomato based dinner.

LexLoofah · 26/05/2015 18:29

thanks Tetley, for me the most inconvenient aspect is cooking as try to avoid hot food beforehand in case any aroma is still lingering and also to keep mess down in the kitchen plus when they have gone it always seems to be meal time right away so you are left with no time to cook something - so making use of the slow cooker today as my cunning plan

L - lettuce, hm mayo, celery, cucumber, 4 slices of pastrami spread with butter and rolled around stick of dill pickle - it is persisting down here, wish I had brought soup instead

D - will be Korean beef short ribs that I popped in the slow cooker this morning - the marinade/sauce has a pear in it but it serves at least 6 and I won't eat much of the sauce so hope that will be OK. not sure what to have them with, perhaps just buttered broccoli

ewanhoozami · 26/05/2015 18:33

just flying in for a weight-and-meal shout.

STS this week, but last week was a flying start, plus I've started working out with weights so obvs I've lost loads of fat and put on muscle after precisely one body pump sesh. Right? Grin

Today:

B - 3 ghee-fried eggs on spinach
L - avocado and salami salad
D - chilli and ginger fried salmon with warm Asian sprout and sesame slaw (won't add OJ)

Bloody loads of water.

Catch up after dinner

Hangonaminutewillyou · 26/05/2015 19:14

ok thanks [Gcalgske] I will follow your lead on that, sounds very sensible!

Hangonaminutewillyou · 26/05/2015 19:15

sorry that was supposed to be Gcalgske! still getting the hang of this chat stuff!

Ellesbelles04 · 26/05/2015 19:25

I'm really struggling with my workout routine- what would have been moderately difficult (but I could always finish) pre-boot camp, has now become so hard!! I feel so much more tired when running, any thoughts? Not enough energy before working out? What pre-gym snack would you suggest. I'm still sticking to full BC rules.

Today

Breakfast: smoked salmon, full fat cream cheese and spinach
Lunch: roast chicken salad with oily dressing and chopped olives and cucumber
Snack: small cheese and celery
Dinner: butter fried mushrooms, lamb chops (with fat on) and lots of leeks

I may venture to waitrose tomorrow to try coyo for the first time. Also cauliflower rice is so delicious- tried it last night and hubby and I Loved it!

Romeyroo · 26/05/2015 19:37

Hi everyone

Lotus, yes I could do without milk. I buy DC Lactofree which I am allergic to, so I am just buying for me anyway.

Still yuk here, beginning to look pregnant! Ditching everything not on the low FODMAP list and drinking peppermint tea as I type. Serves me right, knowing all my food issues, you would think I would know better than to add three new veg types in a week. Plus chai which is also apparently not ideal - no wonder my digestive system is complaining.

On the plus side I managed to get through day of meetings with no hunger pangs.

B was one sausage cold with spinach leaves
L was chicken slices, mayonnaise and salad leaves
D was omelette with more spinach, some flaxseed added and some courgette sliced

Apologies for flying by and just posting meals; I am having one of those days where I will be in bed by half eight, am worn out
