The inbetween BC BC for those who didn't do as well as they should on the real BC

SayraT · 06/04/2015 18:41

Ok, some of us (me) didn't do very well on the real actual BC and some others just feel the need to have a little extra push before the next real BC so this is our inbetween BC BC Grin

I'll start, I'm currently 222 lb and want to be 217 lb by the start of the real BC (11th May). I will be recording my food daily to keep on track, I am also going to weigh daily.

Food

B: Flax wrap with butter, coffee with cream
L: M&S salad, ff yog
S: S&V peanuts (none left now so I'll have normal nuts or none at all)
D: Cauli-rice with hot smoked salmon

Breakfast before 12noon, this is a start Grin
2 scrambled eggs in butter, 2 pieces of bacon
Lunch will be a salad
Tea is roast pork and veg - the Dmum is clearing out the freezer atm so there is a lot of eating at her house, which is fab in half term and she has got her head around the low carb (she personally still eats all the cardboard carby stuff but my choices are respected)

Only down side is my sleep is still awful and I have popped my shoulder so coffee and painkillers are not going to aid weight loss. But I will just have to suck that up wont I Grin it is a work in progress

minibmw2010 I have lucy bee coconut oil which i bought online, ive not seen it in any shops. But i live in central london and most TEsco/Sainsbos are v small. YOu might find it in a health food shop. But it is expensive.

Ooh - a quick google suggests they do stock it in SAinsbos AND TEscos but presumably only the larger ones. Well it's lunchtime and I'm still waiting to feel hungry. I've been out and about this morning with work, in and out of the car, up and down lots of stairs. All the usual stuff. I am now sat in my office waiting to feel hungry enough for lunch. Most odd. I would normally be raving mad with hunger by now and probably wouldn't have made until this time without eating.

I don't have to count carbs, do I? I'm just following the Bootcamp Rules. Anyway:

B - 2 rashers of streaky bacon, kale wilted in butter and bacon fat and then 2 eggs scrambled in, 1/2 tomato, 1/2 avocado. 1/2 a cup of tea and water.

1L of water so far. Onto my 2nd now.

Actually looking at my breakfast written down I'm not surprised I'm not hungry! But I always eat alot for breakfast. The only difference today is high fat and low carb.

L - Will be leftover Butter Chicken Curry, cauli rice, kale and broccoli.

D - Not sure yet. Might get the BBQ out!

trashcanjunkie · 09/04/2015 12:42

I use either butter, lard, olive or occasionally sunflower oil.

So, finally braved the scales this morning, and I'm 106.8 kg. I'm going to daily weigh, as for me it's a real good motivator. If nobody minds I'll post it here.

We ate the leftover celeriac/swede cottage pie for breakfast yesterday, with mayo. I use hellmans, and we go through a large jar a week here. I ate some salaminis with egg mayo for lunch, and dinner was black farmers daughter chipolatas with leftover cel/swede mash. Really mindful of portion sizes, and did 3.5ltres of water/tea.

We were gonna go to the climbing wall, but dp felt a bit poorly, and I do a bit today. Nothing drastic. Could be carb flu, but the student had similar symptoms a few days ago, so we reckon it's a low level three day lurgy. Have got virus eyes and bit sore throat.

Had an excellent breakfast this morning. Scrambled eggs with double cream and smoked salmon, half an avocado, and a spoonful of cottage cheese. Drizzled olive oil on my avocado, plus salt n pepper on everything. Cooked the scrambled egg in lard. It was so silky.

Went food shopping yesterday, and all the bloody fridges were off in lidl, so bought half there then went to asda, and got the cold stuff. Boring. But fridge is groaning with lc goods, so job's a good un.

Baddz · 09/04/2015 13:16

Well I had a latte Smile
The normal coffee was rank Confused
But I haven't had lunch yet and tbh dont really feel hungry...
Still planning ham salad for tea
Think my carb count will be about 30g - is that ok?
I did wonder about rice but yes obv it's a carb Smile
So far today it's been;
Herbal tea
Water
Scrambled eggs in butter
Latte Shock
cocktail sausages as a snack
That's it.

PlayNice · 09/04/2015 13:16

Does anyone else find themselves sabotaging attempts to walk more by buying so much stuff on the walk that you're forced into getting the bus home Grin?

Baddz · 09/04/2015 13:17

Oh should have said on the scales this morning I am 68 kg
I would like to be 60 kg

PlayNice · 09/04/2015 13:18

Mmm, I'd forgotten how much I like cottage cheese, trashcan. Maybe I'll switch out halloumi for cottage cheese next week. It does rather lend itself to being eaten from the tub.

minibmw2010 · 09/04/2015 13:24

Just had a lovely salad of salad leaves, one avocado, one grilled chicken breast but it had the skin on, a dollop of Hellmans Full Fat Mayo and drizzled in some Sesame Oil. Does that sound OK? Is there enough fat in that? It was delicious ??

BabsUnited · 09/04/2015 14:08

Same as me trashcanjunkie - it's 2pm and I'm still not hungry despite doing a spin class at the gym. I had a small slice of edam before I left and I sweated buckets (sorry!). Might have my lunch in half hour or so.

Also trashcanjunkie do you have the recipe for the butter chicken curry? Fancy that tonight maybe if its easy

LexLoofah · 09/04/2015 14:48

fatstacks OMG kippers! I used to live in the Isle of Man, best kippers ever, really miss them, can't get them here. Sorry you were disappointed at the freezer but admit the thought of an iron bru lolly was pretty funny!

So DH is dreaming of being a SAHD but not doing well at convincing me on his week off as when I got home last night the house was tip, the DCs had not been fed and there was nothing prepared for our dinner! He did cook in the end and it was lovely but probably not high enough fat (shrimp, shirataki, tomato pesto & bok choi). have left him with instructions for slow cooker butter chicken & oven roasted cauli rice for tonight plus a list of jobs to do!

DramaAlpaca · 09/04/2015 14:57

So today so far I've eaten.

B: Protein shake & bulletproof tea (I know, I know, but it's the Easter hols & I got up late again & if I'd cooked I'd've been late for work)
L: Salad leaves with dressing and a cold sausage, half an avocado, a hard boiled egg & lots of lovely curry mayonnaise.
D: Not sure yet, probably something with chicken.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 09/04/2015 15:51

Dh took the kids to mcds while i was being tattooed, so my quick lunch when we got in was avocado, cheese, pine nuts and olives in hm mayo. Very nice :)

beerbelly · 09/04/2015 15:55

Ooh, please can I join you? I am visiting my skinny sister in Paris on May 1st (when I will NOT be watching what I eat and drink) so want to try to lose weight between now and then. I have never been a dieter, but like the science of this one. And I like cheese. I am currently 11st 11lb (5ft 7in), and want to lose at least half a stone before Paris, then do the diet again to get to 11st at some point before August.

I seem to be OK so far - not been too tempted by all the kids Easter eggs. Mainly because the high fat element leaves me feeling a bit bilious....

Today's menu...

B: Bacon and egg
L: Bolognese, cheese and spinach (but no spaghetti obviously!)
D: Will probably have same as lunch if I am hungry. If not, an avocado.

HemanOrSheRa · 09/04/2015 16:47

Babs I've attached a photo of the butter chicken recipe. Can you see it ok? If not I'll type it out but I'm on my phone so it may take some time.....Grin

BabsUnited · 09/04/2015 16:58

Ah thanks Heman!! I actually did a trawl and found it written out in the recipe thread Grin thank you for taking your picture though Flowers

HemanOrSheRa · 09/04/2015 17:02

No problem!

trashcanjunkie · 09/04/2015 17:27

play I had to resist going back to the bloody fridge and snarfing it from the tub.

babs do you have me muddled with another poster? I don't think I've done the butter chicken... Is it from IPD? I seem to remember another poster may have done.

Right badz I'm going to be harsh here. You've asked about total carbs already, and BIWI has said you need to find your own level. The questions you are asking about rice etc, are on the spreadsheets. Sayra has told you this as well. Those resources didn't just appear. People spent time and effort putting them together, making them available, and posting links to help you find them. It's coming across that you haven't gone and looked at them. Asking questions is fine, but what you're doing is a bit more than that. It feels like you are getting other posters to do the thinking for you. We all have limited time and energy to a) do this for ourselves, and b) help and support each other. Asking such basic questions (more than once in your case) is a waste of our time and yours. Please go and read up on the rules of boot camp, and the the veg carb counter. In the boot camp section, there's also an entire thread devoted to questions.

Baddz · 09/04/2015 17:32

Trashcan...fair enough.
Point taken.
I wont be back.
Thanks to all those who have been patient and answered my questions x

trashcanjunkie · 09/04/2015 17:39

baddz don't flounce, you are very welcome here. Read up, and keep on keeping on.

babygiraffe86 · 09/04/2015 17:52

Just had tea - dp actually said mine looked better than his haha :-)

Had a homemade lamb and mint burger, coleslaw, cauliflower cheese and accidentally had 4 sweet potato wedges (made them for dp but stole some while plating them up oops)
Onto 3rd litre of water, and a spoonful of longley farm cottage cheese while tea was cooking And a handful of walnuts when I got a but peckish at work, don't think I'm getting hungry but I seem to look at the clock come 3pm and feel like I have 2 snack on something, I quit smoking 3 years ago and replaced my afternoon cigarette with a packet of crisps so now need to break that habit too :-(
now I'm thinking about the things I'm eating it's actually a lot easier to reduce the carbs and sugar - I was so easily putting away a large white bread bun and other starchy stuff every day just for Convenience.

just making tomorrows lunch, crispy bacon and egg mayonnaise with lettuce cucumber and picolo tomatoes :-)
