The inbetween BC BC for those who didn't do as well as they should on the real BC

SayraT · 06/04/2015 18:41

Ok, some of us (me) didn't do very well on the real actual BC and some others just feel the need to have a little extra push before the next real BC so this is our inbetween BC BC Grin

I'll start, I'm currently 222 lb and want to be 217 lb by the start of the real BC (11th May). I will be recording my food daily to keep on track, I am also going to weigh daily.

Food

B: Flax wrap with butter, coffee with cream
L: M&S salad, ff yog
S: S&V peanuts (none left now so I'll have normal nuts or none at all)
D: Cauli-rice with hot smoked salmon

B: two scrambled eggs, one celery stick with pate
L: beef teriyaki (fairly dry with only a tiny amount of the source), one slice ham, one slice cheese, two more celery and pates
D: chicken thigh roasted with skin, broccoli with butter, and mushrooms and cream sauce.

Btw whoever said about that extra thick cream from tesco - ShockGrinBlush

Romey it's so pervasive isn't it? Up until January I was one of the sheep mindlessly and misguidedly (but well intentioned) giving kids lots of cereal, DS especially can't get enough would have for supper as well as breakfast and a huge bowlful too. Not what we think of as the 'sugary crap' kind but the wholesome whole wheat organic kind which is no better is it?

Have told them it will be a once a week thing from now on. Yogurt, nuts & berries or eggs the rest of the time with the odd bit of toast or porridge. I know they don't need to cut carbs but it doesn't do any harm to get into different habits now and just read 'Wheatbelly' and that alone was enough to make me want to cut it from their diets.

BerylStreep · 21/04/2015 21:51

Just checking in.

Thoughts with everyone who has had bad news.

BerylStreep · 21/04/2015 21:55

Have randomly turned over the TV to hear a narrator saying, yes, these people will visit other sheep shearing and cunt shearing countries. Shock

I think it was a blip in the soundtrack.

DarkEvilMoon · 21/04/2015 23:33

That seems almost worst because I have to confess I often misread your name as BerylSheep when I am tired. I am not even going to ask what you were watching beryl

Odd thing since physio worked on my shoulder, the muffin top that was really making me down has almost gone Confused Guess my posture must have been shot or something?

Food:
Breakfast - 2 eggs scrambled
Lunch - late lunch as accidentally fell asleep - 1 slice corn beef, some brie
tea - chicken, cauli and broccoli
stressed eating - i finished the brie Blush this is why i don't generally buy it!
3 cups of coffee, 3 ltrs of water

not a bad day in the grand scheme of things. progress in the right direction.

Gcalgske · 21/04/2015 23:46

Had dinner out at a pub, burger - no bun, fried mushrooms, salad and coleslaw provided by chef instead of bun/ chips. Coleslaw was weirdly (but good for me as I didn't have to pick most of it out to avoid carbs) without carrot or onion so was just really cabbage and Mayo with cream. Was tasty. They had asparagus wrapped in Parma ham with hm hollandaise on the menu but had run out (sob, wail etc)

Gcalgske · 21/04/2015 23:52

Saw the genius osteopath today who was pleased with my progress. I don't want to jinx anything but feeling quite good atm. Would like to see the scales move but KOKO whoosh fairy please stop here sign firmly planted in the front lawn. Despit no movement in scales since end of last BC have seen some change in clothes size this week (back in old jeans). Osteopath said that my SI joint (which was hyper mobile) was actually difficult to adjust today as there is a strength developing there (which means it shouldng come out of alignment again so quickly) Daily pilates is paying off! Whoo!

DarkEvilMoon · 21/04/2015 23:54

That is fabulous news Gcalgske Well done

Gcalgske · 21/04/2015 23:55

*despite
*shouldn't

Fek fek fek. Proof read woman or they will take your English degree away.

Just read the daily fail 'article'. Sugar has a lot of money behind it.

Gcalgske · 21/04/2015 23:58

Dark my shape has changed a lot with physio and pilates smoothing out the dip in the base of my back. I have a huge butt still but the 'bum shelf' at the back has gone. It's amazing how much posture affects your shape.

sassandfaff · 22/04/2015 06:59

Sorry babs that was me!

romey thanks for thinking about me. I will sort something soon. I'm put off exercise for the time being as it just makes me eat more.

gcal an English degree- Christ, you must hate me! Wink

Dumdedumdedum · 22/04/2015 07:47

Morning all! I can't believe this, I've lost 8lbs since I started this WoE last Tuesday! And enjoyed food and not felt deprived. Except of wine but will have to get used to that.
Sass, I didn't go looking for linseeds but found some Psyllium husk caps left over from the last time I went to see a nutritionist (who scared me to death but didn't help me find a woe that encouraged me to lose weight like this one is). Two daily in the morning, seems to have done the trick. (Sorry if TMI!) Also, Stuntnun, I found an old container of A Vogel's Herbamare low potassium salt lurking in the kitchen. It is recommended by Swiss nutritionists for people with high BP, so I'll go back to using that. Sure there must be some magnesium somewhere round..
Have a good day, everyone Grin And thanks again to all of you for your support Flowers Flowers Flowers Flowers FlowersFlowers

BIWI · 22/04/2015 08:13

That's fab Dumdedumdedum Star

(Just make sure that you're prepared for the fact that you won't lose 8lbs every week!)

sassandfaff · 22/04/2015 08:23

Well done dum on both counts! Grin

Gcalgske · 22/04/2015 08:23

Thanks dark Grin
sass I managed an English degree despite not the faintest clue about where to use punctuation correctly. My essays used to come back covered in red pen from frustrated lecturers and once with the particularly memorable note 'you have talent but barely understanable, suggest a remedial primary school crash course' still passed Wink. I've tried to learn but I just have a mental block about it so I don't hate you. As long as someone is able to get their point across it's fine by me.

sassandfaff · 22/04/2015 08:28

I not entirely sure I do manage to get my point across sometimes! I suffer from this. I never use to?! Hmm

Fatstacks · 22/04/2015 08:29

Some Flowers for all you lovelies having shitty and stressful times.

Great news G.C. and DumDdd Grin

I've forgiven the scales for being spiteful after Easter and weighed today.
I'm either back at final 182lbs I finished last bc or I'm 94lbs. Confused

I better get new batteries before celebrating!

sassandfaff · 22/04/2015 08:29

Malapropism

I may be shit at English but I am very self aware. Grin

sassandfaff · 22/04/2015 08:32

Again!

I.T isn't a speciality either......

God, it was that long since I did my degree, it almost like I didn't do it.

sassandfaff · 22/04/2015 08:34

Oh fuck it! It has the pigging definition there when I copy the URL.

"an act or habit of misusing words ridiculously, especially by the confusion of words that are similar in sound."

MrsKoala · 22/04/2015 08:51

From what I remember from my English a'level, It's from a character in the play the rivals who was a ridiculous woman always saying the wrong words with hilarious unintended meanings like 'he is a pineapple of respectability' (as opposed to pinnacle).

It's one of my favourite plays, still very funny today. If you get a chance to see it it's well worth it. I saw it with Patricia routledge as mrs malaprop, she was hysterical.

StuntNun · 22/04/2015 08:58

1.5lb down on last week. WOOP! All I had to do was cut the carb creep, eat more fat and drink more water. Those size 12 goal jeans do up now so long as I don't need to breathe or move around at all!

MrsKoala · 22/04/2015 09:09

Well done all. :)

Stunt how is he baby?

Sass, since having dc I have lost the ability to remember which spelling of words to use. Here and hear is my main one. It's annoying because it's undetectable on spell check and it's not till I read something back I think 'that looks wrong but I don't know why'

BabyGiraffeOnIce · 22/04/2015 09:16

Well still steady at 144lbs - but, massive but, 3 inches off my hips in 3 weeks!!!!
just done a butty run for the big bosses at work - and didn't get anything, actually didn't fancy anything! It is a lifestyle change as much as anything!
Dp has decided after our holiday next week he wants to join me on the low carb as he can't believe how well I'm eating yet reducing in siZe.
skin has cleared up wonderfully and I used to have awful heartburn - nothing since cutting out carbs! Wow!

BabyGiraffeOnIce · 22/04/2015 09:16

Haha apologies for all the exclamation marks. I'm excited Smile
