The inbetween BC BC for those who didn't do as well as they should on the real BC

SayraT · 06/04/2015 18:41

Ok, some of us (me) didn't do very well on the real actual BC and some others just feel the need to have a little extra push before the next real BC so this is our inbetween BC BC Grin

I'll start, I'm currently 222 lb and want to be 217 lb by the start of the real BC (11th May). I will be recording my food daily to keep on track, I am also going to weigh daily.

Food

B: Flax wrap with butter, coffee with cream
L: M&S salad, ff yog
S: S&V peanuts (none left now so I'll have normal nuts or none at all)
D: Cauli-rice with hot smoked salmon

sassandfaff · 18/04/2015 12:38

But love them and the idea.

MrsKoala · 18/04/2015 12:44

sassandfaff · 18/04/2015 12:47

Blush Thanks

BabsUnited · 18/04/2015 13:36

Thanks for app suggestion!

Also amazed with how much energy I have atm. Day off with DS yesterday and I got so much done, unheard of amounts. Dh was impressed!

BabsUnited · 18/04/2015 13:37

ready on the app there's three dots on the right, next to each post, press that and there's the bookmark option.

DramaAlpaca · 18/04/2015 15:08

Lots of energy here, too. Did a long day at work yesterday and then took the dog for a nice hilly walk in the evening. Normally I flop on the couch and have a little snooze.

Gcalgske · 18/04/2015 15:20

I'm having a good day :)
B: 1 bacon 1 egg fried in olive oil
L: smoked mackerel (best part of a packet shared with dd) tomato and cucumber with lemon juice squeezed over

Gcalgske · 18/04/2015 16:01

BPC too at breakfast. Good day but still ditsy.

babygiraffe86 · 18/04/2015 17:03

10k step's done already - car was booked in for its mot and instead of getting bus home I walked the 4.5 miles - feels great!
chicken leg with skin on marinated in garlic with mushroom cream sauce for lunch, stuffed But I know it will be a late tea tonight as dp is footballing until about 7pm.
Have a wonderful weight loss weekend ladies

DramaAlpaca · 18/04/2015 18:45

Went for a long walk with DH & the dog, and I even jogged for a bit of it. Go me!

Dinner tonight will be Thai Meatballs with salad.

LexLoofah · 18/04/2015 19:26

Hello all, nice quiet day here after a busy week, just had a swim with the DCs

B- 2 lc chipolatas, mushrooms in bacon fat, 2 eggs fried in butter, 2 cups of tea
l - cauli pizza with pepperoni, salad, hm mayo, cuppa

Stuffed now, that will probably be it for the day if the last few days are anything to go by

Off to check out irregular choice, never heard of them, have lots to learn and catch up on when we move back, hope they do small sizes, am a UK 3 - the only petite part of me at the moment !

Preminstreltension · 18/04/2015 19:30

B ham rolled around Philadelphia
L three scrambled eggs, two low carb sausages, two rashers of bacon

Not hungry now but will probably have some port salut and some salad. Realise too much processed meat today and hardly any veg but have better meals planned for tomorrow.

About 3l of water.

trashcanjunkie · 18/04/2015 19:48

Had cray fish and mayo fr lunch, but dinner has gone completely awry. I'm usually very confident at stipulating my food needs, but this one has blindsided me. There's a language barrier and I can't explain I don't eat x or y so was presented with a pitta bread and lentils for dinner, with a tiny lamb chop. How many carbs are in that? plus the frigging wine last night it makes no bloody difference but I'd love to know. Gut feels shocking right now.

Romeyroo · 18/04/2015 20:08

Hmm, lentils and lamb chop you probably will survive, not sure about the pita bread though trash

Things still a bit chaotic here food wise, down a lb today but more by luck than design, I seem to be all over the place at the moment

B coconut milk, soya yogurt, flaxseed mixed
L three hb eggs, cheese chunks, cucumber
D cucumber lettuce sausage and mayonnaise

S dark choc square and soya latte as out all day with DD, ice skating and shopping for a trip she is doing and flagging by 4pm

About to have a cup of tea and tackle some ironing

Romeyroo · 18/04/2015 20:14

Random self-indulgent question - does your middle change after having DC? I don't mean your tummy but from the back. I used to have a waist so I kind of went in at the back where it was.
Right now looking at myself in lovely Hmm three way changing room mirrors my back - hips - waist area look square. How do I get rid of square!?! Is this fat which will get used up in ketosis; do I need to exercise; is it just an inevitable result of having DC?!?
Not really expecting an answer - just looking at my back view in the shops, it is kind of a square on legsHmm

StuntNun · 18/04/2015 20:21

DH made Thai green curry for dinner and put three tablespoons of sugar into it. He really doesn't get this low carb concept does he? It was sickeningly sweet. I've no idea where he got the recipe from, I usually just use curry paste and coconut milk when I make it.

Gcalgske · 18/04/2015 20:38

Ugh stunt what a waste of a good curry. I had Tom yum soup made with paste, coconut milk and low carb veg / prawns. Paste is 15g/100g but I only used 40g in a pot for 4 so that's 1.5g per serving from paste plus veg. It was blooming lovely.

nappyaddict · 18/04/2015 20:39

BIWI

Is this ok from the Indian takeaway?

Chicken tikka stuffed pepper
Lamb tikka
Paneer tikka (cheese)
Saag bhajee

nappyaddict · 18/04/2015 20:47

LexLoofah what recipe do you use for jerk chicken and caesar salad? do you make your own ceasar dressing?

BabsUnited · 18/04/2015 21:56

Food diary for today:

B: two bits celery with pate
L: Parma ham and Brie
D: 3 egg omelet with mushrooms, shallot, courgette, bacon, all done in butter and oil
S: half an avocado wrapped in ham slices
Water not great but been out and about today and I have a v weak bladder so can't risk being far from toilets and needing to go 15 times in one afternoon like on Thursday Blush

trashcanjunkie · 18/04/2015 22:13

Aargh Christ I know romey I will just have to draw a line under it, and next time I work overnight I'm gonna bring my dinner from home. The family are Sudanese, and it definitely is a case of me being too chicken to refuse food on the grounds of being offensive. She's talking about making falafel, which I wouldn't eat anyway cos it'll render me fart tastic. I'm trying to explain the rules of bc but it's not going in.

Romeyroo · 18/04/2015 22:23

I think sometimes a pragmatic approach is the way forward - the world will still turn even with a bit of pita bread and if your host is Sudanese, then I think it is an opportunity to sample a different cuisine home made (a good opportunity I think). At least she is not offering you pie and chipsGrin. If it were me, I'd enjoy the falafel and then get back on the wagon (wind notwithstanding of course)

LaiLoo · 18/04/2015 23:16

Dum Im actually in the very North Wales area which is predominately Welsh speaking , Welsh language schools, etc. Cardiff is about four hours from me by car. I have been in Wales for about 30 years.

Im still doing well. Its been a week now which I have never managed to do before. Im taking it day by day but not doing full bootcamp at the moment as I don't want to scare myself off (haha!)
Thank you to everyone for being here and thanks to BIWI for telling me to come over to the thread even though I wasn't doing full bootcamp. Smile

LexLoofah · 19/04/2015 02:04

nappy the jerk chicken I had was eating out but I do make my own Caesar dressing as make mayo then add garlic, lemon juice, worcertershire sauce and anchovy paste - not sure if that is true to the original, I think it might have Parmesan in it but i just sprinkle on top or don't bother, it's just a change to mayo really but I have to say homemade mayo is a zillion times better than bought, not just for carbs or quality of oil ( most seem to have soybean and/or canola which I do not want) but for texture and taste, I can manage to eat more of homemade than bought which is great for upping the fat of a lot of meals
