The inbetween BC BC for those who didn't do as well as they should on the real BC

SayraT · 06/04/2015 18:41

Ok, some of us (me) didn't do very well on the real actual BC and some others just feel the need to have a little extra push before the next real BC so this is our inbetween BC BC Grin

I'll start, I'm currently 222 lb and want to be 217 lb by the start of the real BC (11th May). I will be recording my food daily to keep on track, I am also going to weigh daily.

Food

B: Flax wrap with butter, coffee with cream
L: M&S salad, ff yog
S: S&V peanuts (none left now so I'll have normal nuts or none at all)
D: Cauli-rice with hot smoked salmon

Actually not exactly!

MrsKoala · 17/04/2015 11:05

Flowers Beer - I have also been a bit pissed off at times with BIWI telling me where i'm going wrong (sorry BIWI Blush ), but i think that's more because i know she's right and i hate being told off! even when i deserve it Grin BIWI does really know what she's talking about and is generously trying to help us all and for that i am very grateful.

I have had a marriage breakup and i am not exaggerating when i say it nearly killed me. I spent 3 years in emotional hell. So try to be kind to yourself. It's so hard at the moment for you.

Sass - I very much like the colour of your new top. Grin

DarkEvilMoon · 17/04/2015 11:07

I haven't strapped it as gentle movement is less painful than still, but it is painful enough that a full cup of coffee is on the heavy side even with pain killers so there is enough warning to keep me from doing anything stupid. Muscles are spasming around the shoulder so hot water bottles are helping to soothe it. I suspect that it is tight muscles pulling the shoulder out of allignment as that is normally what happens with my joints so have been just taking that normal route of hot and gentle movement. It is probably going to be a case of muscles being released and on going exercise to stabilise the joint. Gotta love physio exercises Wink

sassandfaff · 17/04/2015 11:15

Ha. mrsk a diplomat in the making. Wink

Right, I bought a chilled chicken yesterday about 4pm and just realised I forgot to put it in the fridge or freezer. I haven't had the heating on and it feels fairly cold. Chuck out or not?

I am a bit meh about all the health rules, and I googled once about cream and found that it actually keeps 2 weeks longer than they tell you it does. But I'm thinking chicken is too much of a risk?

HemanOrSheRa · 17/04/2015 11:17

Hip hip hooray for Drama, Babs and MrsK!

Flowers for minstrel and Dark as you are feeling pants.

Extra Flowers for Beer, just because....

And Star for sass! For buying new clothes in the right size!

I am going to be brave and confess my weight I started BC on Weds last week at 11st 8 Blush with a waist of 38". I am now 11st 3 with a waist of 37". I am 5ft 2". So I have lost 5lbs in 10 days. Which is frankly, amazing for me. I have struggled for so long trying to lose weight but always feeling hungry, sometimes painfully so, no matter how much or little I ate.

I can say after 10 days of BC that I'm feeling pretty good Smile. I had one bad day on Weds but in hindsight I think that was due to other things - DS is ill and DP is being a special kind of arse at the moment Angry and I was utterly exhausted.

I am patiently waiting for the day I don't wake up hungry. BUT, BUT I had my dinner last night at 8 pm and then didn't eat anything until a late breakfast at 10 am. 14 hours without food or feeling hungry (until this morning) is amazing for me! I'm still getting to grips with feeling full does NOT mean feeling absolutely stuffed. This is I know, due to years of being told 'fill up with carbs' which I now know from the LCHF sciency stuff, and just by the way I feel now, is absolutely wrong.

I do have one question - despite chugging at least 3L of water every day I am very thirsty and have a dry mouth. Is this normal?

HemanOrSheRa · 17/04/2015 11:23

sore I've just read your post Sad. So sorry Flowers.

DarkEvilMoon · 17/04/2015 11:41

Tbh Sass I would pick the chicken boil it in gravy til it is good and proper and eat with veg. Assuming it was already cooked. If not I would roast it making sure it was on the more than minimum cooked side. But would be careful about tomo. I guess it depends on how it smells. If it smells odd don't risk it. Food poisioning is not worth it.

BIWI · 17/04/2015 12:21

beer I'm sorry that you're in a tough place at the moment.

And you're right, I am a bit schoolmarmy sometimes.

But I have to be.

Herding cats would be easier sometimes Grin

I genuinely didn't mean to upset you, so I'm sorry if I did.

As others have said, it's hard to always get the tone right, and I know it probably pisses loads some people off.

But bear in mind that I'm doing this whilst working (very) full time - sometimes it's too easy to write a quick reply - and then think more about it later.

And I'm always open to being ticked off myself. As has happened many a time across all the Bootcamps!

Sorelip · 17/04/2015 12:25

You are correct Dum, and thank you. Also thank you sass and heman. I'm OK, better than expected to be honest. I have my two boys to concentrate on, and DH has been wonderful.

BIWI · 17/04/2015 12:36

Flowers Sorelip

I'm sorry to hear your news.

MrsKoala · 17/04/2015 12:42

oh Sore, i'm sorry to hear that too. Flowers

LaiLoo · 17/04/2015 12:58

Morning/afternoon.....up very very late today Blush
Preminstraltension sorry you feel sick. Are you a newbie like me?
Beer I'm new too and finding my way around. Sperry about relationship problems. Can it be saved do you think? Thanks

Another pound down for me today, so pleased. Thanks everyone. Enjoying reading your posts Smile

LaiLoo · 17/04/2015 12:58

Sorry......meant to say.

LaiLoo · 17/04/2015 13:00

Sorelip can't be easy but doing this for yourself will give you a boost x

Romeyroo · 17/04/2015 13:09

sorelip, I cross-posted with you earlier, I am sorry for your loss, it is not a nice place to be Flowers

beerbelly · 17/04/2015 13:09

BIWI Thanks for your reply. I wasn't flouncing when I said maybe the board is not for me, just that the strictness of Bootcamp probably didn't suit me - especially at the moment when some nights I REALLY need that glass of wine!

Also, I am only 'just' overweight with a BMI of 25.5 so am not desperate for the weight to drop off quickly - I just want a better (sustainable!) weigh of eating in the hope that I'll be a few pounds lighter by the summer.

I will keep reading the thread, though, as there is lots of useful advice on here. But I promise not to moan about not losing weight!

Thanks all of you for all your kind words. It means a lot to have the kindness of strangers when you feel isolated IRL.

Lailoo We are working on it... I don't know....

TheHappyCamper · 17/04/2015 13:15

Flowers for sorelip. I have had 2 MC so I know how you feel - it's rubbish x

I'm struggling a bit today (day 14). I could easily have fallen off the wagon if it wasn't for the support on this thread. I'm not sure why - I'm wanting bread but have not cracked! I'm actually baking some cottage cheese oopsie roll things for tomorrow. And I put a lb back on but I don't know why

Anyway, ham, cottage cheese, cucumber and pepper for lunch Smile

giraffe - I'm in Whitby so only 30 miles or so away.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 17/04/2015 13:21

It's my six month LC anniversary today. Gone in a flash.
Wow, I've only been gone a day and lots has gone on. Some sad news on here Flowers for those people. Life is very, very stressful at times.
Got to love MN for getting it written down, just so you don't bore RL friends 'again'.
Popped into a charity shop today, very rarely have the time and got a lovely dress from Monsoon for £4. It's a size 12 (I'm bordering on 14/16 now) and it's too small, but a next target maybe?

Talking of clothes 10/12 from 2009???? I've got stuff from 1999 in my wardrobe. Just because one day it WILL fit again. I'll never wear it, it's just the principle.

LaiLoo · 17/04/2015 13:33

Beer I'm not posting my food as I am not always strictly bootcamp but I am losing weight. I think BIWI calls it bootcamp light. Im also eating some fruit and dark chocolate but am still losing. Trial and error but I don't eat a lot of food anyway so maybe that helps me.
My marriage broke down ten years ago but I decided I wanted it to work and made it happen. Turned it around and it has been better than before in so many ways ten years on.Smile If I can help or be a listening ear for you, please feel free to PM me Smile

Gcalgske · 17/04/2015 13:45

sore Flowers

Dumdedumdedum · 17/04/2015 13:56

And from me too, Sorelip Flowers Glad to hear you are coping with the support of your DH.

I felt very peckish 3 hours after my lunch and decided to make parmesan crisps to accompany my quick version of guacamole. Yum, yum! Is it all right to do things like that on Bootcamp, though, or should we just stick to 3 meals a day?

Sass we are indeed in a hot country. Just been watching a pair of hoopoes digging for food in the back garden. I love the sun and a fair bit of heat, but wish I could find an interesting and stimulating well-paid job (don't we all, but am less likely to do so as a nearly pensionable Western ex-pat who has been a SAHM for most of the past 20 years Sad) rather than sitting around all day stuffing my face with carbs and booze Blush. I wouldn't mind feeling able to go to the beach without having to wear a tent and doing an impression of a wrinkled beached whale when I try to swim, though!

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 17/04/2015 14:08

:( sore Flowers

My weight seems to be quite stable, so i'm deciding i will stay on bc lite, but no more snacking in the evening. Break the cycle, n'all...

Going camping for a few nights, test out low carb camping before the festival in june Grin

LaiLoo · 17/04/2015 14:08

Where are you Dum?

sassandfaff · 17/04/2015 14:46

dum typed in hoopoes as I had no idea. Possibly thought some small squirrel /mole type creature. Blush

I get deliriously happy, when it's warm enough to wind my windows down in the car! Bloody hate this country's weather.

So, I just did the proper bra measuring recommended on s&b and it suggests 36gg. I currently wear a 38e.

Went out with dd1 to have a try and they don't do that size. Only g cup starts at 38.
However did try on two size 14 dresses. One was a 50's style dress and the other a wrap over bust style maxi dress.

I learnt that
A. I can fit into a 14 dress, but my bust is too big for buttons.
B. A 50's style is to much material in the skirt and makes me look bigger.
C. Maxi's swamp me.
D. Wrap overs on my boobs, make me look mighty fine......

Wrap over tops and dresses it is then.

Grin
Dumdedumdedum · 17/04/2015 15:47

LaiLoo, we're in an ex-pat bubble in the UAE. I am an old Stepford Wife (in my dreams Hmm). Are you also not in the UK?
Sass, they are beautiful birds and a delight to watch.
Am laughing at your remarks about the weather - DD is back on hols from uni in England and went to the beach with friends earlier this week. She was the only one who went swimming as the others said the water was too cold - she, of course, found it wonderful, coming from the comparative cold of England Grin Our temps have gone up past 30 deg C this week, btw. Quite warm for the time of year.
Wow, I dream of fitting into a size 14 dress, even with a button-free bust - congratulations Grin
OK, I can't stop eating now. No high carbs, but still, few veggies Sad
