The inbetween BC BC for those who didn't do as well as they should on the real BC

SayraT · 06/04/2015 18:41

Ok, some of us (me) didn't do very well on the real actual BC and some others just feel the need to have a little extra push before the next real BC so this is our inbetween BC BC Grin

I'll start, I'm currently 222 lb and want to be 217 lb by the start of the real BC (11th May). I will be recording my food daily to keep on track, I am also going to weigh daily.

Food

B: Flax wrap with butter, coffee with cream
L: M&S salad, ff yog
S: S&V peanuts (none left now so I'll have normal nuts or none at all)
D: Cauli-rice with hot smoked salmon

I have to admit I thought bhaji meant the fried ones, I forgot about any flour in it. But, happily, the curry place took it to mean the side dish so I got a delicious side of lightly cooked and spiced cauli which was delicious with my mixed grill. Very happy with that!

Weighed again this morning, 7lbs down in 11 days Shock Grin it's the fastest I've ever lost weight - and the less deprived I've felt. Wish I'd discovered this WOE earlier. Thanks all for the resources and the support!

MrsKoala · 17/04/2015 08:59

I'm down in Kent Sayra so the Lakes are pretty much as up as i can imagine. I think the world ends a bit above there. Grin As a 'Lahndoner' I'm constantly surprised there is meaningful life outside the M25. Wink

DramaAlpaca · 17/04/2015 09:08

All this talk of the Lakes is making me feel homesick. I grew up there & my family still live there. Enjoy your day Sayra, give a sheep a cuddle from me.

I'm finding it odd that I'm not hungry too. Odd in a good way!

Well, what I came on to post this morning is that the scales finally moved! I am down a WHOLE KILO on yesterday!!!

I am going to be walking around all day with a face like this Smile

Thanks for helping me keep the faith ladies.

StuntNun · 17/04/2015 09:10

Fab news Drama, please send the whoosh fairy my way next.

TheHappyCamper · 17/04/2015 09:37

Brilliant news DramaAlpaca Grin - you deserve to be smiling all day!

Sayra & giraffe - the Lakes is 'across' for us also.

I don't have a target weight in mind really. A size 10 pair of jeans would be AMAZING though (seems a far fetched fantasy but who knows).

KOKO everyone Wink

MrsKoala · 17/04/2015 09:51

Well done Drama. :)

beerbelly · 17/04/2015 09:52

Ahhh BIWI, I am grateful for the advice I've received. But, as I said, I couldn't see the Bootcamp rules and was going off other research and what posters on here were eating (hence allowing myself berries and choc - I did do the first week without either!).

I just struggle with your bossy school ma'am tone (being a school ma'am myself!).

I am sure it is down to my own sensitivity - I have only recently joined Mumsnet due to a catastrophe in my marriage that I can't talk to anyone about, even my usual parenting forum.

So I am maybe a little fragile at the moment.

sassandfaff · 17/04/2015 10:00

beer Thanks for your marriage problems.

Well done drama and babs

Have fun sayra

babygiraffe86 · 17/04/2015 10:01

So proud - one of the site supervisors just brought in steak pies for everyone, smelled divine - and I turned them down Smile

just really not hungry, which wouldn't usually have stopped me.

camper we are the suburbs of Middlesbrough so possibly nearby Smile

sassandfaff · 17/04/2015 10:02

This is me in my new size 14 top that I bought this morning.

Look away now mrsk because it was £2 from asda! Grin

The 1st item I have bought for a very very long time in a size 14. Yeah!

Gcalgske · 17/04/2015 10:07

beer I think that it's easy to get offended online. The written word is very open to being taken the wrong way or seen as rude. Occasionally Biwi is quite frank with people but at the end of the day she has given up her time and is using her very valuable experience to try to help you and everyone else here. Same goes for everyone else who helps out with the spreadsheet etc - (sayra Flowers) they are trying to help us all and provide this very welcoming and open space to discuss things. It's a boot camp - honesty is required.

beerbelly · 17/04/2015 10:07

Well done Sassandfaff and thanks for the flowers. Your niceness has made me cry.

Sorelip · 17/04/2015 10:09

Well I'm back on the lc wagon. I was pregnant but am no longer, and my weird thyroid was down to too low a dose of levothyroxine as opposed to lcing. We have a holiday booked for 4th July so I'm hoping to lose a stone by that point. Something feels different this time, and I'm ready to lose weight.

Breakfast has been coffee with cream, a pepperami, and yogurt and cream. I think lunch will be Philly wrapped in ham and celery sticks, and dinner will be an omelette of some description.

Gcalgske · 17/04/2015 10:09

Beer just seen above Flowers
Xxxx

sassandfaff · 17/04/2015 10:11

Awh beer at the risk of making you a worse, he is a hug. (((()))).

Are you OK?

You will find everyone supportive if you want to talk about it? Or you can pm me if you want to. If not, I understand completely. Xx

Romeyroo · 17/04/2015 10:11

beer, I have had two marital catastrophes (clearly not designed for marriage), so I sympathise. I only started this WOE six months ago, as I had put on two and half stone since end of marriage #2, so while you are doing a good thing in looking at your weight, I'm not sure it would have been a change I could have taken on board in the immediate aftermath Flowers.

When I started I did a good 5 - 6 weeks of religious BC because a) it took me three weeks to feel normal without the carbs and then b) I was b*ggered if I was trying anything which might sent me back to having to go through that again, so any experimentation has been slowly done to see what works. Weight loss after that has only happened with serious BC'ing, otherwise I have maintained.

There have been times where I have thought Hmm at the tone (being a sensitive soul) but the advice has always been bang on the money; and there have been so many amazing and helpful responses to myself and others that this is an amazing resource. I don't do berries except VERY RARELY, but I do dark chocolate in emergencies and as a treat - because it makes me feel less deprived; but that is in the context of knowing what does and does not effect my weight. It does not matter what other people can eat, it matters what you can and it takes time to learn that.

Anyway, I wanted to say that I was really interested by the comments about fruit near the equator being higher carbs. This is probably why being very northern, I do best on green veg!

I am bouncing up and down 2lbs, the good news is that the weight bracket I am bouncing in is 1lb less than it was a couple of weeks ago.

Sorelip · 17/04/2015 10:11

Well done sass I like the colour. I'm sooo looking forward to going clothes shopping in June, I'm sick of the sight of everything in my wardrobe.

DramaAlpaca · 17/04/2015 10:12

Thanks all!

There were Danish pastries for everyone at work this morning. I could look at them without feeling any desire to eat them at all. Who'd have thought it?

sass brilliant, looking good!

beer Flowers

sassandfaff · 17/04/2015 10:19

Thanks everyone.

sore I have learnt since ballooning after last sc, that I am as stubborn as a mule! I refuse to buy anything nice, and or expensive. I have refused to admit this is my size and have just piece mealed my clothes (mostly from charity shops).

I am like lady haversham, with a wardrobe full of size 10/12 clothes from 2009, that I an waiting to get back into.

Only then will I buy myself nice stuff.

Grin
sassandfaff · 17/04/2015 10:20

DC not sc!

Dumdedumdedum · 17/04/2015 10:37

Hello, all, just checking in to say good day!
Congratulations to Drama and Sass, another aww and virtual hug and Flowers for Beer and thanks to all of you for all your help and advice and encouragement.
Sorelip, I hope I am misunderstanding you and that you have not suffered a miscarriage recently. If I'm sadly right and you need to talk to someone who doesn't know you, please feel free to pm me if you want, as I have experienced this twice. If I'm wrong, ignore the foregoing and good luck with the LC diet!
I've just had a Pizza Express smoked chicken and pomegranate salad with walnuts on lettuce, with olive oil, lemon and chilli dressing (yum). I can't find the nutritional details anywhere, though, and am worried the pomegranate seeds are too high carb. Any ideas, please?
Oh, in case you're wondering, I live in a desert and it's lunch time here Grin

DarkEvilMoon · 17/04/2015 10:41

"with a wardrobe full of size 10/12 clothes from 2009, that I an waiting to get back into. " yep guilty of this also. Clothes were a better cut and quality back then

Finally managed breakfast 2 eggs scrambled in butter
2 coffees drunk and there will be at least one more

I doubt I will be able to see the physio until next week as am half way across the country this weekend running ds around for various sport related things. He has had his doctor's appointment he was worrying about last night. So hoping for sleep tonight. Sod's law states that the shoulder will settle down by the time I get to see the physio Hmm well a girl can hope In the meantime I am going to just koko and potter my way through the last day of half term hols. Ds has asked to just be allowed to have some technology as he is feel meh. I will admit to taking the path of least argument and saying yes Blush

Hope you all have good days

sassandfaff · 17/04/2015 10:48

sore I wasn't sure either. I did put something and then deleted in case I was wrong. Hope you are OK- as can be expected anyway. X

sassandfaff · 17/04/2015 10:52

dark it's your shoulder isn't it? Have you strapped it up? Or does that not help? Take it easy.

I'm not aware if they are better quality, as I don't really buy anything. I do know that they're probably not that fashionable by now. Although, I wear quite plain stuff, so shouldn't be too bad.

sassandfaff · 17/04/2015 10:58

dum Envy you another in a hot country?
