The inbetween BC BC for those who didn't do as well as they should on the real BC

SayraT · 06/04/2015 18:41

Ok, some of us (me) didn't do very well on the real actual BC and some others just feel the need to have a little extra push before the next real BC so this is our inbetween BC BC Grin

I'll start, I'm currently 222 lb and want to be 217 lb by the start of the real BC (11th May). I will be recording my food daily to keep on track, I am also going to weigh daily.

Food

B: Flax wrap with butter, coffee with cream
L: M&S salad, ff yog
S: S&V peanuts (none left now so I'll have normal nuts or none at all)
D: Cauli-rice with hot smoked salmon

I found a nut butter one that looked OK.

3/4 c. coconut oil
1/2 c. butter, unsalted
2 T. natural nut butter
3 T. unsweetened raw cocoa powder

nappyaddict · 12/04/2015 19:49

Ingredients for the Lindt 90% chocolate I sometimes have. It has sugar but no other junk.

Cocoa Mass, Cocoa Butter, Low Fat Cocoa Powder, Sugar, Vanilla, Cocoa Solids: 90% min

I want to try the 99% Lindt but haven't found it in any shops.

Gcalgske · 12/04/2015 20:26

The 99% Lindt is ok but can be quite bitter, I'd normally use more cream (150g cream to 100g chocolate) and would really consider sweetening it but that's personal taste. I'm in low carb for the long haul, it's a way of life for me (minor accidents with Easter eggs not withstanding) so I need to be happy that I can have the odd choc which tastes great every now and then.

SayraT · 12/04/2015 20:57

Just in to record my food for today. Spent the day at a science festival event so I am shattered. I also think I've got hayfever Sad very sniffy and sneezy.

Food

B: Ikea meatballs, coffee with cream
L: Tuna mayo on lettuce, ff yog, nakd bar (15g carbs)
D: Steak (not feeling well so just ate the steak)
S: mini pepperami, some dark chocolate

Not enough veg and too many extras today, but I'm down 2lbs this week so I am Smile

Oh my god the celeriac gratin was utterly delectable. I can't actually believe it's ok to eat!!!

Have drank all my water for today so I'm on extra now, which is a first. I put it down to my new two litre water bottle. Grin

Romeyroo · 12/04/2015 22:02

Just recording food

B scrambled eggs with spinach and coconut milk
S cheese and ham
L was late - large salad and chicken wings
D - cold platter of lettuce, cucumber, cheese, pate, hb egg
Piece of dark choc and two Brazil nuts

Definitely too much, it feels like. Yummy but too much. Hopefully did okay with the water, was out all day.

LexLoofah · 12/04/2015 22:14

trashgreat idea with the new water bottles, we all like to use our new stuff don't we? I can barely contain myself on the way home from the shop sometimes, even over the most mundane things like a new potato masher which I got last week although should probably refer to it as swede masher from now on!

Turned out to be a 4 cup of tea kind of day today as DCs up at 5:30 and now resisting doing homework - give me strength

B - rest of leftover cabbage fried in more butter, 2 poached eggs, 1 strawberry,
l - went out and I had a lamb burger, asked for no bun and romaine leaves instead, turned out to not be a problem for the restaurant at all, brilliant
d - will turn some of the leftover slow cooker pork into a chilli, pos with cauli rice, sour cream and cheddar

ijustwanttobeme · 12/04/2015 22:35

I'm a bit late to the party, but can I please join in?

I lost a stone on BC but like some others, I've had definite carb creep! Yesterday, I had toast, chips and chappatis (not all at once I hasten to add).

I'm weighing in tonight at 120lbs and list of foods:

B: scrambled egg, bacon x3, riid mushrooms and tinned tomatoes
L: flat white at Nero's
D: tuna steak, with spinach, onions and chilli
S: two cups of tea (and small portion of tirimisu) My excuse being, I hadn't seen this thread then, so wasn't aware, I was meant to be inbtween BCing thenSmile

readyforno2 · 13/04/2015 07:46

Sayra, the ikea meatballs.. What carb count are they? Are they ok for bc? They are the ultimate comfort food

ClashCityRocker · 13/04/2015 08:15

Morning guys, I'm back on it too. A bereavement near the start of the last bootcamp sent me right off the rails, but am in a better place now. The plan for today is:

B: BPC
L: Scrambled eggs with cream and paprika
D: homemade burgers with mushrooms, blue cheese and salad with oil based dressing.

The aim is to be in a bikini by July!

SayraT · 13/04/2015 08:22

Hi ready thanks for the PM before Smile

Yeah, I love them, they are 4g/100g. I haven't worked out how many 100g are yet but I tend to have 5-7 of them so I'm hoping they are ok. I will weigh them at some point.

They are probably not really BC approved as they are processed but I love them and they are so quick if you stick them in the microwave Grin

I'm feeling fed up.
I've been LCing for a month in time for a big event on Friday. In the first 3 weeks I lost 8lb and in the last week nothing. I've been really strict, exercising almost daily and had not one drop of alcohol.
I really need to lose 3lbs this week.

Yesterday
Total FF yog with a handful of berries, a teaspoon of roasted ground nuts
Ham, egg & watercress salad with a gallon of mayo
Pork scratchings & about 6 salted almonds
Fried salmon with asparagus and hollandaise
3 hours exercise (squash & long walk)

Any ideas as to what I can do this week?

Fatstacks · 13/04/2015 08:34

Morning lovelies Smile
Still dying to death with a cold, it's made me weak as a kitten and I have totm next week so doubly suffering Sad
Yesterday was a bit lazy food and activity wise.
From my command center (the settee) I ordered leaf mulch collecting from the woods, riddled compost from the council green waste recycling and hard core from the waste ground near the railway.
I got loads done despite being reclined with old poodle all day!
Food was B. Lidl possesed cheese slices with green chilli.
L. Mix up salad of everything that needed using up.
D. Massive giant bowl of yoghurt, double cream, crushed mixed nuts, frozen berries and da vinci sf vanilla. Blush

Today will be better!
B. Boiled eggs.
L. Bavarian ham salad
D. Steak with cauli cheese.

I'm going to follow Trash' lead and fill my water jugs ready.
I have to confess to adding half strength crystal light
Monday morning enthusiasm Grin

Fatstacks · 13/04/2015 08:39

Yeahok maybe try ubercamp for a couple of days?
To nudge things along?
It's a tab on the spreadsheet on bc threads.

nappyaddict · 13/04/2015 08:41

ijustwanttobeme 120lbs is not much at all! How tall are you?

yeahokthen maybe a ban on berries and nuts this week to see if it makes a difference?

gcalgske Are you in maintenance or trying to lose weight? Where do you buy the 99% lindt from?

nappyaddict · 13/04/2015 08:44

BTW for anyone that's interested Lindt 90% is 2 for £3 in Waitrose until 12/5.

babygiraffe86 · 13/04/2015 08:46

Morning All,

breakfast today was 2 slices smoked ham rolled up filled with full fat cottage cheese,

not sure on lunch as at lunchtime I'm being sent to another office 55miles away :(

tea tonight is steak with mushroom cream and whatever veg grabs me first from the freezer.

Weighed in this morning at 144lbs. Had a pint of water already, 3 litres is about 6 pints so need to get moving with that.

Romeyroo · 13/04/2015 08:58

I know, I thought that ijustwanttobeme, unless you are really petite, 120lb is not a lot; are you sure you are not being too hard on yourself?

I have decided to be strict to lose a couple more pounds and then take the bull by the horns and start thinking about maintenance - otherwise I am tipping over into a point where I am losing weight because I am scared of putting it back on, if that makes sense. Although I sat at the same weight for about five weeks and only just lost a pound, so possibly I already have maintenance crackedGrin

minibmw2010 · 13/04/2015 09:05

Alcohol heavy weekend here (b'day and MIL visiting), so I tried to be good with my food but I don't think there's been any loss (and it was week 1, how depressing). Anyway, it's helped me work out my menu's etc. so Week 2 will be my big week I've decided.

B: scrambled eggs and bacon (all done in butter)
L: will be salad with avocado, cheese, mayo and a chicken breast (in its skin):
D: Bolognaise with courgette spaghetti.

And lots and lots of water.

nappyaddict · 13/04/2015 09:14

BIWI The pizza at the top of your blog, is that the no pizza pizza or cauliflower pizza?

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 13/04/2015 09:26

So bloody annoyed with myself, one bread roll and too much wine at weekend results in a five pound gain. Why am I so bloody sensitive to carbs? My RL low carb friend gets away with occasional slip ups. I'm slipping further and further away from hitting any goal I have set. Three day egg fast for me I think. Gah, fed up.

DramaAlpaca · 13/04/2015 09:41

Rookie mistake. Found out that the protein shake I've been drinking is too carby because I had the chocolate version Blush. 10g of carbs instead of the vanilla flavour which is 1.3g. Note to self: read the label!!!

Feeling a bit fed up because although I can see I'm losing fat, it's not being reflected on the scales. I haven't had a whoosh of weight loss, it's just slow & steady. I know that's the best way, long term, but I'd love a whoosh, it would be so motivating.

Romeyroo · 13/04/2015 09:53

Natural, I am the same - carbs are not my friend at all; when I have felt like something bread-y I have done the flaxseed bread or flaxseed pancakes on the recipe thread.

I think it is harder because so much of what is on offer to buy for lunches etc if you are out is grain based carbs; some places are slowly offering alternatives but it feels like a sea of carbs sometimes.

nappyaddict · 13/04/2015 09:54

Can anyone re post the cream cheese pancake recipe on the recipe thread please as I have searched and can't find it.

Gcalgske · 13/04/2015 10:08

Nappy I'm trying to lose. Long story but after getting in great shape on low carb to have a baby I suffered a birth trauma which left me immobile and with PTSD - bubs is two and I've had the first op to fix things and I'm seeing a great physio and psychologist. I need more surgery but need more weight loss first. I'm in the right head space now and I've taken the decision that this is a way of eating for life now because of my insulin resistance issues if I go off of low carb I'll gain all my weight back.
