You appear to have taken offence to my post. It was - obviously - never my intention to offend you, but to try and help.
The meals I gave are all meals I had last week. I tend to eat the same things for breakfast and lunch everyday, so dinner is the only thing that changes.
For me to be able to give you a proper consideration of what might be happening, I needed to know specifically what you were eating every day, so that I could see the daily combination/totals of what you are eating.
Incidentally, is there a reason why you're eating the same thing every day for breakfast and lunch? That must be pretty boring! And if you're bored with your eating, that's not going to keep you engaged with this WOE for very long!
I have three eggs because, typically, I'm very hungry by lunchtime. I will try to cut down to two.
OK - fair enough. This isn't supposed to be about deprivation, so if you're hungry then yes you should definitely eat more. How much fat are you eating with the eggs? How much mayo? Perhaps you could try mashing the eggs with some butter, as well as the mayo? And do you know how many carbs are in the mayo?
I really am trying to avoid dairy. The milk in my tea is about 20ml. I have measured it. Apart from that, I went several days without any other dairy. I appreciate that from your perspective it sounds like I'm not 'avoiding dairy', but previously I was relying on cheese to help add interest to my meals, and I have stopped that entirely. I have also not used any cream in recipes. My husband made me breakfast on Sunday. We would usually have cheese in the eggs. I have told him about the health benefits, and he is working with me as best as he can, but I'm not going to refuse his kind gesture.
I understand that you're trying to avoid it, but clearly you aren't! I know it's a small amount, but I'm trying to point out where the little things might all be adding up for you. Of course you shouldn't refuse your husband's kind gesture, but it does mean that - on that day - you didn't avoid dairy. Sorry if you don't want me to say that!
The peanut butter was a one-off treat that I made for Valentine's Day. As I said, I haven't had any other nuts or chocolate. Saturday was the first day I have had anything that isn't on the BC rules list.
That's very good, and I'm very impressed! But again, I'm just pointing out the small things that might be making a difference.
I'm on half term so I have skipped the regular tea and have had green tea instead. I will do that all week. I don't feel like my portions are too big, but I haven't been weighing because I thought I wasn't supposed to.
Yes, you're right - the whole point of Bootcamp is that it should be easy to follow, without any weighing or counting. But, if there's a problem, then it's always worth thinking about how much you're eating - just because we're low carbing doesn't mean that we can go mad in terms of portions. Sometimes - especially if we have a disordered eating history - it's hard to gauge portion size.
All of the suggestions I have made are, in themselves, small things, but they are worth considering.
I know it's frustrating when the scales aren't moving. Been there, seen it and got the t-shirt!
One final thing - did you measure yourself when you started? It is very possible to be changing shape without the scales reflecting that.
