BIWI · 08/12/2014 07:25

Good morning everyone!

I hope you're all still with us, to come and add your final weigh-in to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Or, on the Weight Tracker

It seems like there have been some really good losses on this Bootcamp, and so Flowers for you all!

Hope you all have a very good week

Day 2 back on the wagon. Dreadful headache but weigh 1pound less than yesterday. Missing my glass of wine in the evening but after the Christmas festivities that can only be a good thing. I can already hear my liver saying thank you. I am really glad of being able to bootcamp. It keeps my weight fairly constant when you draw a line over the year. The peaks are followed by bootcamp until normal service is resumed. Very grateful for having found these threads and BIWI. I am sure I would be 2sizes bigger if I hadn't.

BIWI · 06/01/2015 13:37

Well, here I am in Vietnam, and all hopes of low carbing well and truly out of the window!

It's noodle city.

My only hope is that it's sufficiently low calorie that things aren't too damaging.

(I'm here for work, not pleasure, and so my choices are pretty limited)

Glad to hear that others are faring better although I'm Envy that you're going to be two weeks ahead of me!!!

Syra your spreadsheet is fantastic, thank you so much for taking the trouble. Now, I am a bit hopeless finding my way around here, so how do I search the recipe thread without reading through the whole thing?

miffy49 · 06/01/2015 14:21

I've wondered that Charlie! I've never actually made it to the end. I get so far and have to go and be productive so then I lose my place and keep going over old ground!

Newbiecrafter · 06/01/2015 14:29

If you're using SyraT's spreadsheet as a reference, then if you load the full recipe thread with the show all messages option, then you should be able to find what you're looking for, for using CTRL F to find on the page in windows, or by typing in the words in the normal internet search box, and scrolling down the list to the find on this page option.

Hope that helps a bit. I too have retried and given up trying to read the whole thread as it's so long, and like you Miffy, get so far and then have to stop and basically start again.

Xxx

ChesterDrawers · 06/01/2015 14:30

Charlie and Miffy if you are on a PC, you can go to 'show all messages' so they all appear on one page then press ctrl and F to bring up the 'find' box. Then you can search for the name of the recipe or keywords/ingredients.

No idea on tablets/iPads though, but hopefully there is a way and someone with more knowledge than me can tell us.

X-post Newbie Grin

BIWI · 06/01/2015 14:44

Or, if you go to the Mumsnet Recipe section, there's a whole low carb bit there, and one poster (SharonGless/WineGless - forget which posting name she was using then!) transferred a whole load of recipes there, which may be more searchable

SayraT · 06/01/2015 15:15

Yep you can do it both ways.

I just have the recipe thread bookmarked and click "show all messages" and search using Ctrl F then type the recipe name in Smile

Newbiecrafter · 06/01/2015 15:28

Chester, it is possible to do this on an ipad.

If you type the thing you want to search for in the normal safari search bar, you get the list of close names that you can search for. If you scroll down that list that pops up, the last option is 'find on this page'. It's odd that it's in the search bar, but as long as you select the fund on this page bit, it def. works.

miffy49 · 06/01/2015 16:00

Thanks, I'll give it a go.Smile

CharlieSierra · 06/01/2015 16:43

Thanks all, I will have a go tonight.

AlphaBravoHenryFoxtons · 06/01/2015 16:53

Is there a new boot camp starting soon?

SayraT · 06/01/2015 17:01

Yes, BC is starting on the 19th January, BIWI is away in Vietnam so couldn't start it sooner.

There is a sign up thread somewhere if you want to add your name Smile

readyforno2 · 06/01/2015 19:37

Ok. Day 2.

B - scrambled eggs (forgot my mushrooms)
L - broc, cauliflower, bacon and Stilton soup
D - portobello mushroom stuffed with Bolognese (cheese on top), asparagus and baby corn fried in butter and courgettes fried in butter with double cream

Loads of water. Too many teas Confused

readyforno2 · 06/01/2015 19:38

BIWI, we may be a couple of weeks ahead, but, Vietnam! I'm really jealous. Enjoy.

SayraT · 06/01/2015 19:41

Hmm, I don't think that there is much to be jealous of ready it is work and from the sounds of things potentially rather boring!

Where were you for your honeymoon...I've forgotten Blush

Romeyroo · 06/01/2015 19:51

Not sure I am starting two weeks early, Biwi, I feel like I have been munching all day!! Low carb munching, but munching nonetheless and too much dark chocolate.

Good news is that I found the gingerbread tea, so off to try thatSmile

readyforno2 · 06/01/2015 20:39

I didn't realise it was a work trip.. Sorry BIWI, hope it's not too boring.
We went to Sharm el Sheikh SayraT, it was amazing, although seems like ages ago now!

BIWI · 07/01/2015 02:11

Yes, definitely work and definitely not very exciting! Also full of carbs - I think I'm going to look like a noodle by the time I get home.

Sadly I won't get a chance to see/do anything. I am at work each day from 10 until 6.30 (don't really fancy going anywhere on my own in the evening!). Finish at 4.30 on Friday and then have to be at the airport by 10.30 to come home so that's it.

Take care Noodle Girl. See if you can find a Super Huge Stick while you're there, you're going to need it. And Valium. Lots of Valium. X

Coconut flour and chocolate 'cake' experimentation underway again!! This time I have used two bits of dark chocolate melted instead of cocoa powder and soya milk to make the mixture a bit more liquid. It tastes quite salty, thoughConfused Hmm

Romeyroo · 07/01/2015 16:26

I can safely recommend my chocolate and coconut concoction #2 to anyone wishing to lose weight on boot camp. You will feel so ill after trying it that you won't want to eat anything at all!

EnvyEnvyEnvy and no peppermint tea in sight.
