Good morning, I'm standing in for BIWI this week since she's on her holibobs.

If you're weighing in, here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

and here is the Weight Tracker.

Have a great week everyone.

A really interesting piece of new research here to support high fat diets over high carb ones

Bitchy do you add cream to your scrambled eggs? A dollop of crème fraiche beaten into the mix is lovely.

Biwi glad nothings broken. I do think that strains and bruises can often hurt more though.Sad

Need to keep as dairy free as possible so no cream, no creme fraiche. It makes it harder but I guess it at least negates the possible dairy stall issue. Hmm

Realised not done buttered leeks in ages so going to pick some leeks up tomo.

BIWI, its good that you didn't break anything, have some hot -to- cold showers and most importantly when the bruising comes out 'walk it off' don't just curl up as it will be worse, so a bit of stretching etc. Arnicas great but also a bit of deep heat or tiger balm with a bit of oil and a pair of gentle hands to rub it in.

I got the Phinney & Vollek Books delivered this evening so just sticking my head into them for the first time but can already feel my preachy side coming out for Christmas.

Sorry to hear it Bitchy, would only suggest cutting back on the meat and adding some more green salad and perhaps tuna / avocado if your not already. Ive been doing slices of butter with a bit of marmite on top just to up my daily bits.

If i weigh my veg do i do it cooked or uncooked? It is also possible that my view on what is too much veg is twisted by years of disordered eating and it might help with some perspective.

I made some butter with the cream I hadn't eaten after going Uber. someone gave me the idea earlier in the thread so I gave it a shot. Worked out lovely. Someone else also suggested sliced radishes with slices of butter so it all came together at the right time! Thanks Folks!Flowers

I've really missed my cream and yoghurt but I've also cut out every last scrap of sweetener after reading Biwis link. I normally read the Diet Doctor page and get the newsletter but seem to have missed out on that page. Interesting that it didn't affect his BG but did knock him out of ketosis. I'd tested my GB with sweeteners and got no change so I thought I was OK to include small amounts. Anyway, its my 5th day of uber and my weight hasn't altered massively but my belly has gone a lot flatter. I allowed myself a small serving of Greek yoghurt with a tablespoon of cream this evening as I was feeling a bit peevish as everyone else was having Sunday treats. Its set off a craving for sugar now even though I didn't add anything except cinnamon! That'll teach me!

Stop worrying about veg, Bitchy! As long as you're choosing low carb veg/salad it will be fine. Cooked or uncooked!
