Good morning, I'm standing in for BIWI this week since she's on her holibobs.

If you're weighing in, here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

and here is the Weight Tracker.

Have a great week everyone.

Grin Tanukisan Tbh i would also suggest giving up the sugar free jelly (full of artificial sweetners) and restrict the cherry toms. But that is because I have to be fully versed in the effects of the chemicals (and toms can be high carbs). Additionally artificial sweetners are believed to have adverse effects on weight irrc.

Anyone still got that link for the devil that is diet coke and aspartame for Tanukisan? I know it was posted on the bootcamp about a year ago at some point but don't have time atm for a search. If not I will have a hunt tomo.

CharlieSierra · 25/11/2014 11:44

1.6 off, so the extra effort has had an effect at least. Onwards and downwards!

readyforno2 · 25/11/2014 12:02

Hi everyone!
Just popping on so I don't lose track. On honeymoon in sharm el sheikh. Weather amazing, unfortunately I can't say the same for the food. I'm struggling to stay lc and I'm worried about the amount I'm more than likely piling on. Back on strict bc next week. Can't believe its so close to the end already!

Tanukisan · 25/11/2014 13:18

I know it's bad, but I love it so Sad

BeyondTheTreelights · 25/11/2014 17:14

Been poorly again so havent weighed in yet, will try to do it in the morning :)

Been very good today

Bpc, berries and yog
Spinach, mushroom and cheese omelette. Salad with ridiculous amount of mayo (yum)

Struggling with water now the temp has dropped though, might have to get some herbal tea type things...?

miffy49 · 25/11/2014 17:22

Hope you're feeling better now Beyond. I like the Tick Tock rooibos green tea. I have it with a little splash of lemon. Its light and refreshing. Its a lot less bitter than the normal green tea.

Wombat22 · 25/11/2014 17:37

Hello all. I'm clinging on by my fingertips. I know this way of eating works and I love it but I've been on a major sugar binge the last week or so even eating things i don't like Sad I know that once I get back on track the cravings will go but easier said than done I'm afraid. Well done all the losers and those who are stalled but sticking with it

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 25/11/2014 17:51

So what can we do to help Wombat?

prettybird · 25/11/2014 18:42

Wombat - don't beat yourself up. Dust yourself off and get back on the wagon. Drink plenty of water and make sure to have plenty of fat with your meals.

I had a HmmShock moment this morning. Wish I hadn't, but I moved the scales to where I had been weighing myself on last year's Boot Camp and immediately put on a stone and a half! ShockHmmConfused

Tried it in another position and got the same result Shock

So, so much for thinking I was back into a healthy BMU Hmm

Never mind: for the moment, I'll continue weighing myself at the "good" Wink spot (as it's all relative and the number of pounds I will have lost will still be accurate Grin) - and then when I go back onto Boot Camp in the New Year, I'll put the scales in the unforgiving accurate spot Grin

ChesterDrawers · 25/11/2014 19:56

Pretty, might I be so bold as to suggest you might benefit from a new set of scales? That is one wild fluctuation you've got going on there!

BestIsWest · 25/11/2014 19:58

I inadvertently got weighed this morning. I had to go for a DEXA scan and they took my height and weight measurements. Fortunately it was in kilos so I have no idea what that translates to in pounds. Hope Sayrawon't be cross with me.

Mo definitely joining you on another week on the fat.

sayra surprised at the food in Brazil as I expected it to be similar to Portugal as they are so close culturally - lots of fresh seafood and pork, chicken and beef.
On the other hand the Portuguese do love their cakes (virtually every village has its own cake or pastry) and they do have an obsession with condensed milk.

SarahBeenysBumblingApprentice · 25/11/2014 20:00

prettybird that is heartbreaking! Sad And that is also why my scales are 20 years old and I daren't get anymore Blush.

Wombat I find that when I'm getting back on track it helps if I'm not hungry. So if I'm hungry, I have a low carb snack and I'm a bit easier on myself than I am normally. And sometimes I feel hungry but it's actually salt that I need and bouillon helps.

BIWI · 25/11/2014 20:17

tanukisan - you really have to ditch the sugar-free jelly and the Diet Coke! On Bootcamp we try to avoid artificial sweeteners as much as possible, because not only are they artificial, they can also impede weight loss.

Google 'diet doctor' and 'Pepsi Max' to read about the experiment he did

BIWI · 25/11/2014 20:26

pole

Morning all I have no idea what has gone Wrong but after one week I lost 5lbs and now I have put 3 back on! I have no idea how as I have been sticking with it! So yesterday I had:

B - Greek yogurt full fat with cream and a little of my protein shake for flavor (could this be the problem)

have you checked the carbs in your protein shake?

L - 2 peppeami and tomato Heinz soup (was stuck for choice)

Processed meat, and the soup will be full of sugar! Where is your veg/Salad?

S - 1 peparami + yogurt and cream

More processed meat!

d - homemade veg soup made with olive oil and butter and cream + bacon joint ready cooked from asda

More processed meat!

Am I eating too much?

Youre not eating anywhere near enough veg or salad. Way too much processed stuff and, possibly, too much dairy

I'm really disappointed hmm any tips?

READ BOOTCAMP RULES!

On Bootcamp the aim is to eat as much fresh, unprocessed food as possible. You also need to plan your meals so you don't get caught out like that again. The other thing I'd advise is that you start reading labels on EVERYTHING so that you get a better idea of the carb counts of pre-prepared foods. It's shocking how much sugar is in stuff.

But the best advice I can give you is to chalk it up to experience, and get back into the swing of things. You're still 2lbs down, remember!

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 25/11/2014 21:32

Hope you are having a nice time BIWI Grin

Liveinthepresent · 25/11/2014 22:05

Evening all. I have been very quiet but keeping on. Got on the scales for the first time in three busy weeks - weekend away, visiting relatives, tummy bug - was praying for STS and I got a loss of 5lbs.
Am over the moon - that is a total of 14 lbs since we started.
Really not sure where the weight has gone from as my jeans still don't fit - do you think it is possible that this much weight could all go from my top half if I am a pear shape?
Anyway for now I am feeling so inspired as I have barely felt like I am dieting much of the time - DH and I just cook our LC repertoire automatically.
Can see the next stone barrier in sight ( but maybe in new year!)
Well done everyone still at it - this Bootcamp has been amazing.
Keep the faith everyone -it will work!

prettybird · 25/11/2014 22:09

This IS the new set of scales - Salter ones - bought after dh complained about how inconsistent the old ones were Shock turns out it was more to do with how uneven the bathroom floor is WinkConfused

But still onwards and downwards - whatever the specific number on the scales says Grin

BestIsWest · 25/11/2014 22:11

Is this the link about diet soda here it's from the spreadsheet.

TwoflowersLuggage · 25/11/2014 22:21

0.9lb on this week but I had 2 meals out (with wine!) over the weekend. Yesterday was even higher so I know it's coming back off again.

BIWI · 25/11/2014 23:27

Thanks for posting the link!

And yes am having a lovely time, although I think I am the Queen of Twatsville Confused

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 26/11/2014 00:34

Thanks best

Pleaseandthankyou · 26/11/2014 08:20

I just had a vision of BIWI on her sunbed with a mojito in one hand and a big stick in the other. Enjoy

Pisseslikeahorse · 26/11/2014 16:42

Wow all quiet on the low carb front ... Grin

Faceache is starting to go down, doc put me on antibiotics and the colds on the way out, just having to deal with the rest of the families ills.
But with a good wind i'll be back on the river footpath in the morning for a decent run, need to check out the all new happy feeling foot.

L. chicken advocado mayo salad
D. Cauliflower & tuna ?

BeyondTheTreelights · 26/11/2014 18:06

Wombat22 · 26/11/2014 19:24

Hello and thanks for the support. I've had a better day today. I know the only person who can help me is me. I've been sabotaging myself. I'm taking low carb tasty stuff to work but then eating rubbish on top! I'm not eating because I'm hungry. I've had a fair bit of stress recently and I think it was that excuses excuses I'm trying to find better coping techniques such as massage and exercise. I appreciate the offers of help thank you Thanks
