Good morning, I'm standing in for BIWI this week since she's on her holibobs.

If you're weighing in, here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

and here is the Weight Tracker.

Have a great week everyone.

Biwi i am almost tempted to ask you for a photo but that would just be a bit odd.

Well done Charlie Flowers that is quite an achievement.

BIWI oh dear...I hope is not too serious. No mini skirts for a week or twoWink

rybka13 · 29/11/2014 20:15

Random question. What am I going to read once this BC is finished?

BIWI · 29/11/2014 20:38

rybka - once it's finished, I'll set up a general chat thread, so anyone who wants to can continue to chat. I just won't do a separate one for each week.

miffy49 · 29/11/2014 21:10

Wow Biwi! When you do it you do it right! I always keep a large, pump container of arnica gel along with homeopathic arnica. I have witch hazel I the fridge too. Both sons are asthmatic so can't use any form of ibuprofen. I must say that the gel is excellent for soreness after doing weights as well as for first aid. I buy it from Amazon and the suppliers do a bath soak too. Get your feet up Gal! Flowers Brew

Things seem to be easing a little, despite lack of arnica/painkillers although plenty of gin

Hiccoughs and sneezing aren't great though! I'm going to see how things are tomorrow/how well I sleep tonight, and if things still aren't any better I may take myself off to A&E tomorrow, just to be on the safe side

BIWI · 29/11/2014 22:47

Thing is, I went everywhere on my bike when I was a kid. Never had an accident. Why now?!

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 29/11/2014 22:57

Because sometimes we forget how long ago it was since we were a kid and doing this sort of thing. Ds' dad pointed out we have been apart for 10 years now. My response, "don't be so stupid" then he laid out the maths, but i am still confused as to how it can be ten years. surely time has been that much and I am still only 28 right? HmmGrin

Just realised the other thing that is good for achy muscles etc is epsom salts. (always have some of those in the house too) Blush sound like we are a bit demic but seriously it is just the choices in sport. honest. BlushGrin

Ouch BIWI, hope you're feeling a bit better this morning Flowers

I am beyond fucked off this morning as I am back up to fucking 11st, all because I had blue cheese sauce on my steak. Two fucking pounds - not fair.

This is the first time since I started that I genuinely feel like jacking it in, I can't live on eggs, meat and veg for the rest of my life, it's no sodding fun.

CharlieSierra · 30/11/2014 09:25

Chester that is hard, so frustrating. it might not be a real gain though, just one of those annoying 'natural fluctuations'.

prettybird · 30/11/2014 09:35

Ouch BIWI

Sore coughs and hiccups sounds like you've bruised your ribs - or could even have cracked/broken them. Nothing much you can do, but might be worth a trip to A&E.

Had bit too much to drink last night with a friend over for supper even cracked open a bottle of Vintage Port is bought dh for Christmas Blush so it's a slow start for me today.

Birdinacage · 30/11/2014 12:47

Chester - was it a ready made shop bought sauce or did you make it yourself?

BIWI - hope you're feeling better this morning! My balance is abysmal so I avoid bikes as I always fall of spectacularly and injure myself horribly. The last time I came off at the top of a hill and sliced myself to ribbons after flying over the handlebars, we were still 3 miles from home so had to bike back with blood pouring everywhere which wasn't much fun.

Haven't been on the thread much this week due to being busy with hospital appointments and Christmas preparations but I seem to have reached a plateau again and have sts. Hoping for a bit more off before the end of bootcamp and would love to be nearer to 10st than 11 by my birthday in a few weeks but we'll see how it goes.

miffy49 · 30/11/2014 13:40

Biwi hope you didn't wake too stiff this morning. Don't envy you a day in A&E if you end up deciding to go there! Last time we went we waited 8 hours and we'd been sent down on a pre-arranged apt by GP!!!

Chester Panic not! I always gain at least 1 or 2 lbs when I have cauli cheese. I've got used to it now and don't weigh the day after cheese sauce! I have a feeling that its because it can be quite salty. I use a mix of Boursin, crème fraiche and ex mat cheddar with just a bit of pepper added but I always end up drinking quite a lot afterwards.

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 30/11/2014 13:47

I have noticed that i am doing this all wrong Sad. My fat content is way too low and i am eating too much of low carb veg. How do you get around this? I hate greasy food. I was eating a lot of mayo but the carbs of that was getting out of control and also i am no longer eating salad. I add butter but it doesn't seem to be enough. So how do i fix this combination of thought process and sensory issues?

miffy49 · 30/11/2014 15:52

Have you tried making your own mayo? That's virtually carb free. Tastes much nicer than the stuff in jars and keeps quite well in the fridge. I admit that I found it hard to get back into things like buttered veg and fried eggs after years of low fat brainwashing! I add cream cheese to mayo and maybe a bit of soured cream or crème fraiche to make a high fat dip. You can add garlic or herbs to jazz it up and its lovely either as a dip or dolloped on veg. It tastes rich rather than greasy.

BIWI · 30/11/2014 15:57

What about fattier cuts of meat, Bitchy?

List out for me your meals over the last few days and let me see what I can suggest.

BIWI · 30/11/2014 15:58

Just back from A&E - it's a soft tissue injury rather than a crack/brake, and likely to feel worse tomorrow than today Sad. Just take painkillers and keep moving, then aim to see a physio in a couple of weeks time to make sure everything is OK.

BIWI · 30/11/2014 15:58

break Blush

ChesterDrawers · 30/11/2014 15:58

Sauce was homemade, so just blue cheese and cream. Cheese may have been salty I suppose, and I did have some olives while walking round the christmas market while every other fucker was eating burgers, pulled pork baps and hot donuts and they were definitely salty.

Chugging lots of water but still feeling a bit sad about it all.

Bitchy have you tried making your own mayo, hardly any carbs cos it's just oil and egg. Way nicer than shop bought IMO too. I do the 30 second one when I'm in a rush and it's great. I'm also trying to have a BPC every morning to up my fat - any use to you?

ChesterDrawers · 30/11/2014 15:59

Glad nothing's broken BIWI but still sounds v painful. Rest up and get well soon.

BIWI · 30/11/2014 16:00

Chester - all of that would indicate that you do have an issue with dairy. However, if you know that, then it's fine! In the great scheme of things, 2lbs isn't very much. Stop beating yourself up about it. I bet your meal was lovely. And no need to worry about salty food. We need salt on this WOE. Just keep chugging the water.

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 30/11/2014 16:09

Glad to hear there isn't a break Biwi hope you aren't too unbearably sore tomo.

Chester Tried bpc but i nearly threw up as really do have texture issues. Blush

You have to understand that last week was an exceptionally bad week, we had visitors, parties and catered work meals. It was mostly a light bulb moment. If it is alright, can i list the food out wednesday ish for you to look at as it will be a more normal week food wise?

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 30/11/2014 16:17

B: 2 eggs scrambled and cooked in a good dollop of butter
L: left over cottage pie (made with fatty mince, leeks, mushrooms)
T: going to make some swede mash to eat with some left over pork roast (having the fattier end)

CharlieSierra · 30/11/2014 16:20

Bitchy I find greasy food quite difficult too but agree with the others about home made Mayo and also I find I can get quite a bit of butter into swede or cauliflower mash without it being unpalatable.
