Week 3 - Pre-Christmas Low Carb Bootcamp - the fork in the road ...

Good morning! (not that there's much good about it, from what I can see out of the window ...)

So we're at the end of the first two weeks. Felt like forever, didn't it? Grin

Come and tell us how you got on on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

... or keep it to yourself on on the Weight Tracker

I hope that you have seen a good loss over these two weeks, because you do need to prepare yourself for the infamous weeks 3 and 4, where it is very, very, very, very common to see weight loss slow, stop or even reverse slightly

IF YOU FIND THIS IS HAPPENING, DON'T PANIC!

Keep calm and Bootcamp on ...

as we might say if we had our own posters Grin Just keep on keeping on, and things will start to move again very soon. However, the rate of loss will now - from here on - be at a more sustainable rate of 1-2lbs per week. (If you have a lot to lose it might be a bit more than this, but please don't expect to see massive losses every week - that way madness lies!)

And now you have a choice.

You can stay on Bootcamp if it suits you (but please promise me that you're getting your carbs from vegetables and salad), or you can move to Bootcamp Light, which means you can introduce a few berries and nuts/seeds, as well as re-introduce alcohol in moderation. Rules for Bootcamp Light are on the spreadsheet (look at the tabs at the bottom)

Or, you can do Bootcamp during the week and Bootcamp Light at the weekend.

Whatever you decide, I hope it goes well for you.

Flowers for all those still with us!

I've STS this week too, partly down to TOTM i think as i have really tried to stick to the rules and haven't cheated at least not intentionally

I do feel a lot less bloated than normal though and I can get my wedding and engagement rings on and off easier too so maybe something is happening Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/10/2014 13:56

Coooooooooooooo!

Tis in my house!

And whereas most of these teas promise so much and fail to deliver, this one is actually ok. Well I think so.

Salted caramel green tea. What will they think of next?!

Week 3 - Pre-Christmas Low Carb Bootcamp - the fork in the road ...
MrsGuyMartin · 13/10/2014 14:08

My weight has gone up and down madly this week due to AF and general illness in the house including sleeping for almost 24hours! So I'm really not surprised to see 2lb up on last week. But I'm still lighter than when I started and feeling much better now.

So I'll be sticking with it and see how we go. Today's food is:

B: Greek yogurt with cream and vanilla
L: bacon, scrambled eggs and celeriac dolphin pose
T: bolognese made with masses of veg

And I might make the crumble for later in the week.....

ChesterDrawers · 13/10/2014 14:23

Pistey where did you find it??????? Tell me pleasssseeeeeee!!!!!!

And is it nice, obv Grin?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/10/2014 15:30

Waitrose

And yes, tis surprisingly alright! Def tastes of salted caramel. Brew :)

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 13/10/2014 15:41

In the office I now have a magically refilling glass of water WinkGrin This is most definitely winning! Grin now to ensure they don't buy me gluten free stuff

Not weighed this morning. Hope to remember tomo but more likely to be wed at this rate as it is an insane week with insane family politics to go on top of crazy work stuff. I can do this and i will do this.

AF is the pita for weight isn't it. I am not hopeful for this weeks weigh in for that reason. But it is the highs and lows of a long term change of woe.

Citrasun · 13/10/2014 15:45

2lb down for me this week, which I'm very happy with.

Will continue with Bootcamp during the week & Bootcamp light at weekends.

HumphreyCobbler · 13/10/2014 15:48

Hello everyone
Well done to everyone. I don't weigh so have no loss to report, but am FEELING thinner Grin

Livelongandprosper · 13/10/2014 16:55

STS again this week although my clothes tell me differently. I have really ramped up the exercise so I think I'll try measuring to see if there's any change that way. Humphrey I feel thinner too!

aNoteToFollowSo · 13/10/2014 17:17

Just made a delish soup: roasted pumpkin, garlic, onion, chillis in the oven. Then whizzed it up with some stock. Added a bit of fresh ginger and a big spoon of heavy cream. Even the family liked it, though I blended a first batch without chili for the DC. Now looking greatly forward to suppertime!Smile

ChesterDrawers · 13/10/2014 17:51

Oh, I don't live near a Waitrose Sad. I'm going to quite a big Tesco so will have a look there.

wombat22 · 13/10/2014 18:22

Hello everyone. Started again today. Been mainly lo carbing since the last boot camp but ready to join again and have been following the threads. I will be doing bootcamp lite and seeing how that goes. Great to see so many good losses. Well done all Grin

FannyBurney · 13/10/2014 18:27

Hello everyone. I'm hanging on in there and despite some wine both weekends, I've lost weight and wore my old (hopelessly out of date) jeans without being cut in half by the waistband. Small but meaningful landmark ??

readyforno2 · 13/10/2014 18:29

Today I've had
B - yog and double cream
No lunch as I was cleaning and kinda lost track of time
D - pork mince with mashed cauliflower and courgette fried in butter

Jocastafantastica · 13/10/2014 19:04

STS until Friday then went haywire on the weekend, now back up 2lbs making a total loss of two pounds, bit cross with myself but resolved to be good now!

BestIsWest · 13/10/2014 19:43

Weighing tomorrow but expecting to have STS.Scales have been all over the place this week.

ClashCityRocker · 13/10/2014 19:44

Good to see people being positive!

Today's food -

B - coffee with cream
L - Two scrambled eggs
T - smoked haddock with brocoli

I got a comment today at work that my trousers are looking baggy, which was nice as no one really knows I'm trying to lose weight! Really trying to focus on non-scale wins in anticipation of the dreaded slow down/stop...

TwoflowersLuggage · 13/10/2014 19:45

I'm 1.5lbs down this week so that's 9.8lbs in total. Really happy with that.
I'm going to stick with Bootcamp for the moment - with the option of a weekend glass of wine if I get desperate!

BetterTogether · 13/10/2014 20:34

Hi everyone. Hope everyone's having a good start to week 3!

Only 0.8lb loss for me this week, but I wasn't expecting much as I've had a bit of a crap time at home lately. Food hasn't slipped too badly (although I may have had a couple of glasses of wine at the weekend) but I just haven't had the energy to plan decent meals - so not enough veg & lots of babybels keeping me going!!

Still 4.8lbs in 2 weeks is not bad going. And I now weigh 10st 13.4lbs so broke the 11st barrier (just!!) Smile

Today has been a slightly better day.

B - at work so can only really have picky bits to eat at my desk (or get up earlier to eat at home - not likely to happen until life settles down unfortunately!) - a pack of Parma ham with some goats cheese
L - leftover pork belly with courgette slices fried in coconut oil
E - really hard spinning class + weights in the gym
D - scrambled eggs with double cream, chorizo & spinach
Plenty of water Smile

No plan for tomorrow yet though...I used to be so good at meal planning, need to get back into it!

Figrus · 13/10/2014 21:56

1 pound loss for me giving 3 pound total. Im going to up the exercise this week.

Tanukisan · 13/10/2014 22:25

Thank you Sayra Thanks.

Well done everyone, we're doing marvellously!

scousadelic · 13/10/2014 22:38

I have been away visiting DS in London and I'm afraid was a bit naughty as we were there to celebrate DH's birthday so have STS but am back on track now

CrabbyTheCrabster · 13/10/2014 23:38

Just marking place. Smile

BestIsWest · 14/10/2014 05:51
