Welcome everyone! I'm starting the thread early because I have to be up and out of the house at stupid o'clock tomorrow morning.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to enter your starting weight

If you don't want to put your weight on the public spreadsheet, you can enter it on the weight tracker. (This probably won't be available until tomorrow morning)

If you've joined up very recently, and your name isn't on the spreadsheet, just add it on at the bottom - the very lovely SayraT will re-alphabetize everything later.

Sorry BIWI! Carbs by my definition equals bread, cake, spuds etc.

It never occurs to me that other veg has carbs :) so this is going to be interesting.

Is coleslaw ok as long as I watch out for sugar?

Littlepinkpear · 30/09/2014 14:42

CQ massive hugs from me xxxx

Pisseslikeahorse · 30/09/2014 14:52

CQ - so sorry to hear that, be strong and enjoy what you can together. Smile

CrabbyTheCrabster · 30/09/2014 15:23

CQ so very sorry to hear that. What a terrible blow. Sad

LittlePink if you go to the spreadsheet of fabulousness (link in the OP), there are tabs telling you the rules of bootcamp and giving you carb counts of vegetables. In the initial two weeks you should be eating veg that have 3% carbs (so 3g of carbohydrate per 100g of the item) or less. Check the carb count if you're buying coleslaw, and the ingredients list, as they often contain sugar in the dressing and lots of carrot, which is too carby.

prettybird · 30/09/2014 16:05

Weighed myself last night and again this morning 11stone 11lb BlushBlush

I had done so well on previous Boot Camps and even up to the summer holidays but just recently went off the rails Sad

....still, onwards and upwards - or rather, downwards! Wink

...must go and have more water..... Grin

Scarletohello · 30/09/2014 16:17

Hi all just wanted to say I started low carbing ( again) 2 weeks ago and have lost half a stone, mainly off my tummy! It's such a great feeling to watch the scales going the right way. Once you get into the swing of it, it's fine, just plan ahead and make sure you're not hungry then you won't crave carbs. Another stone to go....

rybka13 · 30/09/2014 16:21

CQ sorry to hear that, horrible news...

Hobbes8 · 30/09/2014 16:22

CQ I'm so sorry about your friend. I'm sure she'll appreciate your support x

rybka13 · 30/09/2014 16:35

B: eggs on butter, big clice of salami type sausage
L: turkey roast with fatty skin, green salad, 2 tbsp mayo (hellmans as low in carb), half of tomato ( i know, i know, couldn't resist), gherkhin
black coffe with teaspoon of coconut oil
D: bolognese (homemade) sauce but nearly no sauce-meat dense...me cooking, goddess save us, caulilower rice
so far 6 pints of water wow!
checked weight again today and im 5 pounds heavier than yesterday...looks like our household needs decent scales haha
attacked by birthday cake by some friends I discovered in panic amazing excuse "sorry, i would love to but im on gluten free diet" and it is not a lie!
worked the treat like a miracle, closer friends know about low carbing

Hobbes8 · 30/09/2014 16:40

Ooh good cake strategy, rybka! I got accosted by a scary intimidating woman bearing cupcakes earlier and could have done with that quick thinking.

In other news I've solved my fridge-free dinner dilemma. I have courgettes, so the kids can have pasta and I can have courgette noodles, with tuna and philadelphia sauce.

MrsHerculePoirot · 30/09/2014 16:41

crabby please can I have the recipe for crustless quiche?

aNoteToFollowSo · 30/09/2014 16:45

Hello everyone, how's today going? I feel like I'm doing my first proper day today - yesterday was a learning curve.

B: two boiled eggs, tea with full cream milk
L: salmon salad with baby corn and bean sprouts (I know, I know but I bought a pack of them yesterday and dont want to waste it. It's finished now so it's low carb veg for me from now on)
Snack: chicken leg (oh okay a bit more than a leg) with skin on and half an avocado.

Planning lots of low carb veg in butter plus smoked mackerel for supper.

I'm battling to leave out the lemon. Both the roast chicken and the avo had a bit of lemon squeezed over them. I havent yet found a low carb mayonnaise so it will be easier to avoid the lemon juice once I do.

1.5 L of water so far today. Will manage at least another half a litre, maybe more.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 30/09/2014 16:49

CQ Lovely am really sorry to hear your sad news, so sorry life has been so cruel. Huge hugs from me too xx

Day is going well, food wise at least!

Littlepinkpear · 30/09/2014 16:57

Can someone add me to the spreadsheet? I can't get it working on my ipad.

Littlepinkpear 147lbs weigh date 29th

BIWI · 30/09/2014 16:58

CQ - I'm so, so sorry to hear your news Sad Feel free to shout, wail, vent here - we're all here to support you, and not just in your diet

BIWI · 30/09/2014 16:59

Littlepinkpear - if you look on the recipe thread there is, I think, a recipe for home-made coleslaw, that's really easy and is pretty low carb. The problem with bought ones is that the carb counts can be really pretty high - you'll be lucky to find anything lower than 6g carbs per 100g, and it's very easy to eat a lot of it

Manic day in work and came home to cat shit, puke and wee and a smug dog with a look that said it was him Grin I'm blaming DH because we wormed the cat last night and I'd 'made' steak pies for DS a tin of M&S stewed steak and a pack of puff pastry and left the spare one in the microwave for tonight and dickhead DH left it out when he warmed some milk for his bedtime drink Angry so I came down this morning to just the bottom layer of pastry.

The plus side is I didn't succumb to the hometime munchies so food today has been

B - leftover courgette fritatta
L - salad with LMD's birdseed chicken
T - spicy steak and braised cabbage
W - not enough but I've been sipping hot water and lemon/herbal teas through the day
S - just enjoying my first only coffee with cream for the day

FolknNorah · 30/09/2014 18:25

I'm sorry to hear your news cq

Well, just here to shout my shit really Grin

3 litres done
B - BPC and two buttery eggs
D- green leaf salad and.... Oh yes tuna!
T - bacon bits, courgette, buttery mushrooms and egg. I felt like a treat so had my fry up today.

What 'treats' would you recommend? It's my birthday next week...

StuntNun · 30/09/2014 18:32

Rybka I used the gluten-free diet excuse at the baby and toddler group I go to and they started buying gluten-free biscuits just for me! Blush

BetterTogether · 30/09/2014 18:57

I'm so sorry to hear about your dear friend CQ Sad Flowers

This is the first chance I've had to sit down all day - very busy day at work, then swimming, and then "emergency" trip to the supermarkets as Tesco cancelled my online order I was expecting last night Angry it meant breakfast was a real struggle as I had no eggs! Don't think I've done too badly though, considering lack of food & lack of time to eat!

B: coffee and some salami (not ideal I know, I would normally boil some eggs the night before as mornings are a huge rush)
L: large tin of tuna mixed with lots of mayo & lots of diced cucumber
D1: I was hungry by the time I finally got home at 6.30pm, especially after swimming, so I've just eaten a small tub of egg & bacon sandwich filler - again, I know not ideal, it was the best tub at 2.8g carbs/100g
D2: is in the oven at the moment - duck breast with pak choy, I can't wait!
& then I'm back out again in an hour for a meeting - exhausted today, so glad tomorrow is my day off work!!!

TaffyandTeenyTaffy · 30/09/2014 19:06

Don't think its been a great eating day but so far ....
B - sliced ham
L - cottage cheese (not sure if this was ok? - but better than the sandwich/pasta alternative) and salad
T - prawns, boiled eggs, mayo
Lots of green/mint tea and water
In need of a bit of inspiration as I'm not quite in the LCB zone yet.

Pisseslikeahorse · 30/09/2014 19:13

Evening all - DP has just claimed 10lb loss due to passive boot camping Grin

B. BPC slice of very fatty ham
7k Fartlek run
L. mince curry & egg
D. Pork chop & Cauliflower mayo
Water 9Pts / 3 coffee

BestIsWest · 30/09/2014 19:43

Evening all, spreadsheet updated.

B. eggs in a cup with butter and salt, couple of spoons of Lifl Greek yoghurt. Coffee with double cream.
L. Chicken thigh with salad, avocado and a tiny amount of pest. This was lush.
D. Chicken breast with salad, guacamole, Mayo. 2spoons of greek yoghurt.

Snack - cubes of cheddar.

Water 2 litres so far.

SayraT · 30/09/2014 19:43

spreadsheet stuff I think I have updated/added everyone onto the spreadsheet that has asked. Yongnian you didn't give me a starting weight to put on so if you let me know I can add it for you.

Spamm I don't know why you always have problems with the spreadsheet!

Can anyone else who needs things added to the spreadsheet please highlight it in their posted by making it bold so that it is easier for me to spot when scanning. Pretty busy just now with various things and might not have time to read full thread every day.

Not an ideal day again! Not enough veg and too much protein, I need to get organised!

B: Mushrooms fried in butter, coffee with cream
L: Smoked salmon (was supposed to have salad with it but work had ran out!)
S: Melon....not ideal but was very hungry and nothing LC at all, everyone else was eating Roses and Quality Street!!
D: Rump steak, cauliflower cheese
S: Two frankfurters (on way home very hungry had to stop to buy something)

BIWI · 30/09/2014 19:45

Taffy - you need more veg! Cottage cheese is OK, as long as it was full fat and not low fat/lite/'healthy'

If you need inspiration, look at the recipe thread. You will very quickly fall off the wagon if you don't get on top of it and start planning lovely things to eat/cook!
