Well, finally, we reach the finish line! One more week to shout your shit.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And the Weight Tracker

Hope the results are positive for you today - and that the rest of this week gives you time to drop another pound or two.

Evening all! Back home from an amazing weekend.

I am not going to tell you what I ate (or drank), but suffice to say I did it all mindfully Grin

Crabby - sorry you're virus-ridden - hope you're better soon

monkey - that all looks fine, but tell me you're eating some protein with that?

Stuntnun - smoked salmon, of course! [doh] Thank you. :)

Crabby - get well soon :)

Eva - they're more likely to be grass fed, yes, but not necessarily. I mean, the cows almost certainly will be because I'm pretty sure all dairy cows in the UK are pasture fed; in the USA (where the book I'm reading is from) there are factory farmed dairy cattle who never see the light of day Shock and their products have no vit K2. In Australia, they're pretty much all pasture fed too so that's a relief! The more orangey (or deeper yellow) your butter /egg yolks etc, the more likely they are to be grass-fed, because it shows a higher level of beta carotene, which the animals take in at the same time as the green stuff from grass. Yellow animal fat on your meat shows the same thing. Apparently, according to the book, some markets (e.g. the Japanese) prize white fat more, so feeds have been experimented with to reduce the yellow tinge, removing all the grass-based feeds and leaving them purely on grain/protein. Not so healthy!

ooh, BIWI, DH took me to Rick Stein's for my birthday last year - seriously one of the best meals I've ever had. And Judi Dench was there!!

Whoosh your interview sounds much scarier than mine was! Fingers crossed for you.

Had a lovely day out which involved lunch at Prezzo (big salmon and avocado salad) and wandering round a market - came away with strawberries, aubergine and somehow four pieces of cheese for £1... Now eating strawberries and cream before bed...

BIWI · 23/03/2014 08:49

Didn't see any celebs, and even missed the fact that apparently Rick Stein was standing right behind me, as we were checking out!

But lovely food and a really lovely place. We even managed to avoid the various rain showers and thunder, thankfully.

And back on the wagon today, starting with a PT session at the gym.

Thanks BIWI and that meal sounds fabulous! We visited Padstein a few years ago - beautiful place - but sadly couldn't afford to eat there. Would love to though.

Thanks Thumb. Am feeling a bit more human today.

DurhamDurham · 23/03/2014 09:39

Felix the fondue party was fab.I ate copious amounts of beef, chicken, some prawns, veg and cheese.

( I then ate melted chocolate with strawberries and marshmallows but did it 'mindfully' so that's allowed Grin Grin)

Only had one glass of wine which deserves a pat on the back as I offered a whole lot more.

WhooshFuckerFairy · 23/03/2014 13:08

Well - I have to say .... I am broken ! Just went to a new class at the gym called '24' - so called as only 24 mins .... Let's just say - I am broken - but loved it , 'burpees' ' tombstones' and all sorts of unheard of terms with a young gorgeous man shouting and trying to look strict and yet secretly couldn't help laughing at us begging for Zumba !

trashy that party tale did make me chuckle - just before I 'met' all you fab virtual viper mates , my Dd1 ( nearly 17) persuaded us to let her have a New Year's Eve party .... We had strict strict rules . Strict invite list - all naice kids (!) , spoke to all parents , supervised the arrival and searched all bags for any alcohol or substances (!!- dd1 mortified of course) . We made them eat supper .. We provided weak beers ,some wine - that was it . We 'popped' out for a quick supper so they had some time without the parents .... We were out for about 90 mins ! Total carnage when we got back !!! Dd1 beside herself as she couldn't understand how it had all changed so quickly ! Poor boys couldn't take their beers - lots of vomit ! The girls were all dancing and fine ! And there was one naked couple in my bed !!! Aaaggghhhh ! I did a bit of sex/ health education - as you can imagine :-)

Find out tomorrow re: interview/job ..... Feel very relaxed now , it was murder - so I expect the right person will have found it less so . It was good practice and experiences have been stored for the next time one of these posts comes up !

GatoradeMeBitch · 23/03/2014 14:05

Oh crap... I made another really stupid mistake. I just assumed - don't know why, I'm just a moron - that jelly cubes are sugar free. They are SO not. I've been wolfing this stuff down this week. I estimate I've eaten over 90g of carbs just through jelly!!

It's good for me in one way, the gelatin is beneficial for another health problem I have, but still! At least it doesn't seem to have had a horrific effect on the scales, I've gained a pound, but I've had several slips lately, so it's not too bad.

CrabbySpringyBottom · 23/03/2014 16:13

Quick question/comment. Did someone on here mention recently that they have endometriosis, or am I completely imagining that? Confused

Pretty comprehensive clinical review of it in the BMJ this week if so... am happy to C&P the full article in a PM. I'm sure someone mentioned it recently but I'm damned if I can remember who/where!

MrsHerculePoirot · 23/03/2014 16:29

gatorade sugar free ones are sugar free... Is that helpful ;)

GatoradeMeBitch · 23/03/2014 18:59

Do sugar free ones taste as nice? I still have some of the full sugar stuff in the fridge, I might just have it, then ubercamp for a few days for balance!

By the way, this may have been discussed already but I only just saw it. You can currently get £25 of free meat with Ocado, explained on this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/a2019389-Ocado-shoppers-25-of-free-meat-pies-ice-cream

MrsHerculePoirot · 23/03/2014 19:08

Yes, I don't mind them at all. I am diabetic so have tended to have sugar free jelly more than most probably! Although I think they are usually the ones made from granules rather than cubes... I am also assuming they still have gelatin in, which they might not I suppose!

Mouth licking ...... ! dirty bitch Grin

SayraT · 24/03/2014 07:59

Morning everyone Grin

Can't believe this is the last day Sad though I am carrying on so will see you all on the continuation thread until the next BC.

I want to say a huge thank you to you all, I have tried and failed to lose weight many times (as have many others, I'm sure) but finally I feel that I am making progress and can actually do this.

To BIWI thank you for starting this, your BC threads are what made me join MN, I saw that many others had success with this WOE and tried to follow the threads as a lurker. That didn't work so I just had to join and when I joined in and was supported by so many others on the same weight-loss journey everything just seemed to fall into place.

Thank you willie for the spreadsheet, it can't be easy and as much as I like the weight-tracker the spreadsheet helps you to remember that you are not alone.

Everyone else thank you for being here, chatting, sharing ups and downs. I feel I have got to know some of you really well and hope we can carry on downwards together Thanks

Thanks to you all I have managed to lose a total of 21 lbs on BC, I can see and feel a difference and I couldn't have done it without you.

Right, enough of this before I start thanking the dog etc Grin

SayraT · 24/03/2014 08:04

Sorry, I was lying! I've lost 20 lbs Grin

Suzymoo9 · 24/03/2014 08:24

Hello I'm still here too and echo all Sarya T has said above. Will be carrying on also Smile.

NeverEndingLaundry · 24/03/2014 08:42

Hello. I've only done 2 weeks but I wait eagerly for the next bootcamp! Thank you everyone for being here to inspire me and fill me with confidence. I'm so grateful. I've lost only 4lbs, but TOTM and wine.

I've set up a little home bootcamp tick-box list for myself for the next 2 weeks and stuck it on the kitchen cupboard. It has a box for each day containing 10 mini-boxes, one for each rule. Gosh I'm strict.

Just incidentally, anyone got any advice about Mirena coil? Mine's time is nearly up and I wonder if there's any truth in the idea that they make you fat, depressed etc? I know drs tend to say not, and there are plenty other reasons for my being both, but I'm thinking I'll have it taken out and not replaced. I'm 40.

GatoradeMeBitch · 24/03/2014 09:14

221 today, so I lost 17lbs on this bootcamp. Considering I had several slips, (including several just in this last week...) I'm very happy with that, thanks BIWI and willie Smile

I'm hoping to be a regular on the continuation thread, I have a long way to go, and in the words of some famous old courtesan I need to 'bring my desires to heel like whipped spaniels' instead of having them charging rampantly around my head!

StuntNun · 24/03/2014 09:31

STS for the third week in a row so I might be due for a whoosh. Still 5 lb off this Bootcamp so I've lost the weight I put on around Christmas when I was struggling with depression. Onwards and downwards for me. I've started exercising a bit more lately which might mess with the weight loss so I'm not going to be so fussed about what's on the scale as I can see more muscle now even if it is disguised by a layer of flab!

I have experimented with daily weighing this week and my weights this week were:
134 lb 3.5 oz
133 lb 2 oz
132 lb 0 oz
132 lb 4 oz
132 lb 14 oz
134 lb 3.5 oz
132 lb 0 oz
So my weight is fluctuating up and down by over two pounds even from one day to the next. If just goes to show how much difference water retention or one carby twat day can make to your weight and mask any real weight loss. I'm definitely going to keep using the True Weight app as the weighted moving average makes a lot more sense to me than daily weighing which I can't resist and wait until once a week to weigh.

Thumbwitch · 24/03/2014 09:35

Can't believe it's been 10 weeks! I will be carrying on for sure. Thanks BIWI for all your input, hard work and stick-wielding! ThanksGrin
