Oh my word, I've missed all of this excitement!!
I couldn't for the oife of me work out last night on ipad why my password was suddenly not working - it was only this morning when checked email on laptop that
I discovered the security thing.
Huge congratulations to LMiss on the new/old job!
Huge congratulations too for:
Trashy on your beautiful baby Rudi. You've got me singing 'Message to you Rudy' incessantly in my head now! You've got a gorgeous face to match the body and fancy undies, btw.
Whoosh on your impending foxy labrador motherhood. I've got puppy envy!

Pseudo on your latest weightloss. Not sure you should be butting into the animal mad thread with that info though. Oh hang on...
Sayra on your new WCMM arrivals! Now I have a confession, which I've been too ashamed to make on PFK because they've all been so supportive and giving me very sensible advice about not getting any more fish until Poorly Platy is entirely recovered... you can see where this is going, can't you...
I had the thought that as Poorly Platy hasn't been eating and seemed to be triggered to feed by the WCMMs when he shared a tank with them (he can only see out of one eye), that maybe having tankmates again might perk him up. He seems to be on the mend and I'm fairly confident that the filter is coping ok due to the mature media in there from the other filters. I know it wasn't the best plan, but allowed myself to be persuaded by the sweet lass in the fish shop (and DD) and came home with three WCMMs; two females and a male. I've put a shedload of beneficial bacteria in there too, which might be snake oil but I hope will help. Water parameters are all fine so far.
That was on Saturday, and last night we were astonished to see the male and one of the females getting frisky in the hornwort.
Lots of shivering and shimmying and him wrapping his tail around her. Today there was lots more of that, but done with more finesse...they'd obviously been practising overnight.
He's also been chasing the other female around and flashing his gorgeous colours at her. She's bloated with eggs but wasn't playing ball at all this morning. Her attitude has definitely softened over the course of today though, and by this evening she was chasing him back. It's all done the trick with Poorly Platy too - he's started eating little bits again, looks much perkier and has even started to chase the big female a bit too. It must be something in the water.
I couldn't see any eggs/sperm coming out when they were spawning, but I'm hoping very much that we'll have fry in a couple of days. They should be ok as there's nobody to eat them apart from the parents, the half-blind geriatric and five shrimp (I got another trio on Sunday). I know
I'm a bad and irresponsible fishkeeper, but it's so lovely to watch them all - we've spent hours gazing at them. I hope I'll have some fry pictures for you soon.
