Here's The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And The Weight Tracker

By now, if everyone has been following Bootcamp/Bootcamp Light rules properly then we should all be keto-adapted, and should be burning fat. Yippee!!

Hope everyone has a good week.

Bleugh. Crumble is gorgeous and I probably had a slightly too large portion but I feel really uncomfortably full now. Not surprising really as I have got used to not having dessert. Still it was worth it! Even DS2 loved it which I'm surprised about as it's sugarless Shock

AthelstaneTheUnready · 11/02/2014 21:42

Dire, dismal day HOWEVER it is snowing, so all is forgiven.

can't possibly catch up as must go to bed - will try tomorrow. for now - Must Drink More Water. i'm sliding and can feel the difference.

night, all.

BIWI · 11/02/2014 21:47

TossedSaladsandScrambledEggs - can you link to it? I can't find it, but not quite sure which website/where you are!

Therein I have always had to make separate meals whether on this WOE or not - I'm a pescatarian who married a confirmed meat-eater. And our kids also have their own likes and dislikes. Every day the key task is just to get as many common elements between some of the 4 different plates as we can manage.

Seriouslion I have had weeks where I gained too - its a fluctuating sort of loss. Frustrating at the time I agree... but best to keep on keeping on (while looking out for any cheats). and I basically do no more than one yoga class a week by the way

Crabby ouch, your poor DD. You must be feeling quite irritated with XDP.

StuntNun can you list out your menu which had such an amazing carb-protein-fat ratio please?

trashcanjunkie · 11/02/2014 22:01

Oh I have had such a lovely evening with my dcs tonight. They are great fun and I actually enjoy their company and listening to what they have to say. I had such a different experience with my first - everything was a battle. Who knew age and experience could prove so worthwhile 2nd and 3rd time round eh? Grin

Anyway, enough sentimental twoddle - food for the day

B - 3 black farmers daughters chipolatas, 2 eggs, slice of beef tomato and 3 mushrooms all fried in a small brick of butter/ cup of rooibos (black)

L - A few stems of sprouting broccolli and 2 (handmade by me) lamb patties fried in butter

S - Mr Porky pork scratchings

D - Pak Choi leaves and a salmon steak fried in butter

Drinks 4+ litres of water and still going.

crabby I think you are so excellent. Hopefully dd will be healed up in a few days time. I'd want to skelp my dcs dad for such iodene fuckwittery.

ewan thanks! yes it has been a fucking expensive bollocking time Grin - good luck 'yellow labelling' today, we basically hoard up anything meat based we find in the reduced section and bung it straight in the freezer! bloody marvellous.

prettybird that is excellent news Grin

Had a fantastic stride through 'my office' the park today on the old ankle. I'm sure coming off sugar has made an enormous difference to the pain and swelling. Well something has anyway! My hair is so soft and shiny at the moment, my skin is glowing, no bags under my eyes, and I was at the dentist last week. As an ex-smoker (one year quit) I have always had bollockings for my gums. This time she said they were perfect (although I'm pretty sure that's to do with my obsession with oral health not my diet) but I felt so good about my self.

For those of you who are still struggling with the scales, I am too. My losses have been negligable so far, but all of these other factors must be taken into consideration. I also 'measured' my waist last week with a piece of ribbon and tied a knot to mark the place. When I re-measured today, I was fully expecting no/minimal change the damn thing was over an inch difference - I was chuffed to fuck.

Stay strong my lovely losers

GatoradeMeBitch · 11/02/2014 22:15

I just finished a six pack of babybels - where does that come on the sin scale? Not too bad?

StuntNun · 11/02/2014 22:42

Eva my food today wasn't usual because I'm trying to ubercamp but I can't eat eggs or mayonnaise so the ubercamp meal plans don't work for me. Plus I decided on a whim to go to the Odeon baby showing of Robocop (yes really) which was at noon so I missed lunch apart from a bag of pork scratchings in the cinema.

B: tea, four slices of streaky bacon (fried in water), mushrooms fried in loads of butter, BPC
L: pork scratchings
Drinks: water, BPC, herbal tea, water, tea, water, another herbal tea, more water
D: roast chicken (thighs, wings and extra skin), steamed broccoli with melted butter poured over

According to MFP that came in at 2188 calories so I certainly haven't starved myself.

Tomorrow will be:
B: four slices of oven-baked streaky bacon, mushrooms fried in butter, BPC
L: thin cut sirloin steak, baby spinach leaves and red little gem lettuce in homemade vinaigrette
D: roast chicken thighs, courgettes fried in butter

BIWI · 11/02/2014 22:46

StuntNun - you do know that there is a version of Ubercamp without eggs, don't you? A couple of things use mayo, but only two, I think.

Re. Rh pos or neg, that's not supposed to make a difference, no. Ah well, it's always interesting to see others' experiences! :)

DS1's tum is fine thank you - turns out it was all a bit dramatic, he was spoken sharply to by the teacher because he was arguing with her, and she said that the colour just drained out of his face and he suddenly clutched his stomach and said it hurt - so it was definitely an adrenaline hit. Silly boy. I was on tenterhooks all night though, because a girl in his class had gone home sick the day before, sort of been fine and eaten her dinner, then started throwing up at 10pm and gone through the night!
AND I had a bad turn myself while sorting washing out of the drier - suddenly felt really sick, had to stand up, then came out in even more of a sweat and got stomach cramps! Was really worried that it was actually a bug and that I had already caught it! But, an hour later, all was fine and I went to bed with no incident (but with a bowl by the side just in case!)

Everyone fine this morning, phew! :)

Today so far I have had a slice of cheese and nothing else; but plan to be very good apart from the cherries which are good for you anyway
I made more parmesan crisps yesterday, they are so good! Just have to keep the DSs away from them! Grin
L - not sure but possibly tinned mackerel salad;
D - turkey breasts - haven't decided how to cook them yet, might roast them with lots of butter and have swede mash (leftover from last night)

StuntNun · 11/02/2014 22:50

EvaTheOptimist · 11/02/2014 23:07

Thanks Stunt really impressed that that is 79% fat, it just looks like normal food to me now. Well done, hopefully it will do the trick.

MrsHugh my first thought on your menu was Yum, delicious. But if it was me I might have cream a little less often - you had it at 2 meals and in coffee. Depends - if you are losing anyway it doesn't matter.

CrabbyWinterBottom · 11/02/2014 23:45

Hugh your menu looked fine to me.

Gatorade that 10lbs will have gone from the bit that you can't see in the changing rooms. Everyone else will notice though. Wink

Thanks Pretty. I've sent him a list of links talking about its propensity to cause burns too.

Chester the emoticons don't work if you put any capitals in. Sensitive little things. And yes I've been getting through several tubs of clotted cream a week. Blush

Sayra yes I can understand that. It's lovely that they have independent shops but sometimes you just want to nip in, get everything on your list in one place and get out out again without having to make conversation with several different shopkeepers! DD has an NZ passport, the lucky little tyke, as xDP was brought up there, so she could go and live there when she's older if she liked. Envy

Thanks Love and Eva. I'm trying hard not to be a bit cross with xDP. He did what he thought was best at the time and it's easy for me to think what I would have done instead when I'm not actually there. The irony is he's usually too very quick to seek medical attention for things and I'm much more wait-and-see. I have asked him not to use iodine on her before though. Part of the problem was that they were on an island for a few days and he didn't think that there was a doctor there. Anyway hopefully she'll have got the dressings off yesterday as they were going to the Dr after we spoke.

Trashy Grin at iodine fuckwittery! If I told you how badly sunburned he let her get the first time he ever took her on holiday..... Angry Sad
Hurrah for your mending ankle and your diminishing waist! Flowers

Kate and Chester I'm glad you like the crumble! Smile It's terrifyingly moreish.

Stunt do you hate avocado so much you had to beg twice? Grin

Food today
L - crustless quiche
S - I'm sure you can guess...
D - smoked mackerel with celeriac dolphin pose and a few green beans (Waitrose own which are only 3.2% carbs, lower than on the list I think).
P - the final portion of crumble and clotted cream. Now I just have to resist the temptation to make more!
3L water, 3 cups tea. A square of 85% chocolate too.

I put the chocolate tart recipe up, although I haven't done the super-duper timings chart yet.
feastwithoutregret.wordpress.com/2014/02/11/low-carb-chocolate-tart/

StuntNun · 12/02/2014 06:38

Eva there was rather a lot of butter involved. Grin Not to mention almost all of the chicken skin, pork scratchings and coconut oil. Normally I eat berries, more veggies, yoghurt, cream and a little bit of 85% chocolate.

I could probably choke down avocado if I had to Crabby but it's forever associated with a food poisoning incident for me so I generally avoid it. Funny really as I'm totally not a fussy eater.

BIWI · 12/02/2014 06:40

Whilst I think that chocolate tart sounds lovely, Crabby, and I note that you did also post a warning - can I just point out to you all that berry crumble and chocolate tart do not necessarily a low carb diet make? Just saying, you know?

Does anyone know if MyFitnessPal is particularly inaccurate? It said 21g carbs for me yesterday, or 14g if you subtract the fibre, but reading the labels and looking at the spreadsheet veg carb counter it should have come in at well below 10g of carbs for the day.

morning

woke up wondering where heliumheart is - is she alright? i haven't seen anything in ages, but then i haven't had time to read everything in ages. is she just uber busy with the hearing stuff?

Lovecat · 12/02/2014 07:38

Stunt, I find that MFP is great for calories and fat content, but a bit slapdash for some other stuff. Given that anyone can input stuff into it, it's a bit like Wiki - you have to find the 'right' type of your food and even then hope that someone's put it in accurately.

If you're reading your labels and have a decent carb counter (the Collins Little Gem one is brilliant) then I'd trust your own calculations.

SayraT · 12/02/2014 08:09

I don't know Athelstane I'm sure someone else asked a while back.

I am so sad. I think I regret having my delicious chocolates last night yes, I did eat more than one Sad

I couldn't sleep last night and woke up with a headache, I've always had headaches but it occurred to me this morning that I've not had one for ages (at least since I started LCing). That means the chocolate gave me a headache, I am going to take the rest in to work and make everyone else eat them. Won't be doing that again, even a yummy chocolate isn't worth a sore head Sad

Today

B: Sausages and coffee with cream
L: Don't know, getting lunch at work because I am doing some training thing for teachers
D: Pork belly slices and vegetables

Very stiff this morning after playing some very hard badminton yesterday, one person left early and then there were only three off us so we played two against one. I was the one......and I won Grin

SayraT · 12/02/2014 08:11

Obviously I meant 'of' not 'off'

ChesterDrawers · 12/02/2014 08:35

Morning all, headache gone after a good nights sleep so it seems I'm not coming down with DS' bug so all good. Going to keep the food LC today so I can enjoy my remaining portion of berry crumble later Grin.

B: 1.5 slices belly pork, BPC
L: 1.5 slices belly pork
S: crumble and clotted cream, BPC
D: spag Bol (3G carbs from tomatoes), courgetti spaghetti

Can I ask how people cook belly pork? I've done it twice now and think I need a trip to the dentist. It's always so bloody chewy. First time I did a joint and followed Crabby's recipe and last night I did slices and cooked them on high for 20 mins then low for about and hour and 15. My jaw is killing me after breakfast so any tips much appreciated.

CalamityKate · 12/02/2014 09:13

I will tentatively say that I think I may be coming out of my stall.

I was 1/4lb down this morning but weighed before the school run. On my return, I had, um, a bit of a clear out...had I done that before weighing I'm pretty sure I'd have been at least 1/2lb down Grin

Definitely not hungry. Or at least its a very different hunger. More controllable iykwim? A calmer hunger. I'm still very wary of missing meals though because I fear getting too hungry and going silly.

BPC again this morning. Can't get over how lovely and creamy it is.

Shame Costa doesn't do them!
