chester I have found no dairy really tough my sympathies if that's the way you must go. I am in the 'just for today' mantra right now
ElBombero I totally salute you managing this with a young baby. When tiredness creeps in it's the fucking pits. You are an inspiration.
Tea So sorry useless dad has done a no show
that would utterly boil my piss. Hope you survived the afternoon of football and popcorn, and that ds was ok. I have had such a falling out with my scales from day bastard one. I weigh once a week for the purpose of weigh in and in case I need to re-evaluate dairy/portion sizes or see if I'm going drastically wrong anywhere. They've barely moved the whole time so far
but I started measuring my waist. I didn't use a tape measure cos I didn't want to be demotivated by a number, so I've been using a piece of ribbon and knotting it each week. It's been over an inch better each time, and I kid you not such a boost when all around you seems to be static
crabby you're right! there are tons of tasty dishes. Dp has been delighted with them, and we've eaten pork scratchings pretty much every day (a firm favourite in our house) er...that's ok isn't it BIWI
I have fallen into a slight rut over the last week of some type of meat/fish and spinach/kale/broccolli/pak choi but I feel like it's they only way to kick start things - anything higher up the carb ladder has fucked things up considerably. I'll re-find my will to cook a bit more adventurously soon hopefully.
myprecious my water drinking is my new religion. Worship is as follows (I have two 1l volvic bottles which I re-use)
Mornings - on waking, have a piss, then fill bottles up with tap water. Immediately down (even if it's painfully slowly) two thirds of a bottle and then carry it round sipping the rest. As soon as it's finished pick up the other bottle and continue sipping everywhere I go
When empty, re-fill both bottles and chug down as much as I can bear of first bottle, then continue sipping till empty. On beginning second bottle chug as much as poss, then switch to sipping. This means I've drunk what's required by early evening, and anything after that is bonus water, plus I now don't have to get up in the night for a piss.
Really boring, but it's now ingrained. The longest I'll go without sipping is when I'm in the park with dogs, so maybe an hour tops, and I've always got the 'current' bottle waiting in the car - which I'm gasping for by that point.
Humphrey I agree bf is very 'carb hungry making' good luck getting back on the wagon.
Dp and I went to a vintage fair today. I normally don't bother trying any of the stuff on cos I'm 5'11 and size 18/20. Today though, there was a fantastic jumper made from Icelandic wool and I tried it on and it fits beautifully (won't think about the fact it probs belonged to a muckle sailor) and will be great for work in the cold and just generally anyway.
Food today
B - bacon egg mushroom
L - roast beef spinach broccolli tips
D - (yet to happen) curried lamb
