Here's The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And The Weight Tracker

By now, if everyone has been following Bootcamp/Bootcamp Light rules properly then we should all be keto-adapted, and should be burning fat. Yippee!!

Hope everyone has a good week.

Thanks BIWI. You are right, I know that.

Right, as of tomorrow I am back on full on bootcamp. Dairy to a minimum, although I'll have to eat my broccoli and Stilton soup, and NO alcohol. I have got yo make this work, somehow.

Daisy put a sprig of rosemary under the skin of each chicken thigh, brush with melted butter, season then grill for 30-40 minutes. Serve with garlic mayo: fry a garlic clove or two in olive oil then add some mayo thinned with a little water, stir like mad and remove the garlic before serving.

Sticky lemon chicken: put (skin on) chicken thighs in an oven proof dish (which can also go on the hob - I have a le creuset frying pan). Drizzle over some olive oil. Scatter some unpeeled cloves in/around them. Squeeze over a lemon and then tuck the halves in amongst the thighs. Sprinkle with some seal salt. Put in to a hot oven (200C Fan, 220 conventional) for 40 minutes. At the end, if you want, you can deglaze the pan (having taken out the chicken, garlic cloves and lemon halves) with a small glass of wine/sherry or, if you're being good, water and bubble for a bit. Pour juices over the chicken and serve. Dead easy Smile

I had a Domino's gluten free pizza for lunch, I hope that's not too bad? I was famished and there's nothing in because I'm going away tomorrow. I had leftover steak for breakfast, but it was so dry I had to swallow each mouthful with water!

I'm just eating a bowl of sugar free jelly with two different types of cream Shock. I'm feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford to go to Prince tonight.

That's pretty similar to what we had Prettybird with tomatoes and olives as well. I rubbed salt, black pepper and dried thyme (from JOs spice grind mix) into the chicken. Tis lush! My kind of food Grin

lighthousekeeping have you tried mousse made with cream cheese and sf jelly? Tis nice with a splash of cream, some berries or on its own and makes you feel as if you've had a treat! I reckon a base of ground almonds and the the mousse would be quite a nice cheesecake

Gluten free pizza has just as many carbs as any other pizza, sorry. Hope you enjoyed it though!

Just had my daily truffle, I managed to make 20 out of one bar of 85% chocolate ( plus cream and butter and hazelnuts ) so they have less than 1g carb each.

chester I have found no dairy really tough my sympathies if that's the way you must go. I am in the 'just for today' mantra right now Sad

ElBombero I totally salute you managing this with a young baby. When tiredness creeps in it's the fucking pits. You are an inspiration.

Tea So sorry useless dad has done a no show Angry that would utterly boil my piss. Hope you survived the afternoon of football and popcorn, and that ds was ok. I have had such a falling out with my scales from day bastard one. I weigh once a week for the purpose of weigh in and in case I need to re-evaluate dairy/portion sizes or see if I'm going drastically wrong anywhere. They've barely moved the whole time so far Angry but I started measuring my waist. I didn't use a tape measure cos I didn't want to be demotivated by a number, so I've been using a piece of ribbon and knotting it each week. It's been over an inch better each time, and I kid you not such a boost when all around you seems to be static Grin

crabby you're right! there are tons of tasty dishes. Dp has been delighted with them, and we've eaten pork scratchings pretty much every day (a firm favourite in our house) er...that's ok isn't it BIWI

I have fallen into a slight rut over the last week of some type of meat/fish and spinach/kale/broccolli/pak choi but I feel like it's they only way to kick start things - anything higher up the carb ladder has fucked things up considerably. I'll re-find my will to cook a bit more adventurously soon hopefully.

myprecious my water drinking is my new religion. Worship is as follows (I have two 1l volvic bottles which I re-use)

Mornings - on waking, have a piss, then fill bottles up with tap water. Immediately down (even if it's painfully slowly) two thirds of a bottle and then carry it round sipping the rest. As soon as it's finished pick up the other bottle and continue sipping everywhere I go Hmm

When empty, re-fill both bottles and chug down as much as I can bear of first bottle, then continue sipping till empty. On beginning second bottle chug as much as poss, then switch to sipping. This means I've drunk what's required by early evening, and anything after that is bonus water, plus I now don't have to get up in the night for a piss.

Really boring, but it's now ingrained. The longest I'll go without sipping is when I'm in the park with dogs, so maybe an hour tops, and I've always got the 'current' bottle waiting in the car - which I'm gasping for by that point.

Humphrey I agree bf is very 'carb hungry making' good luck getting back on the wagon.

Dp and I went to a vintage fair today. I normally don't bother trying any of the stuff on cos I'm 5'11 and size 18/20. Today though, there was a fantastic jumper made from Icelandic wool and I tried it on and it fits beautifully (won't think about the fact it probs belonged to a muckle sailor) and will be great for work in the cold and just generally anyway.

Food today

B - bacon egg mushroom

L - roast beef spinach broccolli tips

D - (yet to happen) curried lamb

4litres water and two mega mugs of peppermint tea with coconut oil

Grin

prettybird I like the sound of seal salt, is it related to dolphin pose?!!? - joking aside that sounds tasty and simple.

Cooked randomly tonight, pork chops with spinach and ricotta and purple sprouting broccoli. DH had roasties and is currently wolfing sticky toffee pudding. Lucky thing. My resolve has returned fortunately, as has my high fat satiety. Very relaxed Sunday here, which is all good. Decongestant is still my friend.

In The Times yesterday there was a pull-out section of low carb recipes. DH cooks once a week after I threw a strop about it so decided to do the Chicken Tagine Traybake today and it was gorgeous. I made a homemade coleslaw to go with it and we finished the last of the chocolate filling for Crabbys tarts left from Friday. Very nice!

I'm glad BIWI did the "Step away from the scales" bit. This is only week 6 and this way of eating will not be sustainable if you get too focussed on constant weight loss, that way lies madness. Let's all just enjoy good food, better health and the trend being our friend!

Like many of you my DH has lost weight while doing a version of low carb that includes all sorts of things it shouldn't, including Tunnock's caramel wafers. When I questioned the logic of this he claimed there can't be many carbs in them because they feel light Hmm Bastard!

Good weekend overall except for some Valentine's cocktails on Friday with Mr Heir so fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Elbombero, I KNOW. It is really difficult. When I did this WOE last time I found it an utter revelation, I was only about a stone overweight and it didn't come off that fast but it didn't matter. I wasn't hungry, I felt wonderful, I stopped waking at night, my periods were no longer problematic.

I am finding it all much harder this time. I am in massive conflict with myself because I would like to stop breastfeeding ds3 at six months entirely but feel it would be selfish to do this for my own benefit. I have no worries about feeding whilst low carbing btw, it is just my feelings on the matter. I am a hormonal mess with J cup boobs

Oh crap Rinky. When my appetite gets the better of me common sense flies out of the window. I didn't enjoy it that much actually, I tend not to like substitute foods all that much, they often make me wish I was eating the real deal!

I just saw this little article on whole milk and butter. Interesting little chats in the comments jezebel.com/whole-milk-and-butter-make-people-skinny-now-says-scie-1523965144

ElBom and Humphrey I put on more weight breastfeeding than I did in pregnancy. It does seem to give some people, me included, the most enormous appetite. My lovely friend just slowly shrank to less than her pre-pregnancy weight Envy. I'm sure tiredness has a massive part to play also.

Gutted to have missed the pull out in the Times!

ElBombero · 16/02/2014 21:47

Aw Humphrey I feel the same, if I stopped feeding I know I would be less hungry, I could go to gym more and he would probably sleep a lot better (he uses me a lot for comfort) so all in all an easier life BUT he is my last baby. if I give up for selfish reasons I know I'll have major regrets in the future.

Today's foods were:
B: Fried eggs and coffee with coconut oil
L: Slice of silverside beef, cheese and 90% chocolate.
D: Smoked mackerel and broccoli cooked with butter and cream.

There's a sugar-free, gluten-free chocolate and raspberry cheesecake in the fridge now, and if my bowl licking is anything to go by, it tastes nice enough. :) I made the base with ground almonds and used some stevia for a bit of sweetness.

A bit dehydrated, a bit upset stomach, a bit headachy - I think more water should solve all this. Blush
