Wow! So much nattering that we've filled up the thread before the end of the week!

Here's the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for tomorrow morning.

And, for the Weight Tracker I'm not quite sure what happens with this link I think that you will be asked to enter your weight for this week and then you will see your individual graph.

I hope you all had a good week last week, and very good luck for week 2.

Happy Birthday Sayra and well done resisting cake!

ImATotJeSuisUneTot Not a fun day then... I hope your DD is okay, and well done not buying that chocolate!

heliumheart · 21/01/2014 20:46

SteelEye that looked delicious, if you thought that was lazy I just had a tomato/mozz/avo salad although the dressing was homemade.

Have a very stressful week ahead divorce-wise and my fridge is groaning from the weight of all the low-carb goodies. Feeling a bit daunted by how much food I have to eat before it all goes off!

prettybird · 21/01/2014 20:48

Dh is pleased that he hasn't given in to his pissed-offness and poured himself (and me) a glass of wine.

His scunnerdness was/is justified - his beloved Btwin road bike was stolen today while he was at a meeting in the centre of Glasgow Sad Some bastard came along with bolt cutters Angry

Turns out we were slight underinsured too (no bikes specified so maximum of £250 with £50 of that as excess) so it's going to cost us £150 by the time we've got the new pedals, lights and pump as well as the replacement bike Sad

EvaTheOptimist · 21/01/2014 20:49

Wow I hope your daughter's OK I'maTot.

MrsHugh I imagine you've sorted dinner by now but it sounded like a night for a low-carb Indian take-away to me!

B - scrambled egg & mushrooms (creature of habit)
L - tuna mayo salad
sneaky snacks - cheese
D - salmon, mashed swede, broccoli & cauli (butter involved in each element!)
another sneaky snack - small bowl of yogurt and cream

EvaTheOptimist · 21/01/2014 20:52

Happy Birthday Sayra that crumble sounds like the perfect birthday treat.

Poor Mr Prettybird thats very unfair.

SarahBeenysBumblingApprentice · 21/01/2014 21:13

My DeLouis opened ok!

Another benefit of LC - my children have discovered that they like proper mayo - that one might cost me in the long run though.

BIWI · 21/01/2014 21:14

Happy birthday, Sayra! Flowers

Durham Are you actually from or in Durham? DS went to uni there and we visited a few times. We all loved it.

I like the pic attached. It is how I have always felt on a diet until I found this way of eating

Ewan So is the rosti just celeriac? Nothing to bind it? I might try it but it sounds a bit scary, I'll probably end up with charred twiggy bits!

Maryz Try Twinings Liquorice Allsorts tea, it is sweet and lovely without that kind of funky, dusty aftertaste of the ordinary liquorice tea

Todays food is:
B - 3 rashers streaky bacon, 3 small eggs scrambled in butter with cream
L - 2 slices cheeseburger pie, would have had M&S king prawns and dipping sauce but I left it in the fridge at work and some bastard opened it and ate half! Angry
T - Sausage and chicken casserole with Slim Rice then an Atkins bar

NellVarnish · 21/01/2014 21:22

Oh :( hope your DD is ok ImATot

What is this talk of feta filled chillies and cream cheese balls from Lidl? Can we really eat them? I want some now.

supersal I felt nauseous all weekend, didn't fancy anything rich or buttery. Fancied cake though. Drank lots of water and thankfully the sicky feeling has passed. It felt like early pregnancy sickness, but my days for that are long gone. Hope you're feeling better.

A friend treated me to lunch on the run today as we were working like Trojans - sushi. My heart leapt with joy when I saw it as I love sushi, but sank a little when I thought I couldn't eat it though. Anyway I figured it would be rude not too, so I ate it. And it was delish.

So on the Scale of the Big Stick, how bad is it in case I succumb again?

to sybil, long time no see!

Thanks Happy birthday Sayra! Thanks

Jings, I do think I have used the whole range of MN brackets and stuff in this post Blush!

prettybird · 21/01/2014 21:23

Handsomebird (as he likes to think his MN names should be Wink) is currently desparately resisting having a whisky. Smile

To add insult to injury, he's having to fix a puncture on ds' bike. Just how you manage to get a puncture on a wheel that has only ever been used on the turbo inside the house is a mystery. Confused

BIWI · 21/01/2014 21:23

Nell - did it have rice in it? If so, it was probably pretty bad ...

NellVarnish · 21/01/2014 21:25

prettybird grrr to the stolen bike. Wee neds.

Scunnered is one of my favourite words. It's my default mode. Grin

NellVarnish · 21/01/2014 21:27

Oh no really BIWI? Well I won't have it again I promise. I drank loads of water and have had a fatty LC tea so hopefully not too much damage.

It was bloody lovely.

Queenmarigold · 21/01/2014 21:29

I've been doing low carb for 6 months and have lost 30lbs! Bought a pair of skinny jeans- size 14 and plenty big enough. Fab!

prettybird · 21/01/2014 21:29

He's given in Grin. He was going to have a port but I said whisky would be better on this WoE Wink although it's not very Boot Campish Hmm

NellVarnish · 21/01/2014 21:30

Could I make Bootcamp Sushi with cauliflower rice? Might give it a whirl.

NellVarnish · 21/01/2014 21:32

Oh congratulations Queenmarigold! Brilliant!

ElBombero · 21/01/2014 21:32

Just in gym and watched an old Horizon on low carbing on YouTube. What a pile of rubbish. The programme concluded that the diet was so successful as protein (not fat) lowers your appetite therefore you consume less calories (than a low fat dieter) over time.

ChesterDrawers · 21/01/2014 21:36

Euggghhhh, horrible headache all day. Day 21 so doubt carb flu but feeling awful anyway. Managed to stick with my plan anyway but hoping I'm not coming down with something.

DurhamDurham · 21/01/2014 21:39

Piscivorus I'm from Durham and live there again, moved down South at 18 and moved back at 38. Best thing we ever did. Glad to hear you all loved Durham, there's a lovely champagne bar there now....of course that's out of bounds at present Wine

Thumbwitch · 21/01/2014 21:44

Nell, I don't think the cauliflower rice would stick together enough to make a good sushi, but give it a go!

I'matot - your poor DD! hope she's ok now

Prettybird - argh to your DH losing his bike and being underinsured - infuriating and upsetting. I loathe thieves. Angry

crabby - Grin

BIWI - looking forward to the cheese cracker things! I have a recipe for parmesan crisps but it needs flour, so will be pleased to have one that doesn't. :)

Olive oil - because olive oil is primarily composed of monounsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid, named for the olive as it happens Grin), it is less susceptible to heat damage than ANY of the polyunsaturated oils (veg, grain, legume oils). However, it's still unwise to get it smoking hot as that can cause damage. So if you're using it in the oven, keep the temp down; and when in the pan, don't let it smoke. Mixing olive oil and butter in the same pan reduces the ability of the olive oil to reach smoking point and actually is a very nice combination for cooking with - less likely to stick than pure butter, but much richer in flavour.

EvaTheOptimist · 21/01/2014 21:48

Well done QueenMarigold that's brilliant. 30 whole pounds you need never see again, and new jeans to show off your new figure in!

SayraT · 21/01/2014 21:50

Thank you very much everyone! Grin

Piscivorus · 21/01/2014 21:51

Durham We had never been there until DS had his interview, he was bowled over by the city and the university so he was in a hill college first year, second year lived on Colpitts Terrace and final year in a fab house on Crossgate.
I'm quite envious of you living somewhere so lovely
