Sponge - result!

Hi Eve - so hot here

Where is everybody?

It is pretty warm here. Have just been out soaking the garden and have probably been bitten to buggery.

evening all

nice to see you back sponge

dp surprised me this afternoon by turning up early

he called me and said he was just leaving work and could i go get him some beers for when he arrived, which i did, and by the time i got back, which was about 30 mins later, he was already here

he had left work almost an hour earlier and kept it quiet, so it's been really rather nice to finally have some time with him this evening

we went to my local village pub, which i havent been to since march 07, on account of the landlord there being a total cockbag, and i swore i wouldnt go back until he left

he left a couple of weeks ago so we went down and the place was just like it used to be before he drove everyone away, lovely atmosphere, lots of people i knew there, no shitty service

we sat in the garden with some friends of mine and just had a really nice time

now we can use it as somewhere to pop into every so often that doesnt involve driving, and go there for lunch with the kids sometimes

happy days

Monty100 · 09/07/2010 23:28

Lou - that's lovely! He so rocks your boat. It's brilliant . Happy days indeed .

lou33 · 10/07/2010 00:01

it is brilliant, he is so lovely, i feel very lucky

earlier in the evening we were talking about my kids, but ds2 in particular (whom he really has gelled with, as in joined at the hip bonding)

and out of nowhere he said "you know i really do love him"

and when we got back this evening he was straight in the boys room making sure they werent too hot and in bed , etc

he has also promised to camp out in the garden with them this weekend, his idea, no pressure or pestering from them

lou33 · 10/07/2010 14:33

he just bought me some white roses

sincitylover · 10/07/2010 18:59

Hi all - Lou no more than you deserve -it sort of bears out my theory that with the right and exceptional type of man the bonding with dcs will happen naturally.

It is really very heartening.

Sponge glad things have improved re exh.

Haven't been on much recently still very busy at work have loads to do before holiday in two weeks. I am having three weeks off and we are going away for the first week.

With exh away for ten days dcs have been feeling a bit neglected and as have been going in five days my routine is all out of sync. TBH I can't really do a ft job properly without a lot being sacrifced at home/with dcs. I hve worked ft since ds1 was five months but it's taking its toll.

Yesterday left wrok at3.30 to pick up ds2 as I had a gp appt. Appt was at 5.20 but didn't get into see gp until 6.50!!! so satwith ds2 for two hours in stuffy waiting room with one man who was clearly very ill. Poor guy but hoped it wasn't catching.

No news on the dating front. Too hot and no free weekends. I'm not in the right place atm will use the summer break to recharge and reassess few things.

Looking ahead will have birthday drinks on 27 August (I will be child free that week) so London ladies - please come if you can.

It will be somewhere central.

Wves to everyone (wave emoticon)

sincitylover · 10/07/2010 20:05

eve - saw your fb status are you ok?

Remotew · 10/07/2010 20:57

Hi SCL, It's so hard to work full time, I've had to do it in the past but you end up rushing around and never feeling on top of things at home. I usually work 4 days and even with a nearly grown up DD, I am dreading having to work 5 days week in and out. Will have to once we are out of the benefit system.

Someone is making trouble for me and won't leave me alone. It's something that should have been finished in my favour a few months ago. This person is a nutter and those sort of people with use any means to bother someone who they think has got one over them. It should be OK though as I'm in the right. But there is always doubt that someone just might believe them! Thanks for asking. Also has some bad news about a colleague so vented a bit.

I'm having an alcohol free Sat night, watching Kelly Jones at T4. Lou bet you wouldn't swap DP for him, would you?

It's been raining again here. Carnival tomorrow so it better be hot.

lou33 · 10/07/2010 21:05

thank you

he has put a tent up in the garden today and has promised the boys he will camp out with them tonight (not enough room for all of us), so they are all excited, which means i fully expect them to be hyper and refuse to sleep until after midnight, lol

luckily he is a patient man

i have had a really lazy day, long lie in because i found it impossible to sleep properly last night due to the heat, and when i got up dp had done loads of housework

then did a supermarket shop because the cupboards were literally bare

came back and he dropped the girls to the train station whilst i went back for a nap, and i woke up to find him back and had cleaned the bathroom - i need to clone him i think

we just had a bbq in the garden with the kids and they feel v grown up as i bought some shandy for them in mini bottles

now we are trying to chill but of course the boys are impatient to get the beds sorted for the tent lol

i said i would leave the bedroom window open for him in case he felt the need to escape

ninah · 10/07/2010 21:10

ah eve sorry you are having stress
just remember you ARE in the right, and try not to let them upset you which is what malicious types want more than anything, after all.
is fooking ot here
Have come to the rather liberating decision am going to buy a daybed - a single! will make my bedroom into more of a living space, it has fantastic views, we are on a hill so upstairs you can see for miles. i am not a sprawler, don't relish intimacy and I am quite excited about it!

Monty100 · 10/07/2010 21:23

Lou - white roses, how lovely. Nothing more than you deserve mind. I thought you were leaving the bedroom window open for another reason . If only he could be cloned.

SCL - I feel your pain. FT is hard. Am looking forward to ds finishing school, I'll get an extra hours' sleep every day. Your break sounds just what the doctor ordered. If in London will deffo be there for bd.

Eve - I'm not on fb but I can guess what's going on. I think a certain person needs to learn to 'take their oil'.

Ninah - a day bed lol. You're so posh. Am so at your view. My house is at the top of a hill, across the street is a park which overlooks central London, gorgeous, except there's a row of 'ouses in between lol.

Ikea do 'day beds', they are always on ebay.

Or were you thinking something more antique-y? (Have an image of your house lol).

It's fookin' 'ot 'ere too. Had a big lie in and didn't stop til 8pm. Grr.

Still, the beer's cracked and dp is doing steak again yum!

OP posts:
lou33 · 10/07/2010 21:27

ooh i love the idea of a day bed

lou33 · 10/07/2010 21:38

yes well that too monty

the idea of a day bed seems so lovely and self indulgent (in a good way), like daytime naps

i was going to say about the ikea ones too

dp got them after he saw me looking at some flowers in sainsburys, on the way home we had to stop somewhere else, he went in and i waited in the car, and when he came back he had them behind his back

i may take a sample of his dna when he is sleeping and see what i can do with it

i could make a fortune and we could retire early

women on this thread would get first offer and a discount

get your names down now

ninah · 10/07/2010 21:40

not so posh ikea £68
just my luck to meet someone fia the day it's delivered lol
I'd swap field views for a bit of pavement any day
once you come out of London it's hard to get back, when dc are grown up i'll be looking for a studio in West Ken asap
i think it will be nicer to be old with a few art galleries etc around
mind boggles at your pic of my house monty, is it like something from scooby doo where the eyes move in the paintings lol
and yes white roses are class, top class

ninah · 10/07/2010 21:42

put me down for one and asbm will prob let me have her copy too
(scuttles back to ikea to check on emperor size)

Monty100 · 10/07/2010 21:58

Ninah, I'm think they used to do one that had a bit that pulled out from under for 'guests' . I see an eccentric house for sure, am I right ? You need to remember why you left London in the first place. It's blardy hard work living here. It's crowded!

Lou - mind you, you could just give him a little envelope with a note inside and containing back door key .

OP posts:
Monty100 · 10/07/2010 21:59

OP posts:
ninah · 10/07/2010 22:00

ninah · 10/07/2010 22:01

lou33 · 10/07/2010 22:04

asbm and i could go into business together

lou33 · 10/07/2010 22:08

i am lost re: the spiderman reference

lou33 · 10/07/2010 22:09

oh wait i get it now

he wouldnt have far to climb as i am in a bungalow and my window opens onto the garden they are camping in

Monty100 · 10/07/2010 22:13

Ninah - gotcha lol.

Lou - do the note with the key. It's romaaaantic!

OP posts:
ninah · 10/07/2010 22:19

ah crikey yes, I thought that was a bit heartless lol lou

lou33 · 10/07/2010 22:20

i'm going to leave my window open and send him saucy texts, then get him to climb in and surprise me when the boys are snoozing, heh
