Was meant to be meeting someone for a drink tonight. He is someone I've been chatting to on POF, lives locally, looks quite cute. Quite a bit younger than me but I've had a conversation about the age gap and he likes older women, perfect! Anyway I've cancelled because I got up this morning, went all hot and clamy and nearly passed out, managed to cool off so didn't collapse. Stomach bug I reckon. Feel a bit better now but am going to have a rest and see if I can muster up some energy later to clean this mess of a house.

Hope everyone is OK, need to catch up properly later.

lou33 · 07/08/2010 15:13

hope you feel better soon eve

i had a shit night, couldnt sleep til about 2, and woke quite a lot

so now i feel knackered and havent got a chance to nap due to all the stuff i have had to do in advance, like baking for the picnic, running about doing mundane stuff etc

i wish i was feeling more alert so i could enjoy this evening more

quiche is almost cooked tho, scotch eggs are cooling, just baguettes to be made and melon to be sliced, and cooler to be filled

also got to drop ds1 and dd2 into town to change some books, and collect dd1, then come back and get ready and give all kids including the oldest strict instructions about behaviour while i am out

lou33 · 07/08/2010 17:30

right well i seem to have perked up now, so fingers crossed the rain holds off please!

have a good evening everyone :)

Remotew · 07/08/2010 17:33

Just had a read. Tonight looks great Lou. Have a fab time.

Monty100 · 07/08/2010 18:19

Lou - enjoy! Smile

Eve - wow what a shame! How are you feeling? Did you get your housework done?? Are you going to rearrange?

FLF - grr at ds's. Grin

Nought to report here, lot of laundry on the line.... wet Sad. It rained while I was out shopping. I'm having a sit down before I put clean bedding on.

OP posts:
Remotew · 07/08/2010 18:24

Nothing rearranged. I've done the basics round the house and managed to get out for coffee/shopping earlier. Bit of a tummy bug but feeling a bit better.

We've got fireworks and music about a mile away tonight. Will have to give that a miss too.

It's brightened up here, honestly we've had some atrocious weather up north. First time it hasn't rained for ages.

Monty100 · 07/08/2010 18:36

Eve - Glad you're feeling a bit better and managed to get out for a bit at least.

I must admit we've had great weather down here for a good couple of months all the parkland is brown and a bit of rain is welcome except my laundry is on the line .

Now it's August it's raining. We have had rotten Augusts for about 3 years running.

Monty100 · 07/08/2010 21:59

Ninah - oh, ds's birthday Sad. How old will he be?? I suppose you can phone him and stuff and spoil him silly when he gets home? Or before he goes?
Shame you can't make it to SCL's do Sad.

I've just posted on that Bucks man thread. I'm such a prude Grin.

you all keep talking about the bucks man thread, where is it? i want to read!

i am trying to load pics onto fb from earlier but the pc and my phone is fucking about with loading them ...BAH

ninah · 07/08/2010 22:22

No he will be there a week or so first, otherwise I would do the cake n coke routine first lol
He comes back the day after
I said oh you won't have one of my cakes and his eyes lit up poor thing
but he won't get off that lightly
am planning what to do with my time now
'Cortina Night' last entrance 11.30 or stretch out with a good book mmmmm
suggested carnival to my london mate - his reply 'bit too exciting for me these days' lol, 2am was an early night for him when we flat shared
prudish? oh god it's not a shirtless pic is it?

ninah · 07/08/2010 22:23

lone parents fancy an october date lou
was jools on form then?

lou33 · 07/08/2010 22:29

ninah i have no idea what you just said there, but jools was really good

Monty100 · 07/08/2010 22:33

Ninah - DS will just be delighted when he gets home. How old?

Carnival is my idea of a nightmare, I don't do crowds Blush. 20 years ago I was completely different.

Lou - glad you had a good time.

OP posts:
ninah · 07/08/2010 22:35

the bucks man thread is in lone parents called 'fancy an October blind date' or similar!
monty he will be 8

lou33 · 07/08/2010 22:39

when you say carnival are you referring to the notting hill one?

if so, all i will say is ..nightmare

i havent been for years tho, but even when i did go, and was able to watch it from a friends balcony as it passed by, as she lives on the route, it was still a total pita to get in and out of, esp with kids

i cant be doing with all that faff getting there and back to put up with nobbers in their hundreds around me now

or even then tbh

i was always more of a girl who would only go to stuff if i was on the guest list or had some kind of fast track through the melee

otherwise i couldnt be arsed lol

Remotew · 07/08/2010 22:40

Just going to check out Bucks man.

Monty100 · 07/08/2010 22:40

Ninah - he'll be fine, it'll make it more exciting that he has to wait until next day, but I know you'll be missing him. Sad

OP posts:
Remotew · 07/08/2010 22:46

I wonder if she will find a date for Bucks man on here?

lou33 · 07/08/2010 23:02

ninah · 07/08/2010 23:05

Monty100 · 07/08/2010 23:10

ninah · 07/08/2010 23:11
