lou33 · 19/07/2010 10:02

It is meant to be 28 degrees here today

sincitylover · 19/07/2010 10:15

very humid here

Have got into habit of not sleeping till about 2am after the last spell. Find summer alot more tiring than winter in some ways.

Just to clarify Andy Garcia very handsome American actor (think he was in the godfather), born in Cuba. He was guest on Top Gear. I find the actual presenters a bit too nerdy/boys toys for me though admit they are funny and my dcs love them.

Def into the Meditteranean/Latin look

Remotew · 19/07/2010 11:08

Its dull and drisly again here. This is turning into a weather reporting thread, must stop moaning.

whiteandnerdy · 19/07/2010 11:10

Hmm, sometimes I find the Top Gear presenters amusing, but some of the homophobic jokes I've heard higher standards of comerdy in the school playground ...

"James May has long hair, that's a bit GAY, maybe he want's to bum me!" No sorry Clarckson, that Roy Chubby Brown/Jim Davidson material isn't counter PC culture, it's just not funny.

Haha, rant over!!

lou33 · 19/07/2010 11:47

i think they are funny

tried to get tickets for the show but the deadline was yesterday and i didnt hear so havent been successful

dp likes the programme too, but that is hardly surprising since he likes anything with an engine, pretty much, and is a mechanic

ninah · 19/07/2010 20:04

I'm with you there w&n
any of you lot speak Spanish/Catalan?

Remotew · 19/07/2010 22:38

Sorry Ninah, I don't speak spanish. How is it going with you are you thinking of starting dating again? I cannot be bothered to read messages atm. Looks like most on this thread have found their fit, interesting and available men and the ones who havent have given up, including me.

Had some better news, DD has found and job in a cafe and also starts some voluntary work tomorrow.

Hope everyone is OK.

aurorastargazer · 20/07/2010 12:51

crikey i have lots to catch up on again

dd did really well in her ballet exam, we don't yet knwo if she has passed and won't until september thank you very much for asking.

i think i, personally, will look like rudolph if my hayfever doesn't calm down soon!

will try and catch up more tomorrow xxx

Monty100 · 20/07/2010 18:50

Well done Eve's dd on new job

and well done Aurora's dd on ballet exam

It is extremely hot and humid here, I've had a day off thank goodness, no commute.

Hope everyone is ok.

OP posts:
ninah · 20/07/2010 18:58

eve i have given up to the point of looking at single beds
maybe not so much given up as jumped enthusiastically back into a life of selfish anticompromise
Plenty of room on the trampoline if you don't fancy the sofa!
Hope I can stay on thread ...
well done on dd's job and to aurora's dd too

Remotew · 20/07/2010 18:59

So of the hot weather. It hasn't stopped raining here for nearly 2 weeks. Everyone at work is feeling ill, me included. Too busy to take time off. I am going to bed in a mo to try and keep going. Finish on Friday for 9 whole days. Please send some good weather our way. I have 3 nights camping next weekend but one.

Remotew · 20/07/2010 19:04

Ninah, I like 'the trampoline'. I think a few of us have given up the thought of really finding a FIA rather than given up on men in general. Hope I will never be so cynical to give up on them completely.

lou33 · 20/07/2010 21:23

i am willing to loan out my puppy to anyone who asks, she is bonkers and driving me nuts with her non stop hyperactivity in this heat

every time i move she dashes out to the garden and brings me a stone which she drops at my feet, which i have to throw back into the garden into the rest of the gravel, so she can go find it and bring it back to do all over again

this has gone on since 8am.....

i ignored her for 10 mins earlier while i put some laundry away, and found she had left me 4 stones outside the door for me to throw, THEN when i sat down for 10 mins, she finally flaked out by my feet, but left a stone there for when i got up again!

she can sniff the bloody thing out even though we have half a ton of gravel out back that i throw it into

and at the same time for the last 2 days i have been gutting the girls room , which has also involved untold amounts of laundry

all i can see when i close my eyes are rows of washing on the line

and it has been roasting hot

does anyone want to loan her?

whiteandnerdy · 20/07/2010 21:35

Loan your dog? Are you stoned? burdum-tissh, thank-you, thank-you, I'll be here all evening.

ninah · 20/07/2010 21:57

no thanks Lou

Monty100 · 20/07/2010 22:02

Ninah -

Lou - They're really cute and all, but not when you've been doing laundry all day.

Eve - I wish I could send at least 5 degrees your way. I'ts pretty stifling still, but supposed to be much cooler tomorrow.

OP posts:
lou33 · 20/07/2010 22:23

it's really cute in short bursts, but not the entire day

she would definitely keep anyone too busy to bother with dating tho

Betty79 · 20/07/2010 22:24

Hi all just popping in quickly, all is still well here with bf. Def still comfy on the sofa we've even booked a little weekend away ina caravan for oct with all 3 kids!

Eve-I'm not that far from you, and am sick of this rain too! glad dd has got a little job

Lou-Aww my mum has 2 springers so know what they are like, lots of energy lol

ninah-Single bed lol I love having a big kingsize bed to myself but dont mind sharing it now and then!

waves to monty, scl and anyone else around and Hi to nerdy, very brave coming in here lol the last bloke didnt last long!

ninah · 20/07/2010 22:25

worst of both worlds here weatherwise
heat, but of the stuffy variety
and no sunshine, overcast
and when the vendor of this place said no he NEVER noticed odours from the sewage plant in the field opposite that must have been because he was LIVING IN GERMANY at the time, as I have since discovered

lou33 · 20/07/2010 22:27

i dont think i could sleep in anything smaller than a king size any more

Monty100 · 20/07/2010 23:21

I could sleep on the point of a pin atm I'm so tired.

Lou - we've had a few Springers in the family. My db's current one is quite highly strung. Beautiful and so loyal though.

Ninah - omg a sewer plant. Thought my outlet pipe was bad at times.

Betty - yay nice to 'see' you. Glad all is going well with bf. Not dp status yet then?

Remotew · 21/07/2010 11:02

I've got a super king size bed, all to myself. Obviously don't mind sharing it now and again. It's lovely but making it up is a bit of a chore.

The rain has finally stopped but it's still overcast. It needs to get sunny on Friday for 11 days as I'm off work. Yipee!

No thanks from me Lou on your offer.

lou33 · 21/07/2010 11:59

I would love a super king.

Puppy started the stone business again this morning lol. She is always on the go but so sweet and affectionate she is worth it really

sincitylover · 21/07/2010 14:21
