nn ASBM, I'm very sober btw, wondering how I will get to sleep tonight. DD has Jacques but she won't share and I bought it!

Strange girl, she is watching Shaun Connery (SP) and drooling!

Remotew · 17/07/2010 23:47

W&N the clue is in the title.

I'm off to bed too, nn.

whiteandnerdy · 17/07/2010 23:51

Monty27 - No but the title of the post asks where they have gone, I could let you know if I find any! Mind you everyone I know is as mad as a brush so the chances are ... remote at best!

Morning all. The bbq was just about bearable for the time we were there. Made more so by the fact one of ds2's school helpers has recently moved to our road, so we chatted for a bit. Ds1 left after eating,dp left about 25 mins after that and i left wjth ds2 shortly after that, leaving the girls there.

I dont think i will be doing it again next year.

It was a bit freaky when some woman said " oh louise how lovely to see you how are you?"

And i have no idea who the hell she is

Remotew · 18/07/2010 17:01

What's the weather like down there? It's pouring again up north.

lou33 · 18/07/2010 17:52

Warm and sunny, washing is drying in no time on the line

Remotew · 18/07/2010 18:03

I need to move, this is just so depresssing.

elastamum · 18/07/2010 18:49

Well its been pouring here too all weekend.

Didnt get to go out with traveller, we agreed on the phone yesterday it just wasnt going to be a good day out, as the kids would just get wet and moan - not a good example to the childless!!!

So he says he will take us out when we get back from our hols. Will see what happens.
Am on the verge of giving up on this one

Remotew · 18/07/2010 20:15

elasta, why do you want to give up? Do you think he is bowing out of a not too perfect picture and should take it as it is. Can understand that if you are hoping this will be the one. Enjoy your hols and see what happens after.

Lou you around? Just had some news and need to vent. If not it will keep, not sure if I should be pleased or b----dy annoyed.

elastamum · 18/07/2010 20:29

Hi Eve, Have just run out of energy I think and need to re charge.

Think he definately isnt the one, we get on really well, but lifestyle wise we have absolutely nothing in common. I have a houseful of kids and dogs to look after and he has done exactly what he wants to for all his adult life. Believe me, my lifestyle is enough to scare any sane bloke off!!!!

Just a bit fed up with endlessly working to earn enough to keep us all, keeping the kids happy and kidding myself that I might also have a life of my own. Ex only sees them one night every two weeks so I dont really ever get enough of a break to date anyone.

Have a couple of other possible dates and cant even be bothered to call them, so that gives you an idea of my current level of enthusiasm. Time to crack open the wine I think

Remotew · 18/07/2010 20:32

No point arranging anything else if you are lacking enthusiasm. Cheers, am joining you in cracking open the wine. No work tomorrow.

elastamum · 18/07/2010 20:35

Cheers to you too!!! I am working tommorow, have the day from hell then we are off on hols for 2 weeks, just me and the kids. Will try to rekindle my enthusiasm.

whiteandnerdy · 18/07/2010 21:12

Well it rained at my DS party, but it was only spots of rain so we were able to stay outside. Ah was a bit annoyed, at an hour before the party got a text from a parent saying they son couldn't make it because they'd "ended up at altern towers the day before and was still in bed". My DS is 10 so he's only inviting 5 or 6 friends, GRRRRRR.

And then finding that one of the parents had included a 10 pound note in my DS's card. Is it just me ... I'd rather people just gave a card without a present rather then giving a 10 year old a tenner, is it just me being all fuddy-duddy?!?!

Ahh well deep breath in next week holiday in Egypt, like elastamum I too am just taking myself and the kids. However, I expect to be completely bolloxed by the experiance!!

lou33 · 18/07/2010 21:14

I am here tho posting from my phone as pc has been taken over by dp for now. I have a beer. Been quite productive today so deserve it

lou33 · 18/07/2010 21:15

Cor my kids love it when they get money!

Remotew · 18/07/2010 21:26

W&N agree with Lou, Mine loves getting money with a few proper pressies to open of course.

Lou need to chat sorry to be needy but you know the background and cannot discuss it on here. Maybe catch you tomorrow, I might have calmed down by then. RL people are out of rage range.

sincitylover · 18/07/2010 21:29

omg have just seen the perfect man for me - not sure if he's single - Andy Garcia on Top Gear - ticks all the boxes

have had slightly more relaxing Sunday than usual - just enjoying some vino

Remotew · 18/07/2010 22:00

Don't know him SCL but have it on good authority he is nice. Top Gear fan in my household.

Cheers!

ninah · 18/07/2010 22:00

cheers scl!
a top gear blokey would be my idea of hell though
has not rained here. Just threatened. Turned garden back into garden from jungle. Have ignored house though.
I love it when dc get the odd bit of money, much better than a bit of plastic and they really appreciate it! usually a fiver round here lol

elastamum · 18/07/2010 22:07

It has finally stopped raining. Have just walked the dogs and got the kids into bed so its down to doing the admin with a glass of sherry - just finished the wine, am already starting to feel more cheerful . Reckon I have a couple of hours work to do before bedtime, see you later ladies!! (and whiteandnerdy)

Monty100 · 18/07/2010 22:46

White&Nerdy - why complain?
Mine would be delighted with a tenner. They can't get enough of them.

OP posts:
whiteandnerdy · 18/07/2010 23:21

Dunno, it must just be me ... goodness I wonder if I was raised by socialist hippies sometimes. Magnamit I knew there was a reason I don't have a T.V. in the house, I'm really not down with this capitalist 21st century.

Ah well just moved DS2 from my bed into his own, (read brothers in bunk beds keeping each other awake). He was acting as if he was asleep, at 11 years he's just too heavy to carry. It ended up with us both collapsing onto his bedroom floor in hysterics, while he's still trying to pretend he's asleep and yet giggling at the same time. What a couple of ijits!!!

lou33 · 19/07/2010 09:31

ooh i love top gear and i love my top gear bloke

elastamum · 19/07/2010 09:58

Sun is shining this morning - of course it is as it is monday!!! Have day from hell and then need to pack for my hols when I get home tonight. Yipee
