Hey, I wasn't back that late, 11.30 but was tired so went straight to bed. Well ahem, the Jury is still out on Stallion. It wasn't a disaster and I enjoyed meeting him but not sure if I will see him again. He lives a stones throw away and has seen me before, said he said good morning a few weeks ago and I replied, vaguely recall.

He seems to be looking for something serious and he works unsociable hours, whereas I like to see my boyfriends on a casual basis when I have a day off. He's already tried to ring me and text to see if I am free tonight, which I'm not.

Anyway just thought I would report back.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 22/06/2010 11:53

bloody ell
i am off the t'internet for a few days and eve gets herself a date
he sounds a bit full on doesn't he?
what is is with these men it's either full-on or bfs?!
doesn't he think that you might have other things planned?
have you replied to his texts/calls?

Remotew · 22/06/2010 12:29

Hi ASBM, hope you are well.

Yes this date happened very quickly as was a paid up member so could send me his no. whereas I couldn't reply on the site so had to pass mine no. on. He rang straight away probably because he had already seen me.

I replied this morning to tell him no go about tonight and to contact me nearer my weekend. Not heard anything back.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 22/06/2010 13:00

hmmm..will watch with interest then lol
maybe it's knocked his confidence to find out that you have a life are an independent woman
how did dd's date go btw?

Remotew · 22/06/2010 14:33

Her date isn't till the weekend she's a busy girl too.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 22/06/2010 19:16

good stuff!
she's obv.a chip off the old block then!!
it's great that she can come and talk to you about stuff like this
don't know about you but i kept this private as a teen as i didn't have that kind of relationship with my mum

Janos · 22/06/2010 20:24

Hey asbm good to see you back

eve, sounds like you have a lovely relationship with your daughter, that's fantastic.

I had a hideously awkward adolesence and wouldn't have talked about this sort of thing with my mum either.

Not been around as just took DS for a break with my folks and we had a lovely time.

Currently am kicking myself as due to knackeredness/stressyness. I accidentally left £30 at a cahspoint today. I know that doesn't prob sound like a lot but it is to me and I'm furious with myself!

Also chatting to a decent bloke on OKCupid o all places. He's a writer/publisher - few uears older than me. Not pushy/obnoxious/crude...I like him. Intersting to see where it might go!

Janos · 22/06/2010 20:26

Where are my manners!

Currently having a right kerfuffle sorting out childcare for DS when he goes to school. Big big headache.

ninah · 22/06/2010 21:30

hello all janos the cash would make me too
it is a lot! and it's the waste isn't it
writer chappie sounds nice
agree about eve's dd
ds school saga is now semi resolved, they explained their reasons, which I now undestand, and they have allowed me to decide which class I prefer - so I am pleased, just have to chat with ex now as neither scenario is without its drawbacks
I have to say in the circs they could not have been more reasonable
lots of gossip of the 'has she calmed down yet' variety
I used to hate confrontation and would avoid at all costs but I'm getting to rather enjoy it ... does take it out of you though. Early night now, thanks everyone for all your support over this

lou33 · 22/06/2010 21:32

evening all

i wish i could say i had been enjoying the sunshine but i havent , on account of feeling all achey and sore, especially in my throat

i felt so crap at school pick up time i thought i was going to be sick on the way, but havent, thankfully (though do feel slightly better today)

dp was meant to be working 8 days straight then having the weekend off, but they changed it, so now (hoorah) he has tomorrow off but has to work the weekend (boo), but it means he has come down and has said he will take the boys to school for me if i still feel under par

he also turned up just in time to wash up everything from dinner for me and bath ds2 so i could relax, he's bloody great

it also means even if i dont feel up to driving later, i can go surprise ds2 at his swimming lesson and watch him as i had planned to (last week he managed to swim over 12m on his back with no aids), which i know he will love, and i can be back in time to watch england kick off!

hope everyone is well, sorry if i havent mentioned anyones news, am a bit lacking in concentration and energy to read it all back

aseriouslyblondemoment · 22/06/2010 21:38

so glad that you had a good few days away with the lovely weather janos but so sorry to hear about the cashpoint, that's really really upsetting as a LP
on a plus note tho the fella on okcupid sounds ok..think you need to elaborate a bit lol

lou33 · 22/06/2010 21:53

janos are you sure the machine didnt swallow it back up? i thought they were meant to take it back if it wasnt removed after so many seconds? would it be worth checking with your bank?

aseriouslyblondemoment · 22/06/2010 22:35

lou that's great to hear about ds2 loving his swimming and even better that you can go and watch him
not sure about suffering watching the footie tomorrow, tho,am a huge die hard own team supporter and always support our country but wtf???
maybe if they emptied their weighed down shorts from all their pennies then maybe they'd be able to run..jeeze it's a disgrace!
and how much sponsorship is the FA getting paid from having mr b sat there?
{cynical but true emoticon}

aurorastargazer · 23/06/2010 12:59

hi everyone

janos - £30 is a lot of money to me too, so can understand how you feel. i agree with lou that it's always worth checking with the bank. asbm is right, you do need to elaborate about the writer

lou - sorry you're feeling poorly but am glad ds islovign the swimming adn that you can go watch him.

asbm - i agree with you about beckham - the amount of times they showed his mug face was kind of a bit much

lou33 · 23/06/2010 17:42

Every time i am upright i feel awful. Managed to go see ds2 swim tho, and he clocked up 100m altogether!

Good result in the football too

Monty100 · 23/06/2010 21:21

Janos - did you check with your bank? It happened me once, walked away, turned back when I realised (no-one else was around), but the money wasn't there, but it was still in my a/c when I checked later. I was a bit . So now I realise the cp machine must have eaten it up.

Eve - have you heard from stallion?

Lou - for ds2.

Aurora - grrr

Pirate - how's dd??

OK, sho I've been washing da futball lol. At work in the bar. It was good fun. Misshed a train by seconds and didn't get home til 7.30 but hey ho. Wash fhun. . Frank Lampard? Phwoar!

Need to feed the zoo now!

Hope everyone is ok

Monty100 · 23/06/2010 22:11

sincitylover · 23/06/2010 22:12

just a thought but any London ladies up for a meet last week of August - it's my birthday and dcs on holiday.

sincitylover · 23/06/2010 22:15

planning ahead emoticon

Monty100 · 23/06/2010 22:31

SCL - Count me in, if I'm not on holiday. Are you still having a party?

OP posts:
sincitylover · 23/06/2010 22:41

yes prob second sat in august. Usually very minimalist do (foodwise) and not many if any fit and interesting men but if weather ok then quite a good laugh

Monty100 · 23/06/2010 22:55

SCL - Cool, I'm limited between work and dcs to taking my holiday in August but I have not planned anything yet due to the madness that is my life with two teens and a twat exh who you couldn't plan around if he was unconscious! But it's the same every year and every year something comes out of the bag!
