starts here

why would you bin off gymboy before asking about it?

he may well just have been checking mail or hiding a profile or something, talk to him before you dump him

ooh that sounds quite painful, how would you feel if it was early menopause? could it be something to do with the lining/womb dropping (not sure what the technical terms are for that)

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 22/09/2009 20:28

lou at you approving of the beer in fridge. lol.

do you not suspect it could be menopause ?

lou33 · 22/09/2009 20:37

i did ask him if he thought it could be , he seemed to think not

i would think bloody hallelujah

i have been sterilised since dec 01, it would put an end to a lot of hassle

juice, not that i am shallow or anything, about the beer.....

OP posts:
Remotew · 22/09/2009 20:43

Juicy, most men I know would know better than to leave beer in my fridge, it would be gone next time he visited, between my friends and I.

sincitylover · 22/09/2009 20:47

Lou - could it be fibroids? - I have these (they cause heavy bleeding) and for a while had similar experiences to the one you had in Sainsbos - once got on Eurostar train and passed a clot the size of a saucer TMI sorry.

Was with my parents and ds2 (aged about 2) and my dad wanted to turn back and my mum just kept screeching ooh you need it whipped out you've no use for it anymore!! Happy Days!! We actually had a lovely time in Paris.

If you are anaemic then AF will be heavier - I took iron for a while and saw a homeopath (will be flamed for that) and now AF under control. I just tend to not do much for those three days and whilst AF is on cut down on caffeine and alcohol.

lou33 · 22/09/2009 21:19

i always look anaemic because of my pale skin but i never have been

i dont know i have deliberately not googled anything , so in all honesty dont know anything about fibroids

i havent had clots that big but maybe about the size of a 2 pound coin

i dont drink coffee, and you may not believe this but actually dont drink much at home (though i am tonight because of my sore throat )

thesouthsbelle · 23/09/2009 07:24

fingers crossed lou they manage to get it sorted out for you.

scl - ouch!!!

well NG came over last night & made a swift exit when DS woke up. talked about it after thou and he's said as i'm the first person he's (and started to say gone out with but stopped mid way) been with who's already been a mum he's not sure how to act as it's all new for him - which is ok, obv I said ds comes first & i'm not asking him to do anything etc cos all he kept saying was i'm not his dad - erm yes I do know that and i'm not asking for him to be his dad - never would. anyhow have taken the whole subject (ds) off the table for now. not too sure on how to handle the situation as I don't want to pressure him/scare him away, both of which he said i've not done. ho hum, not sure at all.

He's been sharing family pictures thou.still was nice to see him thou.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 23/09/2009 08:22

SB - it can be difficult for someone if they are not sure how to handle it. i remember seeing a fella who had a dc before i had any.. and i used to leave if they would wake simply as i was unsure how to handle it and didn't want to stick my oar in iykwim. perhaps next time just make sure you let him know that its ok... and ds might wake up... but that he will go back to sleep quick enough and its not a sign NG has to leave when he wakes.

lou33 · 23/09/2009 08:57

omg i feel as rough as a badgers arse

i'm going back to bed for an hour before mum's taxi is needed again

but i had a couple of nice long chats on the phone with lb yesterday evening

nothing else to report

OP posts:
notevenamousie · 23/09/2009 10:20

SB - I agree he might just have been unsure how to handle it - I would have been more worried by someone who wanted to be getting in there and 'helping' rather than getting out of the way. I saw someone with dc before I had mine and it's not easy to get right. Hope you can talk to him about it.

lou - how old are you? Period problems are commonest in the first 10 years and the last 10 years of reproductive life, ie teens and 40s. There are loads of things they could try, and less invasive than an ablation (which it sounds like you don't want). You can CAT me if you like - I try not to own up to my profession too much but we are friends here!

My dd is ill - ear infection - 2nd week of a new job - truly terrible timing. I am so tired as she is struggling to sleep, in a lot of pain, poor treasure, it's so hard to see them so sad. I am still stunned by my gorgeous flowers. He is out of the country with work until tomorrow but texts a lot and am considering registering with sitters or equivalent for a few months at least so I can actually go out with him easily. It's expensive though. But I am really taken with him, and he wants us to spend some time child-free, going out, and he is right that that would be really good, to enjoy this phase and not go too quickly.

lou33 · 23/09/2009 10:33

i will be 43 in january, he hasnt tried anything yet because i only went there a couple of weeks ago about it, but he did say the ablation would be a last resort, and there were other things to be done well beforehand

i dont pay for cat mousie but you are welcome to email me on morticiatsf at googlemail dot com, if you want to

OP posts:
thesouthsbelle · 23/09/2009 12:21

aww lou, but glad you spoke to LB y'day.

Haven't heard from him at all today, nada, zip and usually I get one text by now. althou we were still on the phone till half 1 this am for 40 mins after spending a few hours together. but worried/insecure today, so someone slap it out of me quickly!! ho hum, trying not to stress - he does enough of that for the pair of us!!

VAT lady's been and gone horah! all is well & I actually look v competent (YAY!)

mousie - absolutely, child free time is so good, and a def must I think, don't be too keen to get the DC's involve (least that's my feeling on it)

lou33 · 23/09/2009 12:40

he may be just really busy with his day?

lb and i usually text but his work is so manic, and he was out of a reception area most of yesterday, that we have been catching up with the calls instead

(he called me at dinner time and i called him when i went to bed)

it doesnt mean anything is wrong

OP posts:
thesouthsbelle · 23/09/2009 13:59

yeah I know just after last night/this am bit shakey, but I know you're prob right thou Lou.

lou33 · 23/09/2009 14:22

why dont you ask him if there is anything wrong?

talking of phone calls lb just called me unexpectedly

he said he was worried about em cos i am sick and just found out my exh has actually now moved within a few miles of me, so was just checking up

OP posts:
notevenamousie · 23/09/2009 18:09

He's coming over after dd is in bed on Friday and taking me out for dinner (I have a babysitter) on Saturday

Ask him, sb, I honestly think he's just getting his head round the reality of children whereas before it's just been the concept.

lou - lb does sound lovely, I hope you've got a keeper there.

lou33 · 23/09/2009 18:15

ooh have a lovely time on saturday

he was also ringing to let me know a week in advance that he may not finish quite as early as planned on the friday we meet

i like that kind of thoughtfulness, i know what my plans are that way

OP posts:
thesouthsbelle · 23/09/2009 18:17

it's cool he sent me a message, saying hiya hunny just been to see my boss about interview tomorrow was well nervous. haven't heard since. but think/assume all is ok.

thesouthsbelle · 23/09/2009 18:18

yeah think so lou - shame your ex is moving so close to you thou.

mousie have fun at dinner.

fat club tonight ho hum....

lou33 · 23/09/2009 18:22

he has moved already by all accounts

OP posts:
thesouthsbelle · 23/09/2009 18:23

and you sound thrilled I must add! lol. has he been to see the kids yet?

lou33 · 23/09/2009 18:26

i dont know when he actually moved this way, i dont even have an address, his email was full of when he sees kids, without actually asking to see them

he says he has no furniture, which i assume will be a reason he is unable to see them, not that i think it is, they can sit on cushions

he only emailed me because he was trying to get me to give him a lawnmower

thats the only reason he was a) civil and b) letting me know

OP posts:
DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 23/09/2009 18:55

my ex finally got dc a real set of beds rather than them just bunking in with him... funny how it has taken him 1 yr almost to realise it's better they're in their own beds

irish is coming round tonight... and missing his beloved team playing footy
... might have something to do with the texts we have been sending all day

i feel this sort of dedication deserves special occasion undies

sb - good luck at weigh in.

agree with mousie and lou - you will have to actually tell him outright not to feel uncomfortable if ds wakes up in the night. as lets face it.. at that age your dc wont be a sound sleeper yet.. you get the benefit of being able to have NG round while sleeping.. but drawback they might wake. he simply wont have a clue about the sleeping pattern and you will have to explain.

mousie - woo hoo with the dinner. are you going to be seeing him fri and sat then?

thesouthsbelle · 23/09/2009 20:10

hasn't changed then lou!!?!

stayed the same in fat club, had a blow out with NG as well. not a happy bunny, am tired & feel like tonk so think i'll have tomorrow off work. think i'm making a mountian out of a mole hill to a degree but also I'm just so tired! n have had a shitty few days. (it transpires that apparently he's got a 'presentation' on fri with his hockey, in yates in the next town - hmm.... says will find out later on during hockey what's happening & will let me know cos he's 'torn' wants to see me but go there, I offered to swop for tomorrow which got mixed reviews, and even next week had a warm review as well. I got a bit paranoid he said he'll ring me later on, he wants to 'carry on getting to know each other' but likewise says we're going out together but not properly wtf?!?) think this one could quite possibly break my heart if I actually let him in. ho hum.

juicy - check u out!!! lol. u go girl.

lou33 · 23/09/2009 20:15

well exh said he had no furniture etc but i have said they can sit on cushions for a couple of hours, so he has been persuaded to have them for a couple of hors on sunday

to "reconnect" as he calls it

i will of course be doing the dropping and picking up as he has no transport

the kids dont seem that excited but fingers crossed it goes well

lb has gone to the pub, i feel like death warmed up
