SCL, 'prof' is an academic, however, he's off the radar, not bothered to message me back. Decided I didn't fancy the american so my plate is once again empty.

One guy has messaged me about 5 times over. How thick can some of them be?

Had to come home from work today with a tummy bug! Better now though, roll on the weekend even though I have no plans yet!

Remotew · 05/08/2009 22:10

RJ, just had a message from a very pretty boy in Glasgow aged 24! I couldn't not reply but told him he was a bit too young, half my age in fact!

winnie09 · 05/08/2009 22:29

ridingjoker, mirror guy - don't go there! Def red flag. How open are you supposed to be with someone you haven't even met yet weird & deeply suspicious! Where you direct with BigT & did it work?
Glad the pain killers are working.

Lou I am impressed with the housework If I had a bad back I would use it as an excuse not to do any housework

I joined POF tonight & it is an odd experience. Have replied to one interested guy so will let you all know

winnie09 · 05/08/2009 22:30

were not where

winnie09 · 05/08/2009 22:33

Lou, I love The Stereophonics! Saw them live in Cardiff a couple of years ago and they were fab!

ridingjoker · 06/08/2009 08:30

will you go and put mini man kelly back in his box, he's still too little.

eve - ooooh 24 is just a little young for my tastes too .whats his username... let us go have swatch at fit young glaswegian.

winnie - yes, have completely called it off with mirror man. and he's gone a bit weird and trying to get date back on to which i am completely ignoring.... which is even more in indicator to get the barge pole out.

BigT - yup. asked him direct. couldn't come over as working and had his dd with him, so couldn't even just sneak away for an hr or so.....well, technically would need alot longer as he'd have 1.5 hrs driving there and back and then time spent massaging and making me coffee

i'm feeling tonnes better. the back pain is subsiding, just muscular is worse today. but thats good. means i should be fully mobile by tomorrow and hopefully riding again by sunday.

winnie - any prospectus fella from pof? we need nicknames if there are.

ninah · 06/08/2009 10:25

glad you're better rj
impressed at the housework, lou!
and shame about the washout eve tho lol at everyone scurrying to perve the 24 year old! rj 24 is OK for you, surely? I am old enough to be his mother

ridingjoker · 06/08/2009 10:37

24 is ok, even better if he's 25 this year.

as for my back... i really should thank my mother for my excellent genes. if not for them i wouldn't heal as quick or be as hard to break, luckily dd looks to have inherited them also... ds... nope. just like his father.lol

Remotew · 06/08/2009 11:09

RJ, I've catted you with his username. Let me have some feedback when you've had a look. He may not be your type at all.

ridingjoker · 06/08/2009 13:35

haha, i replied. i spoke to him about novelty foam hats. lol.

seemed nice young man.

Remotew · 06/08/2009 13:40

ha ha so you and he have already been in touch? Am I right? It's a small world on these sites.

I reckon he's up for a bit of online fun.

ridingjoker · 06/08/2009 13:43

yeah... specially with the distance he's contacted you from. deffo an online fun boy.lol

Remotew · 06/08/2009 13:47

Might chat if I catch him online (don't use MSN much) then we will see. Bit wierd though, a good looking guy wanting to 'chat' to a woman twice his age!

Remotew · 06/08/2009 13:48

weird rather, excuse my spelling.

ridingjoker · 06/08/2009 13:55

maybe he just prefers someone not his own age.

winnie09 · 06/08/2009 15:51

There are several possibilities I will let you know

lou33 · 06/08/2009 18:53

i love them too winnie, am at you seeing them

i just got back from a day out at mercedes benz world with the kids and darkhorse, for anyone who has me on their fb i have loaded the pics

update on ds's behaviour around nm - turns out he likes nm ok but his dc who are a lot older have been mean on the sly - pulling nasty faces, name calling, nothing too serious but enough to make him feel intimidated and as he puts it 'sad'
wtf do I do now?
is quite clear that they want their father to themselves, they were OK in the beginning but the older one esp has cooled as things became more serious
lots of little digs, and anytime ds misbehaves it's like he is such a problem child
feeling quite cross and upset on his behalf actually
but how do I raise it dipolatically? or do I bother? as far as nm is concerned his sons are perfect at all times

ridingjoker · 06/08/2009 20:14

ninah - think you have a real problem here i'm afraid for this relationship. you cant do anything about nm dc really tbh. you can tell him what your ds has done. but if he's not willing to address his dc(as you cant really and not your place)

then you may have to walk away if your ds is being bullied.

bit pointless having a relationship where you cant have the 2 sets of dc together.

am i sounding harsh. sorry if i am.... but i get the impression this is not a relationship where everything else is perfect and working on this.

if nm thinks his dc are perfect and dont do anything wrong and refuses to have a word then its a no goer??

but if he hears your ds side of story and takes it on board and is willing to speak to his dc regarding their treatment of your ds then perhaps it is worth working on.

ninah · 06/08/2009 20:29

Yes, that's what I thought too. In fact when he told me earlier on I felt sick.
If it was nm ds didn't like I would be happy to continue seeing nm in child free time and hope maybe things would improve
However this is a different matter.
Wish he had told me before.
I am looking back over the weekend and it all makes sense now. Even the fact they were so happy and animated when I was outside really upset and telling ds off.
They really don't want us around and ds is getting the brunt.
I will talk to nm/?ex when he gets back, although we haven't been in touch since he went so that says it all really.

ninah · 06/08/2009 20:32

oh and thanks, yeah? you are always there with sound advice and support

ridingjoker · 06/08/2009 20:52

yeah, have a word and see what his view is.

but its not very great he's buggered off and not a peep?

not even a text?

thats a bit rude?

Remotew · 06/08/2009 21:18

Ninah sounds like yours is outnumbered. Bad situation as whatever you say will be taken as a critisism, just as you would take it if yours was being blamed.

I've been there and it's not easy. But you can all work it out if you want to. There is a compromise. Hope you can sort it out but you need to broach it soon. Not fair on your Ds. He needs to feel he is no. 1.
