Hi ladies.

lou - thats was cheeky of him to ask you to cook, was it coz you requested something other then meatballs?

RJ - men are aeseholes, have you made other arrangements?

Thought I would give you all an update on warden. He is my best friends dp's best mate (sorry abit long). And he told my friends dp that he really likes me. So my friends dp really wants us to get together, but my friend told him she doesn't think I am that into him. So he seems abit worried that I might hurt him, but would like us to get together.

So I was speaking to my friend about it and she said he is a really nice guy and I should give it ago. I dont want to feel under pressure tho as I have already slept with him and it was rubbish, so feel if I meet up with him again he might be execting me to sleep with him.

I have spoke to him on the phone and he does seem really sweet. I think maybe I will just explain that I need to take things slow and see how it goes.

ridingjoker · 29/04/2009 14:38

noverit - sex is always its worst first time with someone i think. maybe it had been a while for him and he was just so excited to be getting some.

not making other plans. dc will be dropped at ex house at crack of dawn before he has chance to go out. he has the day off work. he was only cancelling as he had an offer to go look at a tractor with his friend and wanted to do that instead

so now instead of having them for 3 hrs. he will have them from 7am till 3pm. like it or lump it.

notoverit · 29/04/2009 14:41

I was thinking it is always worst first time too, the only thing is I kinda think i is his style I dont like, as in he seems to rush and is very fast, but I suppose its worth another go...

Well good for you, I thought there might have been a good reason for it, but doesn't seem that way...

So are you really excited then? How long are you going for?

ridingjoker · 29/04/2009 14:42

leave on sunday. get back mon. wont arrive till fri early hrs

ridingjoker · 29/04/2009 14:44

on a scale of 1-10 for excitement. i'm about 11.

all fear and worries gone right out the window for excitement now

notoverit · 29/04/2009 14:45

ok, thats good so not too long just incase it does not go well, but it seems like you know each other quite well so fingers crossed... how exciting.... I cant wait to hear how it goes...

ridingjoker · 29/04/2009 14:47

no not long. friday he's off so be with him all day but be a bit jet lagged as cant sleep on planes. but he's working the sat and sunday. sat night we will have too. and sun couple of hrs before i head home

notoverit · 29/04/2009 14:56

ridingjoker · 29/04/2009 15:11

lou33 · 29/04/2009 15:27

dolparts well doen you

rj have a great time

wrt exex he was only joking really,he is quite a good cook

thought i wasnt sure if i was going til a couple of hours ago again, i woke up with a migraine and felt crap (probably due to exh and his recent load of stress he is inflicting)

but i feel ok now though so am off in a couple of hours

inthemistsoftime · 29/04/2009 16:54

well done dollparts, an amazing weight loss, and a man as well, you obviously have what it takes!

lou, have a lovely evening, am still sad for you as well

rj, I can't believe that it is finally here the "superman weekend" you are so going to have a good time whatever happens, just having time to yourself will be relaxing enough.

marathon man update: de nade, rien, nothing, zilch etc, I have been having a good laugh about it. I am so glad that I put my cards on the table and am not wasting any more of my time on him.

skippy is back in the UK the 2nd week in may and we are arranging a meet up. It has been lovely talking to him on email as he is able to write in English and not in txt speak, using correct punctuation, very unusual!

lou33 · 29/04/2009 16:56

itm it's ok i think i have got it all reconciled in my head now, though of course i may not be saying that tomorrow!

and i am still a thesp free zone

Remotew · 29/04/2009 18:04

RJ have a great time.

Lou have a great time.

Good for you Dollparts. Hope the NM is what you want.

dollparts · 29/04/2009 18:14

ok, it went a little something like this.....

I was sitting in starbucks after a bit of shopping, dd was away with exhb for the weekend. I was reading the times whilst minding my own business over a latte and, lets call him the banker (in the nicest possible way) asks if anyone is occupying the vacant seat at my table-to which I reply no.

Still reading the times he comments on how busy it is in town today. I glance up and reply a quick yes, I suppose so and carry on reading. Banker then proceeds to start a conversation with me and I've now decided he's rather up my alley looks, frame etc etc.

He's rather charming and conversation moves at a steady, friendly pace. I learn after an hour and another latte later that he is single, never been married, no children, works for an investment bank, lives around 13 miles from me, is funny, well mannered and a all in all appears rather sane, good looking and in general rather nice.

So, as I get up to leave to buy those shoes I have been debating over banker asks moi for my mobile digits! I mean, he's nice and all but I am a little taken aback, after all-I am just out doing a bit of shopping! I umm and ahh but think, what the hell and I give him my number...nothing ventured and all that.

He only goes and rings me the same evening we speak on the phone for 2 and a bit hours and arrange to meet the next day!

I don't give myself much time to think about it, it happened so quickly but I go along and meet him and we spend the whole day together!

Anyway, I have been seeing him regularly since then, he is very sweet and appears genuine. Bless him, he texts me each morning before he starts trading, is always on time, calls when he says he will and is making me smile a great deal.

How the hell did this happen? I'm still asking myself!

ridingjoker · 29/04/2009 18:29

dollparts - its those sneaky ones you dont expect that are the best. good luck and enjoy him it

aseriouslyblondemoment · 29/04/2009 18:29

inthemistsoftime · 29/04/2009 19:50

bloody hell, you never guess what happened?

yes, I got a txt from marathon man about half an hour after I posted on here!

somethings along the lines of him still being a little in shock and trying to write a txt for a couple of days.

many of my friends have said that some people are not into this constant txting thing and I must say he has never been that good at it!

anyway I have replied but in a very neutral way, will wait and see what happens, but am more cautious now.

dollparts, aww that sounds so lovely, that sort of thing never happens to me

ridingjoker · 29/04/2009 19:58

woooo hoooooooo itm

inthemistsoftime · 29/04/2009 20:23
