adad123 · 10/03/2009 23:26

Hi ,

You did, and advised me to head over here.
I'm a single dad, busy with the kids, their activities, work etc but now ready to look again and not finding it easy.

And reading your comments you lot terrify me,whoever said women were the weaker sex,

and i'm trying to work out what my nickname would be...

aseriouslyblondemoment · 10/03/2009 23:45

lol.
you are def.on the right thread and as i said male pov always/def.welcome!
why should we lot terrify you?
we are mostly cynical baffled by men!
please explain the following for us
broken finger syndrome(tis a man thing for sure)
mind games
1st date etiquette
men and contact
LDR's
online profiles
the list goes on....
what have you done so far to find a woman?
am taking it that you have done the online dating thing?
which sites?
oh and you don't need a nickname we have those for our online cyber men or in your case women!

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 10/03/2009 23:57

oh bugger!
shouldn't have asked all those questions
tis a female thing!
expect we'll never hear from you again

OP posts:
adad123 · 11/03/2009 00:05

Yeh, i've just changed that I am a Man.
Wasn't really planning on posting on MN so didn't pay much attention to my profile but the site is fascinating.

What's broken finger syndrome? LDR's?
and I have never played mind games, can't really see the point.I don't read men's online profiles and anyone who doesn't want contact is an idiot.

I've been on Dating Direct and just joined POF but the two most important relationships I've had I've got to know the person first before anything happened so online is a bit daunting.

Recently I went out with someone I've been friends with for years but I think we'd been friends too long for it to go anywhere.

All those questions all worn out now...

adad123 · 11/03/2009 00:06

Yee of little faith.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 11/03/2009 00:14

ROFL here!
broken finger syndrome?-er,well,men's seemingly reluctance to text/call!
LDR=Long Distance Relationships
will let you off re:mind games/contact
POF is a big hit on here
I am signed up to FRD tho am jaded with the whole thing tbh
So,what are you looking for in a woman?
We are good on here at spotting talent potential, granted male ofc.
but,we could find a likely female for you

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 11/03/2009 00:17

whats your online dating name btw?
i need a perve look!

OP posts:
adad123 · 11/03/2009 00:31

What am I looking for in a woman?
Well after reading one thread, a women who doesn't think getting p*ssed four times a year makes you an alcoholic for a start.

Mmmmm. I think i'm looking for a woman who when I see her my heart skips and i don't think I can really quantify it more than that. That makes me sound like a right wimp.

You don't really get to say things like this to fellow males.

Online dating name? too shy at the moment.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 11/03/2009 00:46

Hmm.well i don't think that any of us on here think that tbh
and i think that you need to be more spec.than that iyswim i.e hair colour,build,age-range and yes roughly whereabouts you are too(it helps!)
then we will have to do the dreaded woman looking for a woman search(don't get ideas!)
and don't worry I will get your online dating name
have a think, then we can help!
am off to bed, school run and all that
hope I haven't scared put you off!
nite!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 11/03/2009 00:48

hi 123,

i use pof. i'll show you mine if you show me your... i'm giraffehunter...so come on. spill.

the good thing is if you show us your profile we can give you hints and tips on improving it if it needs it.

we may seem scarey as we often talk about more than one guy at one time. but thats online when we're at the stage of trawling the sites. once i have a few victims candidates, then 1 go on first dates. then i pick 1 to continue dating.

i struggle with dating (or even texting/msn) more than 1 fella.

some of the people are met on real life too like your friend you were talking about.

broken finger syndrome - i would say this is better defined as when they fail to contact after a date. just "disappear". it's just manners to say your not interested. but some men have no balls courage, and take the chicken way out.

and yeah, come on. where are you and roughly what you looking for? for us to trawl for you we def need

height preference
body type(or rather is there any body type you defo cant do)
with/without kids

supervixen · 11/03/2009 08:21

LOL asbm you do make me giggle, I liked the long list of questions you asked, and in true male style he only answered 2. only kidding 123, i hope you find this thread helpful.

adad123 · 11/03/2009 09:17

Oh ok then, I?m in the West Midlands so that would be one, I?m 40 in a couple of weeks so around that age give or take a few.

Not really bothered about hair colour or height.
Build? Slim, average , curvy (going on dating site definitions)

I have young children, so having children is probably a good idea.

I don?t mind messaging (or whatever) my online dating name but I?d rather not post it.
But then again I'll think about it I might stick my name on later when I've had a look at my profile.

And I?m going out tonight so you could have a look, laugh, comment and I will not see them until tomorrow.

ridingjoker · 11/03/2009 09:22

one of the other girls will give you their email (i have stalker ex issue.lol) and you can give us it that way. then we can have a perve look.

pof is very busy though. i dont have any photo's on mine just now. tend to put them on when i'm looking for candidates. but it gets a bit hectic with photo's as there's so many mailing.

have you got a photo on yours?

JaneSeymour · 11/03/2009 09:25
