Im also feeling an ultimatum coming on with exbf but I often get like this when he is so erratic with his contact - ie texting me for hours every day or nada for days on end.

But this time I might go thru with it.

kdk · 15/03/2009 19:35

@sincitylover - I know exactly what you mean - I have now resorted to being slightly economical with the truth as far as my age goes - amazing the difference it makes even with exactly the same profile/photo etc. Blardy bunch of unimaginative eejits think if you are over 40 as a female you are past it .
Mind you still get the 20-something and 60-something chancers ....

aseriouslyblondemoment · 15/03/2009 19:38

SCL Hi I'm here!!!
ooh marketing man-describe him please
samename1 hmmm...
I have been frd-ing it a bit over the week end had two unpleasant experiences on there
Thought of you actually as one munter man saw that I had a webcam, sadly had to go onto msn with him as he doesn't have pic on because of his job-cps
But on a pos.note have another fella messaging me will think of a name for him,he's very tall 6 3" we will see!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 15/03/2009 19:47

OP posts:
sincitylover · 15/03/2009 19:49

no not paid up member but might do (when I get paid).

marketing man is 41 (Ithink) 5 10, dark, possibly baldshaved head, likes the arts, single - thing is they write all this stuff about being spontaneous, going away for lovely weekends and my heart sinks because I cant be that spontaneous anymore and I wonder whether they won't understand if they don't have kids.

Lives in a posh part of London. Who knows. I replied because he seemed ok and was quite complimentary but not in a pervy way.

sincitylover · 15/03/2009 19:50

oops the strikeout didn't work

lou33 · 15/03/2009 20:00

omg i feel ill after eating too much dinner

supervixen · 15/03/2009 20:03

I do wonder that too SCL - I cant just pop out for a drink any old time.

horserider replied and wants to know when we can go for that romantic date. bit soon isnt it, only the 2nd message!

sincitylover · 15/03/2009 20:05

think marketing man might be a bit too metrosexual for me

sincitylover · 15/03/2009 20:06

just eating mine lou - roast chicken a bit late but I lost all track of time. Did you have the boeuf roti?

lou33 · 15/03/2009 20:06

scl you on msn at all this evening?

Remotew · 15/03/2009 20:08

I have the same problem with age. Don't think you can leave it off on POF.

They all go on about being constantly active, travelling, extreme sports, dropping everything at a hat. You cannot do that with children, even with teens. Maybe they are looking for women without kids. Also my couch potato livestyle doesn't match up.

I'm only looking for someone to have nights out with and sex with, if I fancy them, not an activity partner.

lou33 · 15/03/2009 20:08

beef joint , yorkshire pud, (one huge one i made and divided), fine green beans, carrots, gravy

had to pass on the pudding of profiteroles, i couldnt have eaten a single one, so the kids have devoured them

lou33 · 15/03/2009 20:09

i thought activity partner on pof was just that until i was told it meant something a bit more naughty

Remotew · 15/03/2009 20:09

I'm stuffed too. Had chicken fillets and all the trimmings.

sincitylover · 15/03/2009 20:10

that's right eve - a few drinks, some good sex is about all I can manage/want lol. No white water rafting here.

Lou prob try later but ds2 is on laptop on the moment and haven't managed to get msn on the mac ( am on the mac atm)

lou33 · 15/03/2009 20:11

ok will look out for you

am currently trying to move from this chair to search for school uniform for the morning, but feel weighted down

Remotew · 15/03/2009 20:12

SCL at least you have two computers. We share the one and fight over it. Still waiting to afford a laptop but know what will happen. I will want to use it sat on my sofa and so will DD.

spicemonster · 15/03/2009 20:14

Ooh hello all again. Well I've had one message from a normal sounding bloke on pof. Most of them don't seem to be able to string a sentence together and I don't think it's too much to ask to want that is it? I haven't messaged anyone yet which someone asked. Do most of you? I know that SBM said she didn't because she's shy but wonder what the rest of you do. I'm not exactly shy so it feels a bit odd emailing people but would love to hear what you do

sincitylover · 15/03/2009 20:15

although should add that talking to a bloke at work late 30s who can do all that (spontaneity, activity, skiiing etc) but is desperate to settle down and would give it all up at the drop of hat. He wants kids and wants to have them soon. he is such a sweetie.

spicemonster · 15/03/2009 20:16

Sorry - as I pressed 'post', I realised that last sentence didn't make any sense! I meant to say 'I'm not exactly shy but it still feels a bit odd emailing people'

sincitylover · 15/03/2009 20:16

the mac was bought by exh just before we split and the laptop is my work laptop.

The mac is slow tho so we all fight over the laptop

Remotew · 15/03/2009 20:26

I don't send messages on POF much i.e making the first move and I find the responses half hearted.

Only reply to messages if I like the profiles, like want they say and should have put this first like the photo.

Usually just chat a bit as I do here, very natural. Don't give tmi away about work, life etc until we have been exchanging a few emails. Will arrange to meet up, although I've only met one so far, after a week or two. But did dating direct years ago and met up with a few guys then.

Don't take too much advice from me I'm not very successful with internet dating or any for that matter.
