N1, hope things work out for you on the job front, you seem like such an intelligent and dedicated person so you really deserve this.

Remotew · 22/02/2009 21:20

Sorry to hear about your friend Lou, hope she gets better soon and doesn't let him back in this time.

What a night I had. My foreign friend text to say he was finishing work very late could I meet him then so I declined.

Went shopping in the afternoon. Got back and went to a bar to celebrate making an important purchase this was around 6ish. We had a few nibbles then went off to another bar. Then got a cab to the next town where everyone goes out. This was still in our day clothes, I hadn't washed my hair, mimimul make up etc. To cut a long night short I rolled in at 3.30 after hitting a couple of clubs with a strange man in tow. Made him a cuppa and tried to get rid. In the end I let him stay in the spare room. We have mutual friends so even though I took a chance felt safe to a point.

Got up feeling rough as, he was making a cuppa. Told him I was making Sunday Dinner later for my friends. He text me to ask if he could come too, so I agreed. Cooked for 6 with a massive hangover. He's invited me to his on Wednesday for a meal. Looks like I've met a new man. He lives about a mile away.

Holly your night out sounds similar to mine. I didn't get the chance to get dolled up though!

Everyone is very quiet tonight! I'm going to get an early night I'm paying for all this drunken deborchary. Never again.

lou33 · 22/02/2009 22:29

am pretty certain she wont be letting him step foot in the house again

lou33 · 22/02/2009 22:35

and to top my weekend my heating and hot water have just broken down again

sincitylover · 22/02/2009 22:51

I think there is something in the air atm. Sorry about your heating lou

Nothing more miserable. I went for a sleep this afternoon. Still feeling knackered.

lou33 · 22/02/2009 23:38

i had a lovely nap but am stilll tired so am hoping for a good sleep

sincitylover · 22/02/2009 23:45

watching the oscars. Must go to bed soon!!

N1 · 23/02/2009 00:07

and I just got in from building the kitchen. It's a two week job so plenty still to do.
There os to much to comment on and I already get some of the manes mixed up. Feeling a tad tired doesn't help matters much.

On the positives, glad to hear about Eve's mew friend and hoping the hangover is over on Monday morning. Holly23 sounds like she had good fun and given that the fitguy is on her mind, there must be something special creeping in there. I hope her hangover goes soon. In themists - good that you have found someone who adds chemistry to your life, a much wanted event, I am sure. RJ good luck for Friday.

asbm, I hope you have a good rest and wake feeling much better. Being tired and then getting irritated really doesn't help. Lou, I hope your luck changes. With friends getting hurt, being left waiting, having heating break down and feeling tired for most of the day, something has to happen that makes things get better.

Hopefully I got everyone.

Sleep well everyone, I am off as well.

lou33 · 23/02/2009 00:13

it's typical of my life

ridingjoker · 23/02/2009 08:12

morning all. my hangover has gone thank fully. cant bear those ones that last a few days.

abouteve - well done. those unplanned nights out are always the most fun and full of mischief. need a nickname and further details of this fella once you get over your hangover.

HOLLY23 · 23/02/2009 12:27

asbm, just emailed you back.

Lou, hope its gets sorted today, plumbing issues are a nightmare!

lou33 · 23/02/2009 12:31

if i had known this was going to happen i would have locked my friend in my house all weekend, he was here on saturday night and is a corgi registered plumber!

i have just replied asbm

ridingjoker · 23/02/2009 12:48

lou - heating are a real pain. i'm not bad here. landlord has the maintenence thing with company. i just call and guaranteed repair that day which is fab.

asbm - you are very subdued these days??? burnt yourself out with all these multiple cm i think????? will perhaps visit boat. but not staying there. no wc. just bucket. everything else i could up with except that.so b&b

holly - have you got your outfit sorted for meeting fitguy?as for the real deal. i think i have come to accept i will need to allow exdp to take dc overnight for this relationship to get anywhere.it's 3.5hr drive between us.which is 7hr just there and back.

oh and exdp was great on sunday. took dc out for the day and remebered to feed them this time.

Remotew · 23/02/2009 13:03

I've thought of a nickname for my new friend. 'My Captain' bit of a boat connection. Hope it's not too boring. He's tall, slim, nice looking, good fun to be with and has more front than Blackpool! Oh and only 7 years younger than moi.

Have you got your plumber sorted out. Lou?

The internet dating sites can be a great distraction but easy to become disillusioned with it all when you don't want to reply to the men who are messaging or the rare nice one has geographical complications. Hard to find the time to arrange dates for someone you might not hit it off with. Good idea to take a break and wait for a nice guy to find you on there.

ridingjoker · 23/02/2009 13:09

7 yrs. well done eve. only as young as the man you feel.
