So. I am finally compiling the details for the Lone Parent Camping/Festival trip next summer. Any last stragglers want to join us?

I did, you are on my list.

That's why I was confused when FA said she was emailing me!

I never go anywhere since splitting from dh and it would be nice for dd

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/09/2008 19:24

Personally I'm not worried if it's not just Lone Parents that come, if anyone else would be worried by it maybe they could email me?

Have mailed now and no bounce back.

Thanks!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/09/2008 20:19

It is done
Will send the email round now, I have removed RL names for now.

In looking at the list, we have a fair few needing to use Public Transport so we need to make sure we choose a festival with good links. We also have one coming from the continent so perhaps we need to take that into consideration?

I'm sending it in an email rather than posting it one here to keep it private, some of us have Ex-P's that we don't want to share the fact we are going away with. Not everyone has posted on the thread for this reason, some have emailed me without posting. With that in mind, please don't mention to any MNers you see on the list about them going, unless they mention it first! Hope that makes sense!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/09/2008 20:24

both of you have emails

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/09/2008 21:16

The email has gone out!

I'm off to clean my car now, just realised it's going to the garage tomorrow and looks like someone exploded a Frosties bomb in it

FAQ · 17/09/2008 21:20

got the email - I note I'm the only nutter with 3 or more who'll be doing public transport

squigglywig · 17/09/2008 21:34

Happy to travel with you FAQ if that'll help? I've only the one to worry about.

FAQ · 17/09/2008 21:42

yes I noticed you're "somewhere" near me - although from you MN profile "in the middle of nowhere" I'm guessing not that close (I'm in Wellingborough)

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/09/2008 22:05

pmsl

want me to email both of you so you have each other's email to chat off board?

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/09/2008 22:06

Have now sent a 2nd email with festival details. Camp Bestival is looking favourite here because I've heard nothing but good things about it and it ticks all our boxes.

It's in Dorset, there are transport details on the site, trains from London Waterloo and shuttle bus from the station

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/09/2008 22:37

takes 4.5 hours all in

FAQ · 17/09/2008 22:38

will have to look at the website when my poorly computer comes back - it's not loading properly on this knackered old thing.

Don't know what getting around London is like - how easy is it to get from St. Pancras to Waterloo??

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/09/2008 22:52

No idea, but doesn't look too bad, and both Waterloo and St Pancras have disabled access

nappyaddict · 17/09/2008 22:54

i haven't had one yet.
