Who else would be up for an MN Lone Parent Festival camping trip? Or are Pillock and Ate just a little bit crazy ......

thanks for doing this PotC. Really looking forward to it!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 23/07/2008 22:16

It's hopefully going to mean I actually do it next year, instead of just talking about it!

DeeLerious · 24/07/2008 06:38

Oh - just seen it. I think by next year we would be up for it. Please keep me posted.

my ds will be one year 9 months next summer...is that too young???? I'd be well up for it!

Ate · 25/07/2008 01:46

Lunavix sorry, been offline for a day or two! Maybe Pillock could pass on my email addy so I can provide details of the tannery I use?

justaboutgrownup of course you're welcome someone's got to babysit so everyone else can go on the pull after all

Glasto/Big Chill, etc are too large and rowdy for the young uns I think too. Although perfect for an adult only jaunt sometime?!

Ate · 25/07/2008 01:50

Tut at my manners! Pillock could you possibly pass my email addy onto Lunavix, please? TY

PillockOfTheCommunity · 25/07/2008 11:15

Sounds good Oops where is it? Lack of plastic tat is an unbelievable plus point. (Though I still manage to come home with another set of Poi/Devil stix/etc! And that's just for me! )

I recommend Sunrise Celebration still but it tends to be very early in the season and was so early this year in fact, that is was cancelled due to a monsoon which sent tents floating off.... but the music played on .

The House of Fairytales looks appealing. I'm half tempted to send off an email for more info on intended events. Will post it here if/when I get a response.

There seem to be a few potential 'appy campers without equipment, which I'm sure is something we can work around. One suggestion is that we plan at least a couple of optional communal cooking/eating sessions? In reality there tend to be so many food stalls that cooking isn't necessary but feeding a family that way can bump up the cost of the festy somewhat. For those without cooking equipment, maybe this would help?

bignutbrownhare · 29/07/2008 14:39

Ooh, can me and dd come? She'll be two next June, I'd love to take her to a festival.

But I intend to start saving as soon as I get back from my week in Great Yarmouth (this ccoming week) and should then have the necessary stuff by next year

PillockOfTheCommunity · 30/07/2008 20:10

FAQ · 30/07/2008 20:11

yes ShelleyLou and I are taking our DS's for a week - it's virtual "2 fingers up" at our ex-es to show them we are more than capable of not only looking after our DS's without them, but of having a bloody good holiday too

PillockOfTheCommunity · 30/07/2008 20:14

Excellent plan
My ds1 is away with his daddy for the week camping next week.

I've replied to all who've emailed me so far.

Has everyone had a look at the festival links?
