Who else would be up for an MN Lone Parent Festival camping trip? Or are Pillock and Ate just a little bit crazy ......

It's hopefully going to mean I actually do it next year, instead of just talking about it!

Lunavix sorry, been offline for a day or two! Maybe Pillock could pass on my email addy so I can provide details of the tannery I use?

justaboutgrownup of course you're welcome someone's got to babysit so everyone else can go on the pull after all

Glasto/Big Chill, etc are too large and rowdy for the young uns I think too. Although perfect for an adult only jaunt sometime?!

Sounds good Oops where is it? Lack of plastic tat is an unbelievable plus point. (Though I still manage to come home with another set of Poi/Devil stix/etc! And that's just for me! )

I recommend Sunrise Celebration still but it tends to be very early in the season and was so early this year in fact, that is was cancelled due to a monsoon which sent tents floating off.... but the music played on .

The House of Fairytales looks appealing. I'm half tempted to send off an email for more info on intended events. Will post it here if/when I get a response.

There seem to be a few potential 'appy campers without equipment, which I'm sure is something we can work around. One suggestion is that we plan at least a couple of optional communal cooking/eating sessions? In reality there tend to be so many food stalls that cooking isn't necessary but feeding a family that way can bump up the cost of the festy somewhat. For those without cooking equipment, maybe this would help?

yes ShelleyLou and I are taking our DS's for a week - it's virtual "2 fingers up" at our ex-es to show them we are more than capable of not only looking after our DS's without them, but of having a bloody good holiday too

Excellent plan
My ds1 is away with his daddy for the week camping next week.

I've replied to all who've emailed me so far.

Has everyone had a look at the festival links?
