It transpires that I now have a date on Wednesday.

I haven't got a clue what to do - as my last date was absolutely years ago.

Can dye my hair tomorrow, but haven't got anything half decent to wear. (owing to a bit of a drink problem, I piled on the pounds)
We are meeting in the daytime for safety reasons. He does not have any of my phone numbers although I have his. He doesn't even have my proper email address which is good.

Am in a mad panic now, feeling a bit paranoid about my beer belly too.

Any hints or tips that you lovely ladies care to share?

Agree re heels. And between now and then, tighten your tummy muscles and count to ten as often as you think of it - works wonders in no time.

Hmm, I assume from what you say re email address etc that you met him online?

Only tip I can offer is to be yourself. If he likes that brilliant, if he doesn't then you haven't wasted any more time than one date.

And stop being so worried about your belly. You are who you are, he can take you or leave you. And anyhow relationships based purely on appearances never last now do they. Who's to say he doesn't like a more voluptuos figure anyhow!?

Enjoy yourself and flirt a little/lot!

No real advice i'm afraid but I'm in the same situation as you but my date's planned for next weekend.
Have you tried everything in your wardrobe on??
Will keep watching this to hopefully pick up some hints lol. Hope it all goes well and report back because I'm nosy

2 on pof, (one friday, one sat lunch) and the other is an old friend from ages ago on sat night! (such a hussy! lol) possibly seeing someone else on sunday am as well but not sure yet.

oh and btw agree with gilly, be yourself, be honest & that's all. enjoy the banter a bit (if you wish) but go with the view this is me if you don't like it there's the door ('tis my attitude now after being messed about so much!)

spiders, that's where I met him LOL!

Have tried on all my jeans and none of them fit me. The button on one pair pinged across the room in disgust.

We are meeting for lunch, while the kids are all at school. Seemed easier that way.

He says he's only 5'6 (shortarse lol) am only 5'4 myself so heels hmmm, def not high ones.

DD1 is dyeing my hair tomorrow
