oh that's nice mamazon..i think you get more confident..well a bit anyway

MAMAZON · 31/01/2008 17:58

thats what im thinking

i have spoken to a few men actually. some of them are justtoo far away but have ended up really good chat friends.

they all help to boost the confidence too.

ZippiBabes · 31/01/2008 18:02

i don't mind them being further away..the guy i am seeing lives a 100 miles away

lou33 · 31/01/2008 18:42

better not to have htem too close, then you dont have to worry about bumping into them if it goes horribly wrong

tetti · 31/01/2008 23:47

That's funny actually,I saw one guy yesterday who I recognised from pof.Not my type at all though, but he stuck in my mind when I logged in one day,as I always see him round when I do the school round!lol

No,don't take it personally if someone stops replying to your txt's,messages etc,I'm guilty of that myself. It's very true what another poster said, you clock with a few, then fade the other one's out.I'm now chatting to 3 guys, but stopped messaging the others as I just found these ones more interesting, and I had more in common with them, especially one...:-).The other's are very nice to look at though,so I'll keep chatting to them for now!lol

lou33 · 01/02/2008 19:43

yes you may as well cast a large net then sift through the ones you want to keep, and hte ones you want to throw back

lunavix · 01/02/2008 19:48

ATort (and anyone else) it's not internet dating as such and I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it but...

I'm on facebook, and they have these flirt applications. One is called Zoosk, one is called Meet New People, another Flirtable... the thing is, I've had messaged and chatted to perhaps 50 different guys on this. I wasn't looking for everyone (I actually thought Zoosk and Meet New People - I'm not on Flirtable - were literally to make friends) but they are pretty much match making things. And the guys who have messaged me have been both cute, and normal, and it's free

LadyVictorianSqualor · 01/02/2008 19:56

Lou is right Flirtomatic is shite, I got told by a friend that it was just a chat site and to go on it, so I did and got constant streams of filfth. I did meet DP on there though, so there was oen good thing, but he said all he ever got was older women messaging him asking him if they could feed him cake and stuff.
WEIRD site.

ZippiBabes · 01/02/2008 20:01

lol is cake bad then?

so i shouldn't have sent this email yesterday

I am easy....after lunch and before tea time...then we can have cake after

LadyVictorianSqualor · 01/02/2008 20:02

LOL Zippi, he was 22 at the time, and the women messaging him were in their fifties saying they wanted to look after him etc, I thnk if I'd offered him cake he'd have jumped at the chance

lou33 · 01/02/2008 20:22

oh god , some of the crap i have been sent on flirto is unbelievable

i always block and never reply to their messages

tortoise · 15/02/2008 18:51

What is wrong with me? I haven't had any luck so far.
Maybe the fact i have 4 kids is putting men off! Does so many kids make it look like i have had many partners without being careful?

Might have a look at the parents already site later. Does anyone know what it is like?

lou33 · 15/02/2008 18:53

there is nothing wrong with you

what sites are you on again?

nutcracker · 15/02/2008 18:54

I am on Parents Already but you do have to pay to read a message someone sends you. Can't remember how much now because I only paid once and got a bit suss when I recieved no messages at all in the 3mths I subscribed, but had recieved messages before and immeidiatly after the subscription ran out.

nutcracker · 15/02/2008 18:54

I have zero luck too by the way, so it's not just you.

I have given up with them all again tbh.

ZippiBabes · 15/02/2008 18:55

there wont be anything wrong with you and i have never been asked about children i don't think anybody takes any notice when they first get in touch

have you tried making the first move?

and keep your profile short and fun

tortoise · 15/02/2008 18:58
